Every candy here is curated from all over the world. You can find amazing Swedish candies to Italian hard candies. Everything is so organized and so fun to look at! It was so fun to ask questions about where all the candy comes from and even try a piece to see what to get! You can scoop your own bag and feel all the nostalgia or buy a prepared bag or individual pieces. There is so much to choose from it can definitely be overwhelming but the woman at the counter was so patient with us and gave us some really awesome suggestions! My daughter loved their play station and it was a serious relief she was occupied with that so I could focus on finding some goodies for the fam. We opted for a variety of their sour Swedish candy and a bag of Italian hard candies. We even got this gigantic gummy worm and my daughter was just mesmerized at us pulling it out of the container! Though it's definitely pricey you are getting high quality candy from all over the world. This shop is incredibly unique. You do get a discount if you shop at their bakery first so definitely do that because I'm telling you are about to spend a lot because everything is just so good! Definitely will be here again!

BouNom Emporium is a small candy shop, offering candy from around the world from Sweden, UK, Spain, and more. There is an awesome variety of gummy candy that you can scoop into your own bag. Raspberry Lemonade Skulls, Watermelon Gummy Sharks, Pineapple Grapefruit Rings, and other fun flavors and shapes. If you love Peach Rings, you would literally be a kid in a candy store here. My husband likes this kind of gummy candy and hand picked a few different types for him to try. Since I visited around Halloween, there were a lot of fun Halloween shapes like vampire teeth and candy corn. I was also really excited to find the Sakura Matcha Pocky. They also had some of my favorite Kit Kats too. This place is truly unique and I haven't been to another candy shop like it. I loved the fact that they weren't wall to wall full of candy because it gets overwhelming. I highly recommend stopping by if you are in the Avon ares.

They've been around since 2012 and offers a variety of treats; from macarons, cupcakes, bars, pies, truffles, and cookies. There are three locations; Avon, South Windsor, and West Hartford. This one in Avon is super cute and whimsical; love the decor with the picture frames on the wall. There was a table and some chairs to enjoy your treats. I decided to get a few macarons, bars, and a cupcake. All were so good but my favorite were the macarons. They were the perfect texture, lightly crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. This place is definitely a gem and I can't wait to go back!

But there may be more options available.... Definitely worth a pop-in to get something small and taste the deliciousness. Regardless, the interior is beautiful decorated. It feels like a modern tea room with some availability to sit. The walls are a beautiful calm blue. They have some cold drinks, and the cups cakes - very moist, definitely have standing life in them. The employee was very kind and friendly, and the shop seems smoothly run. The shop seems to be in two plazas, and have designated parking on either side next to the building. Watch carefully for the signs, because the plaza is a little nondescript from the road.

Their Avon location is cute and quaint and boy of boy does it smell good when you walk in! I've gone here many times to get some sweet treats for the kids and I. They NEVER disappoint. My daughter usually cons me into getting way more than we need but I'm never truly upset about it because everything is so good. I for one am not a big super sweet frosting person. I've always preferred the whipped cream frosting or cream cheese frosting but their buttercream is something that even I enjoy. They keep their peanut butter options completely separate from the other flavors and even asked if I wanted my peanut butter cupcake in a separate box for allergy purposes. They offer dietary accommodations including gluten free and vegan as well and they have a table of delicious chocolate dipped Oreos and beautiful hot cocoa bombs. There's also an ice cream counter. They even have something for the 4 legged friends!! With multiple locations they are pretty accessible to give a try

It is a small bakery with a limited selection (i did, however, go late in the afternoon), but the pastries were perhaps the best I have ever had - no exaggeration. The proprietor was incredibly friendly and welcoming, but most importantly she can bake! While in the area i also went to the Paris Baguete (in West Hartford), and there was absolutely no comparison - Le Bahn Patisserie is operating on a completely different level, and if you are planning a trip to Paris Baguette I would highly recommend going to Le Bahn instead. As noted, there is a smaller selection, so I would probably call ahead to see what she has, but if you are looking for some of the finest baked goods you have ever tasted you owe it to yourself to make the trip to Le Bahn Patisserie - you really won't regret it! I live about 45 minutes away, and I intend to make it a regular weekend stop - it really is that good

I find that most bakeries drown their flavors in sugar, glazes, and frosting, while the pastries offered at Le Banh Patisserie deliver the perfect balance of taste and texture without being cloyingly sweet. If you are a fan of crossaints, you owe it to yourself to give these a try - they are golden and flaky on the outside with an incredibly buttery and airy center, and baked to perfection. Whether you choose the almond, chocolate, or classic butter, I guarantee you won't be disappointed, and will likely feel as if you just stepped out of a Parisian café. The scones are equally delightful with a crisp exterior while remaining soft and moist in the middle, and abounding in flavor. Also, be sure to grab a Doodle cookie (or two) before you go, and give the Vietnamese coffee a try - you'll be glad you did. Above all else, the owner/baker is one of the friendliest and most personable people you are likely to meet, and I could have spent the entire afternoon talking with her. After complimenting her on the quality of her treats and contemplating the lack of decent bakeries in the area, she was generous enough to recommend other establishments which she thought would be worth trying. In addition, after telling her I would love to possess her skill, she encouraged me to give it a try and even gave me a few resources with which to begin my baking journey. Overall, I can highly recommend this hidden gem as perhaps the finest confectionary I have ever had the good fortune to stumble across, and would honestly suggest to anyone that they would be doing themselves an incredible disservice by failing to stop in one afternoon and give Le Banh Patisserie a try

Review…read more First time writing a review for a restaurant but this place needs one I think. The ambiance and service are all good. The problem is the food. There aren't many decent options for appetizers so we went with this feta cheese spread. It came with the whipped feta cheese, toast, garlic confit (presumably) and beets. The only thing "spreadable" was the whipped feta. The garlic confit wasn't cooked long enough so it was unusable. The beets were kind of pointless since they also couldn't be spread and tasted of nothing, not even the earthy flavor you would normally associate with beets. Entrees got even worse. My husband and I are the type where you put food in front of us and it's gone in two minutes. Bad mistake here. He had chicken cacciatore and only realized it was still pink when he had a couple bites left. I got the $44 flank steak. Big mistake. For $44 I got an ok steak, bitter sauce, and a layered sweet potato dish that I'm pretty sure they microwaved. The potatoes were cold. First time ever going to a restaurant and getting cold food. I thought that only happened on Kitchen Nightmares. There was a solid, congealed cheese mass on top of the potatoes which I can only assume was due to the microwave. We were looking forward to this place but after dropping $140 on this nonsense, we 100% will never go back. On the plus side, the service was great and the drinks were good too. The problem is we left there and legitimately thought we were going to get sick. Not a good look for a restaurant. Stay away!

Well, it's not really a horse trailer. It's a mobile coffee shop specializing in coffees, espressos, cappuccinos, mochas, chais, lattes, baked goods and more. I spent some time chatting with Julian, Happy Tail's friendly and engaging proprietor. She explained that the coffee shop will be there for most days into December, then will take a hiatus for the winter. I ordered a 12-ounce iced White Chocolate Pistachio Latte for $6.17, and it was so good I kind of wished I had upgraded to a 16-ouncer. It had a distinct pistachio flavor, and the chocolate component was noticeable but not overpoweringly sweet. It was fantastic. I can't recommend Happy Tail's enough. My latte was great, and I really enjoyed meeting and chit-chatting with Julian. I'm sure you'll enjoy both as well.
