We stopped into Divine Treasures the other day after finding it on FindMeGF. The staff was so friendly when we walked in, and asked what allergens to be aware of, and gave us a tour of the store showing what I could and couldn't eat. We ended up getting a gluten and dairy free ice cream sandwich, some chocolates, and a small peanut butter pie. The ice cream sandwich was AMAZING. 10/10. I liked some of the chocolates better than others- definitely the fluffernutter one was delicious. We haven't tried the pie yet, but I'm definitely excited. I received a box of variety of dark chocolate caramels as a gift from my sister. They were amazing!! Each and every one of them. Even the ones I was skeptical about (ex: smoky, spicy flavored) but they were all delicious. I'm not even a caramel fan per se. I also eat chocolate sparingly. These were gone in a week. I love chocolate and I would not call anything that I ate chocolate. It is hard to describe the terrible taste. Blindfolded, you wouldn't even think you were eating chocolate or guess a caramel filling or peanut filling; all very profound flavors usually. We tried about a dozen different kinds; we finished not a single one fully and a handful we spit out the first bite. The first one I thought maybe it was old or went bad, but for every single flavor to be that way... My children who eat any candy, couldn't even stomach it! Beyond the terrible taste, the presentation does not stand up to the other high quality chocolatiers. There is not consistency in the product. Presentation is sloppy. The thickness of the shell is off, very difficult to bite through a few making it unpleasant to bite into. The price was high, but if it was good quality okay that's expected. Not for this. If you want good quality chocolate of this variety, locally Munson is much, much better and better price. Non-local of similar variety, Laderach which is actually a European chocolatier and amazing taste and presentation. A bit farther in CT, a true artist chocolatier is Donovan Family Confections. Do not waste your time or money here. It's inedible. read more

A great little chocolate shop in the middle of a random shopping plaza. Little pricy, but tasty chocolates I wanted to surprise my girlfriend with some chocolates. Since I was in the area, I remembered this little chocolates shop and decided to revisit them. I've been here before and really enjoyed the chocolates and the soft serve I got here. It cost a bit, but the quality was very high. I came in during a cold night and picked up a bunch of their coconut chocolate confectionaries. I won all the boyfriend points that night, and there's still a good chunk of the chocolates left to try. I've been hearing about Divine Treasures for quite some time, and despite meaning to go there for years, I never made it until recently. I first heard of this place I would guess around 6 years ago, and I've thought of it numerous times in that timeframe, but I just never went. I'd only been to Manchester once, at least 11 years ago, and never had any other reason to go back. Recently agreed to meet someone as a sort of a first date in the area, and the first and only place that came to mind was Divine Treasures.  We had planned to sit and eat lunch and then grab some chocolates and baked goods to go. I didn't realize there is no seating. Whoopsies. It's sort of like the baker I went into countless times as a child, lots of delicious treats, so seating. No big deal. Then I learned the only lunch/dinner type food they offer is frozen, to be reheated later. So "lunch" was out. But I didn't mind! Technically it was my breakfast, as I had eaten nothing that day. And a breakfast/lunch (brunch?) of chocolates didn't sound too bad to me. I ordered one each of a bunch of random chocolates and also picked up a....raspberry brownie?...if memory serves me correctly. The date was a dud, save for the fact that she ordered a soft-serve ice cream cone and for some unknown red flag reason took a couple bites and decided not to finish it. So she extended her arm out the window and told me she was going to wait for a seagull to swoop down and grab it. When I realized she was serious, I told her to hand it over so I could finish the ice cream. Which was a wise choice because the ice cream was great! I was under the impression Divine Treasures is 100% vegan, but when I was scoping out some of their chocolates, some of them were labeled "Vegan" and others were not, so it left me a bit unsure. This place wasn't quite what I was expecting, but every morsel of food I got there was EXCELLENT! I would definitely drive the 40 minutes to go to Divine Treasures again. read more

There's a well know ice cream shop in my neck of the woods who gave me an uncharacteristically smarmy and cold response when I asked them if they made sugar free ice cream. Well, that isn't the case at Divine Treasures, whose entire store offers healthier ice cream and chocolates made with no refined sugar, no corn syrup, no cholesterol, no trans-fats and contain only vegan and gluten-free ingredients. When you walk into the store at Manchester's Parkade shopping center, you'll see big showcases filled with chocolates on three sides. The right side was full of sugar free chocolates that looked amazing. I had a tough time picking out what I wanted (they are $30+/per pound), so I decided on seven big beauties for $14. They are pretty well sized, so I can savor one a day and not gobble them all at one sitting. DT has reinvited ice cream with an unbelievable soft serve product. I'm no health nut, but their vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free soft serve was terrific. They use whole nuts as the base, and I have to say my peanut butter-chocolate swirl was delicious. Last minute ordered a chocolate cake to try and save my mom's birthday, and DT did not disappoint! I was able to fome in and pick up my chocolate cake and box of caramels 15 minutes before they closed! I also picked out some more chocolates while I was there. The chocolate is pretty pricey, but it is fully gluten free and vegan! Chocolate cake (large) is a lot of bang for your buck! Not the best cake, but the best frosting! Frosting is so rich and the quality is clearly so high! Everything is gluten free and vegan! SO MANY desserts to choose from it's insane. They even have a sugar free section! The owner has celiacs so she gets it! I decided to give my 100th review to Divine Treasures. It's an all vegan chocolate store! Need I say more ??? So I was in CT recently and decided to make a stop here after finding out about it on Yelp (thanks Yelpers!). When I got there, I was surprised to see how much different pieces of chocolate they had available. There was a large variety of chocolate treats that you can pick from and buy by the pound. You can also buy a box of chocolates if you'd prefer. They had a few different chocolate boxes to choose from which I think are all listed on their site as well. It seems they specialize in chocolate, but they have other things as well including soft serve ice cream and a fridge full of goodies like cakes, ice cream cookie sandwiches, sandwiches, and other foods. I spoke to the lady working there who I believe was the owner. She was really sweet and helpful. It was hard to decide on what to get since there were so many options available. In the end, I settled for a chocolate box and some chocolates that I bought by the pound. Everything I bought was absolutely delicious. It's a bit on the pricey side, but worth it! read more

Very unhappy, I order 2 boxes of chocolates that cost over $95.00 with shipping, they arrived completely melted and liquefied. I call customer service and their response was they do not replace or refund because they have a hot weather policy. Some of the best chocolates around and more. If you're looking for gourmet chocolate, this is your place to go. The selection is huge with literally dozens of different types of organic, Belgium chocolates. Not only are they hand crafted and delicious, but they're all dairy-free and vegan! They do have a sugar-free selection too, but apparently those contain trace amounts of dairy. In the mood for something cold? They also have vegan soft serve with options for sundaes, several different sauces and mouthwatering toppings. The selection doesn't stop there. They now have vegan cheese, cakes and other delicacies. I haven't tried these yet, but I've heard great things about them. They are very friendly here and will often let you know about new products and upcoming events. The prices for the chocolates are a little steep, but the quality is very high, so I can't complain too much. The cost comes out to $1-2 per chocolate piece, depending on which you choose. I think the best value here is getting a sundae. You choose the ice cream flavor, sauce and toppings. They come to just under six bucks. Why is that a good deal? You'll get a generous serving of sauce and more. I recently picked a chocolate sundae with caramel sauce and peanut butter pieces. In the dish, there was a mound of chocolate pieces with large peanut butter melts. Incredibly good. You have to check this place out! Have been meaning to make a trip to divine Treasures ever since I got to know about their organic and vegan and gluten free products. Today I happened to stop by and pick up few chocolates. The store is super clean and the staff explained everything so well, since it was my first visit. Good to know the variants in chocolates. I got a couple of chocolates in a small bag. Pistachio, almond, caramel. Waiting to go back and try their soft serve. They have chocolates which are diabetic friendly, chocolate truffles, pizza, soft serve and lots more. The MOST AMAZING vegan cheese I have ever had! I just picked it up today and I can't stop thinking about it. It is taking every ounce of my being to keep myself from eating it all before the hubby gets home! It's called......SMOKED CHEDDER! I need to start this review by saying that I'm not vegan, I don't have Celiac disease or any dietary restrictions, but this is the best vegan, gluten-free chocolate I have ever had in my life. Everything here is gluten free and vegan.. it's like finding a unicorn of a business! They have cases full of chocolates but the real score is their food! I bought the mozzarella style cheese they make, a veggie calzone, veggie lasagna, a little chocolate cake and I tried the "ice cream".. everything was delicious!!!! I'm was in Connecticut with my Girlfriend, we were on our way to her sisters birthday party. What do you bring? Well Yelp helped with that! I looked for bakery and "Divine Treasures" came up. After reading a few reviews we set a course for the Divine. It's in a strip mall with plenty of parking. Just from looking outside you see your somewhere special. Going in I noticed how beautiful this place was. It was full of chocolates made from organic ingredients with no additives or preservatives. To add even more credit to the place the owner, Diane, was a wonderful woman. She was 100% vegan and loved to talk. She told us how much care she took in preparing the chocolate and how to tell what the best chocolate is. I only regret I didn't try more selections. I couldn't believe the ice cream was made with no dairy. It was some of the best I've tasted. After Diane recommended the chocolate ice cream we decided to try it. Diane wanted us to try the ice cream and it was instant love. If your a resident of Connecticut, try this place for parties and special occasions, if your from New York, make the trip over. This place is such a gem. I have had a dairy & gluten allergy for years, that I haven't been the best about, but recently decided to take it seriously. Places like this help so much. I was truly amazed at the selection of chocolates, cheeses, frozen meals, and especially ice cream, that are all free of dairy and gluten. I got a soft serve sundae which was amazing. It's hard to find DF/GF ice cream that isn't loaded with a bunch of oils/gums and that aren't super processed. This ice cream was truly amazing & I couldn't believe dairy free. I also brought a pint home of the Baileys flavor, because they didn't have it in soft serve, and it's literally one of the best DF ice creams I've ever had. I can't wait to go back and try some of the vegan cheese! My only recommendation is it'd be great to see the store a bit more updated.
