Wow, this chocolate is very delicious and the box presentation was so elegant! Thank you Chef Landegren for making such delicious chocolate! Everyone complimented us and said the chocolates were the best they have ever had. The little gold box is reusable and super elegant. We ordered 100 as favors and some larger boxes as gifts. We are your biggest fans from California! Lisa and Jerry!

I liked Bridgewater Chocolate ("BC") before they were in West Hartford Center. I had heard about BC from a Best Chocolate list. The list suggested that BC had great traditional chocolates, while another CT chocolatier had a modern European style. Both great, but different. I remember going to a store in Bridgewater, CT many years ago, but I don't think it was actually a Bridgewater Chocolate store. That store sold BC's high end classic chocolates like turtles, toffees, patties and caramels though. I bought a bunch and thought they were outstanding. I already thought that West Hartford Center was kind of a cool place, but when the West Hartford Bridgewater Chocolate store first opened, I knew it for sure. With its beautiful chocolates displayed like expensive jewelry, the West Hartford store feels like a high end chocolate boutique that would be at home in Beverly Hills. Sometimes, I feel under-dressed when I go. I'm afraid they're going to kick me out Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman-style, but the BC staff never makes me feel that way. They welcome me and offer me a free taste of chocolate. It always works. I buy a few extra. If you like things done in a classic way, but at the highest possible level, BC is your place. The chocolates have perfect shapes and colors. If you don't like the look of a circle with uniform color, they've got stripes. Don't like long, flat and smooth pieces, they'll rough it up with some chopped nuts. You only want to buy chocolate in the shape of a top hat? That's kind of weird, but they've got you anyway. The toffee breaks in your teeth the exact way you had hoped it would. The nuts and caramel in the turtles crunch and stretch simultaneously. The caramels ooze when you bite into them. The milk chocolate tastes smooth and sweet, and the dark chocolate tastes deeply bittersweet and complex. You can buy curated boxes of chocolates in very cool boxes if you're buying gifts. You can also order by the piece and select the exact ones you want. BC has things like bars and containers of chocolate covered pretzels. Love the pretzels. Even BC's bags are classy. Food-wise, Bridgewater Chocolates is one of the most respected names outside of CT. It's 5 Stars for me every time.

A solid spot for a quick treat but also makes for a decadent gift. The high quality chocolate comes with a high price tag but I'd argue it's worth the extra cost. Either way, I'll keep coming back for their milk chocolate hazelnut toffee.

It's a good thing I'm not in WeHa often anymore or I'd have no money anymore and would gain weight from chocolate consumption. My husband and I came in here for some dessert and man are we both glad we did. I highly recommend the pilgrim hat chocolates or the heart shaped truffles, they were absolutely incredible. Jay's a big fan of the chocolate shaped golf balls and hasn't shared with me, so I'm guessing they're super good. Next time we're in WeHa, we'll be back to sample more chocolates. Oh. The peanut butter patties are also a good choice too.

Add 'Get a scoop at Kilwin's" to your Summer Bucket List!…read more Food: Absolutely decadent! I got a scoop of Two Berry Pie ("Vanilla-flavored ice cream, strawberry, blueberry & sugared pie crust") in a cup and the little got Lemon Sorbetto! Both were rich, creamy, and bursting with flavor. Kilwin's offers a sample so you can actually taste before you decide, which is a major win. It was a tough decision, but I will be back for the Cake Batter. The cones are made fresh in-house and smell divine. Beyond ice cream, there's a whole lineup of treats dipped in chocolate: pretzels, Oreos, marshmallows, you name it. Sweet tooth? Handled. Diet? Not. Service: Everyone was super friendly and patient, even with a line. You can tell they actually enjoy working there, which makes the whole experience feel even sweeter. Atmosphere: It's more of a grab-and-go setup, like just a candy store that sells ice cream not an ice cream shop, so there's no indoor seating but right outside there are plenty of benches in downtown West Hartford. The area is busy, walkable, and perfect for a side of people-watching. The quality is top-tier, the flavors are spot-on, and everything feels like a treat because it is. Worth every penny. 10/10 recommend for locals and visitors too.

Just like a dive bar that serves up good and affordable cocktails, Tastease gives you, "tasty" mini donuts. So you don't have to feel guilty about eating more than one. The donuts are flavorful and the detail they put into icing their treats is amazing. The owners are delightful. Their warm friendly personalities, add to the experience of getting your doughnuts at Tastease. So, if you're in Hartford, CT, I highly recommend that you stop by and treat yourself to a donut.

Decided to give this place a go, so we made the trek here. parking is pretty much non-existent. The front of the store has spots but not much else. The front end is a little worn down, but the inside is clean. By the time I came here, they were mostly out of donuts. The lady in the front was a bit weary from the morning rush, so when I came in asking for a dozen donuts, she pretty much just started grabbing donuts to put into the tray. When a dozen donuts comes up to 24 dollars, you do make note of the price. These donuts had to be incredibly tasty to justify a price point similar to a french macaron. They were pretty dang good. Each donut was cakey, soft, sweet, and flavorful. The few that I had were done well, and some even had a little filling in the middle to help punctuate the flavors. If I got here early, and got time to pick a peck, and the price was a little cheaper to get a dozen, then I would be willing to recommend this place hands-down. Given the pricing and my issues, I had to dock a star. Issues aside, these little delectable bites are some of the best around. If price is no object, then you would be hard pressed to find tastier bites.

And that adorableness comes in twenty flavor varieties - peanut butters, candies, fruits, cookies, and of course...chocolates. They cost between $1 and $1.20 each depending on the quantity you want. I bought a box of fifteen for $15. I had some time to kill before my appointment in Rocky Hill, so I also ordered a small coffee, lemon, and almond donut to enjoy on site. Now that's easier said than done because the store is small and only has a counter with two stools. Luckily, both were vacant so I settled in, drank their excellent freshly made coffee (small for $3.50) and savored my little donut treats. Indulge By Palazzo also specializes in coffees and protein shakes to help you wash down those donuts, and it looks like they are set up to sell ice cream in season. If you are a donut hound, and appreciate adorableness, indulge yourself with a visit to Palazzo and walk out with a box of their petite sweet treats.
