Great place friendly staff however a little pricey for the value. I could go to Friendly's down the street and get a larger portion.

They've been around since 2012 and offers a variety of treats; from macarons, cupcakes, bars, pies, truffles, and cookies. There are three locations; Avon, South Windsor, and West Hartford. This one in Avon is super cute and whimsical; love the decor with the picture frames on the wall. There was a table and some chairs to enjoy your treats. I decided to get a few macarons, bars, and a cupcake. All were so good but my favorite were the macarons. They were the perfect texture, lightly crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. This place is definitely a gem and I can't wait to go back!

But there may be more options available.... Definitely worth a pop-in to get something small and taste the deliciousness. Regardless, the interior is beautiful decorated. It feels like a modern tea room with some availability to sit. The walls are a beautiful calm blue. They have some cold drinks, and the cups cakes - very moist, definitely have standing life in them. The employee was very kind and friendly, and the shop seems smoothly run. The shop seems to be in two plazas, and have designated parking on either side next to the building. Watch carefully for the signs, because the plaza is a little nondescript from the road.

If you're looking for a highly quality, gorgeous, designer cake, look no further than IncrEdible…read morecake art. It truly is incredible. I wanted a small cake for my car/truck obsessed son's second birthday. I put in a quote request with Bella, and within hours she had several mock up designs with multiple scenes. We went back and forth with the options. Bella was extremely accommodating and helpful in making decisions for our cake. Since it was just going to be five of us, the owner, she suggested we go with a 4" square cake. In speaking with her, it became clear her passion for making her customers happy. She was excited about "playing with candy rocks" and came up with all sorts of creative ideas. When I picked up the cake, Bella greeted me outside with a mask and kept her distance. I felt very safe picking up. She was super friendly and kind! It was so obvious how much she took pride in her work. And then later that night- we revealed the cake. It was obvious why she took so much pride in it! It was literally the most gorgeous cake I've ever seen in my life. See pictures attached. Every side of the cake had a realistic scene. When we brought it out to my son, his face completely lit up!!! The look on his face was worth every. Single. Dollar. We showed him each side of the cake and he legitimately squealed, with his excitement growing more and more with each side. This cake was so beautiful that it pained me to cut into it. However, we just had to taste it. Boy, was it worth cutting into! The chocolate cake was moist, delicious, and not sickeningly sweet like many cakes can be. My parents, who are the pickiest people when it comes to desserts, even commented on how perfectly done it was. We ended up getting about 8 servings out of the 4" cake because it was pretty tall. This cake, without a doubt, made my son's birthday. A delicious cake that also is a piece of art? How can you go wrong? Highly recommend!!!

I thought that was odd, so I got back to my car and called the store. A young girl/woman answered. I asked if they were open, and she said "we are ". I go around to the front of the store again, the door is unlocked, I walk in, stand at the counter for one minute, and no one comes out to the counter! I turned around and walked out. You've lost my business. You're too expensive anyway! - and apparently employ rude people! P.S. My toddler had the marshmallow sky ice cream, which had marshmallow and chocolate chip cookie dough; he loved it of course. The prices were steep but it was worth it. We ate our ice creams outside on their patio. I really enjoyed my visit and will be back on another cheat day!

I lived in the Bronx at that time and on the main shopping street near me was a bagel bakery-you walked in and saw the vats where they boiled them and then put them on a conveyor to bake. I started bringing home bagels for her and soon my whole family started asking me to bring some for them - next thing you know, I was bringing 12 - 13 dozen bagels whenever I drove home (I have a big family)! The bagel bakery began giving me a discount for such huge orders. The only kind I refused to bring were garlic - my car (and I) would smell like garlic long after I arrived. As wonderful as those bagels were, Blue House makes the best bagels I've ever had. And the whole Vibe there is so welcoming -always friendly and helpful staff, so many great products, and a lovely area to sit and enjoy my chai and bagel. Think people are hating this place because they are comparing the food to Stop & Shop. The taste is pretty different. Sour Dough from NY, Vermont that was "baked today" but feels half frozen is $7 at Whole Foods ... so complaining about $10 for a local one is kind of wild. Yesterday I had a baguette from the West Hartford location. Ate it on the way home. It was so good. Finally tried a sandwich. I had their Turkey Sandwich today. Shit was life changing. Haven't had an experience like that since having a steak at J Gilberts for the first time. It is like wow this is what real food taste like and what our parents & grand parents would eat before everything was mass produced. Everything was local and delicious. Overall, a good market to get all your grocery shopping needs.
