They've been around since 2012 and offers a variety of treats; from macarons, cupcakes, bars, pies, truffles, and cookies. There are three locations; Avon, South Windsor, and West Hartford. This one in Avon is super cute and whimsical; love the decor with the picture frames on the wall. There was a table and some chairs to enjoy your treats. I decided to get a few macarons, bars, and a cupcake. All were so good but my favorite were the macarons. They were the perfect texture, lightly crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. This place is definitely a gem and I can't wait to go back!

This one is located in Avon in the Old Avon Village plaza. There were plenty of parking when I went. The bakery is pretty spacious with some tables and seats. The display was filled with delicious looking cupcakes and other treats. They are known for their cupcakes. I got a few different ones to try with my family; the Oreo, funfetti, and brownie flavors. We were all very happy with the outcome; they were moist and up there with the best cupcakes I've had in a while. They also have gluten free, vegan, mini cupcakes, and cupcakes kits. Other treat options were the chocolate covered Oreos and cannoli chips and dip. I bought a few of those Oreos and they didn't disappoint. I can't wait to go back and try out more treats!

Think people are hating this place because they are comparing the food to Stop & Shop. The taste is pretty different. Sour Dough from NY, Vermont that was "baked today" but feels half frozen is $7 at Whole Foods ... so complaining about $10 for a local one is kind of wild. Yesterday I had a baguette from the West Hartford location. Ate it on the way home. It was so good. Finally tried a sandwich. I had their Turkey Sandwich today. Shit was life changing. Haven't had an experience like that since having a steak at J Gilberts for the first time. It is like wow this is what real food taste like and what our parents & grand parents would eat before everything was mass produced. Everything was local and delicious. Price wise it was $2 more than a regular sized Jersey Mikes Turkey Bacon sandwich. The coffee and the other baked goods I thought were just ok but their bread, cookies and sandwiches are incredible.

The shop is cozy with additional outdoor seating during the nice weather. It's always crowded, but the line does move fairly quickly. There is hardly seating available especially early morning and prime lunch time. We usually take our things to-go. One of the things that makes Dom's Coffee stand out is their Charcoal Mocha. It's so delicious and the color is beautiful, perfect for a Halloween/fall treat. The mocha has a rich, but there is a hint of coconut flavor--you don't actually taste the charcoal. Another thing that I like is their tea selection and season tea drinks. During my last visit, I had an Apple Pie Chai which paired well with my Pumpkin Scone. My all time favorite was their Blackberry Mint Chai in the spring. I loved how unique it was and the flavors really worked! My dad really loved their grilled cheese sandwich. It had Swiss, cheddar cheese and he added tomatoes. He says that Dom's makes the best grilled cheese which doesn't surprise me because of the Dom's Cheese shop that is located with the coffee shop. We enjoyed the omelette (if you order more than 3 ingredients there's a charge) and the village breakfast which was eggs, potatoes (slightly blackened), sourdough toast (or wheat) and bacon. Prices are fairly standard ($11-14) and portions not very large. The panetonne, toasted coconut, and chocolate chip scones ($5 each) were all good and baked well. The honey latte and hot chocolate (most drinks are $4-8) were also very creamy and delicious, though slightly too sweet for our tastes (made it taste good though!) You order at the counter and then take a table and place a marker with nice words like "love" and then your food is brought to you. The actual space is very inviting, with lots of nooks and crannies (tables with chairs, couches, a fireplace). They also sell t-shirts ($30) and sweatshirts ($40-50?) which are pretty soft material, as well as ground coffee, cards, granola, etc. The other half of their space is their homemade pasta place so it's a unique layout and looked fun as well. There were plenty of customers cycling in and out, many sitting down with a warm drink and a pastry. Parking isn't huge but was not super super small but could be an issue if they got an influx of folks hanging out. Wouldn't blame them though because it's a comfortable place with free wifi. The service is spectacular and the servers smile earns an even greater smile in return. On one half of the open and airy space is Beanz and on the other side Pasta Co. Each works in unison. Seating is abundant with open and tucked away spots. Some limited outside seats as well. We have purchased breakfast items and devilishly delicious snacks and beverages. Over at Pasta are fresh dishes for a relaxing bite. There are also take home coolers and freezers for enjoying at home.
