This shop is adorable! I went in March, definitely their odd season, but the ice cream coolers were still full. Outside has a open area with stereotypical lighting for a hoe down or line dance. They even had cow themed trash cans. The inside, as I said, had many coolers of ice cream from chocolate, to corn, to pup cups. They also had lots of local Connecticut themed products, such as candy and cutting boards. They even had lovely cheese and seasonal vegetables. The ice cream I got a carton to take, and although it stayed a little soft, it had a great chocolate taste. I'm still waiting for my dogs opinion on the pup cups, but something tells me he'll be enthusiastic.

Top scoop: Blueberry goat cheese and honey Bottom scoop: raspberry Oreo ^^this was a half and half kid scoop size

I need to meet whoever the mastermind of the flavors are, never would have thought to do blueberry goat cheese fresh honey or green tea passionfruit with white chocolate chips as flavor combinations! Blueberry, goat cheese, honey {4.5/5}: The only reason this wasn't a 5/5 is purely based on the fact that I don't like goat cheese, but it was subtle enough that I was really happy with this flavor and the swirls of fresh honey was very very good Raspberry Oreo {5/5}: Tasted like raspberry Oreo cheesecake, but lighter and very refreshing. I'll admit it got a little too sweet, but I ate the whole thing and would go back for more... The workers are always friendly and happy to help!

This farm stand is super delightful. There is a store and an ice cream window. They have all sorts of flowers and plants out front. Walking in, I was greeted by a friendly employee. They had all sorts of items; ice cream, ice cream sandwiches, handmade soaps, jewelery, honey, maple syrup, candy, sauces, fruits, veggies, milk, eggs, lollipop, chocolate, meats, and various accessories. The store gave me that friendly small town vibe. The owners, The Tullers, have been farming on this land since 1768! I specifically went in for the ice cream; they had so many flavors to choose from. I had the m&m cookie and graham cracker ice cream sandwiches, the cookies were chewy and the ice cream was super creamy. I also had the pint of Ube (purple potato) boba ice cream; the ice cream was so smooth and creamy, the flavor of ube was light and delicious, the boba was hard and chewy. I think I'd like it more without the boba; I did notice they had the Ube and chocolate chip version I might try out next. I am looking forward to going back to get some more ice cream because they were so good and had so many flavors to try. I like that they experiment and have unique flavors. Also, I love to support small local businesses, especially when they produce quality items. There is a walking trail onsite. First, take a hike then get yourself an ice cream treat, it's a no brainer haha!

Wicked super find and one more scoop out of my Ice Cream Bucket List. Oh, please don't miss understand, I will be a regular. Visiting the in-laws is a new convenient excuse! The Flava Board is loaded with irresistible deliciousness. Take your time deciding, but only if I'm not waiting impatiently behind you. The rest of the farm, soaked in a richness of history and proud spirit. The grounds, in terms of the country farm absolutely beautiful. Nestled on a gentle hillside and winding road. As you enjoy your cone, cup, or pint wander a bit, take in the tranquility with each lick or spoon.

Homemade all natural ice cream from cows on the property. Drove up to Tulmeadow Farm today for a scoop of seasonal Pumpkin topped by a scoop of Mexican Dark Chocolate. The farm store starts selling cones/shakes/sundaes etc. at 3PM. This is creamy, wholesome ice cream at its finest. The setting is literally out of a movie set. My highest recommendation.

Tulmeadow Farm ice cream has been on my mind recently because it was one of the Hartford Courant 10 Best CT Ice Cream Places in an article from this Summer. I've been to the Tulmeadow Farm Window in West Simsbury before, but if you live in the Rocky Hill, Wethersfield or Newington area, you can buy pre-packaged Tulmeadow ice cream containers at nearby Hayes Farm Market. I think I've seen Tulmeadow ice cream at other places as well, but I don't remember where. If you do go to the Farm, you really are right there in farm territory, which can have its charm. I was picking up CT Farm Fresh eggs at Hayes Farm the other day and spied Tulmeadow ice cream in a cooler. Among other flavors, they had Mint Oreo (one of my son's favorite ice cream flavors) and Chocolate Malt with Malt Balls (my wife likes chocolate-based flavors). The chocolate malt base is rich and decadent. I don't often eat malt ice cream, but it added a nice twist to the flavor. The mint ice cream base was good too, but I like it a bit mintier. My one minor complaint, is that I would have preferred larger chunks of the Oreos and Malt Balls. Four Stars

Back again and right before closing when the line is super long. Solid homemade ice cream with a big variety of flavors. Regular is a decent size and you can get two flavors in there. Got coconut chocolate chip and raspberry chocolate chip. Lots of chips to chew tonight. A great dessert to cap off a a warm summer night.

Still, the very best ice cream in the Valley. The farm store is open during the Age of Coronavirus, so you can pick up some fruits and vegetables. Actually you can't pick them up, just tell the workers what you want and they'll package it up for you. As soon as you walk in, you are blocked off by tables. They sell pints and quarts of their famous ice cream in freezer cases up front. And you will laugh at the signs they have by the side of the road proclaiming "ICE CREAM IS AN ESSENTIAL SERVICE"

Farm stand with a window for take out ice cream scoops + shaved ice. There is no seating around, and it smells a like like manure, but the ice cream makes this place worth it. 7/10

Deliciously creamy ice cream with wonderful flavors! I had something with black raspberry and chocolate and it was so good. I was also with friends who are lactose intolerance and vegan and they LOVED the plant based milk flavors. They said it was by far some of the best non-dairy ice cream they ever had and we all even got a pint to take home after. This was the perfect treat on a sunny day after doing a 5K run!

I read reviews and gathered that it was a great place to visit, especially during the autumn time. The parking lot was spacious right off the busy road. They offer hayrides and there was a pumpkin patch; you can pick your own in the field or in the store. There was a garden center and farm store. The farm store had jams, jellies, apples, gourds, cookies, veggies, pumpkins, mums, hot sauces, etc. They had wheelbarrows for you to use, if you're planning to buy a few big pumpkins. They also had an apple fritter/donut/cider stand. I purchased half a dozen of apple fritters for $8; you can add extra cinnamon sugar. Those apple fritters looked like donut holes but tasted like apple donuts, it was very splendid! Overall, a great spot to stop by if you're into the small town farm vibes. First visit, I got there around 4:40 and they were closing at 5; it was a short trip because I just wanted to get some eggs. The employee said they were closing soon and so was the petting zoo when I first walked in; I mentioned I was going to be quick and just wanted to get some eggs. I didn't know they had a petting zoo so I made a plan to go back again another time. The store was your typical farm stand, they had eggs, honey, cookies, apparel, and various of other knick knacks. They were having a sale, buy one dozens eggs ($7) and get one dozen free. The chickens were laying too many eggs and they wanted to get rid of as many as possible. The second time, I got in earlier in the day and purchased petting zoo tickets; $8 per person over 2 years old/under 80 years old and for an additional $2, you can purchase feed. I highly recommend getting the feed, the animals loved it. The petting zoo was bigger than I thought. There's even a playground with benches and picnic tables. The place seemed clean and the animals seem well taken care of. We saw pigs, llamas (my favorite), sheep, goats, alpacas, peacocks, cows, ponies (another favorite), donkeys, bunnies, chickens, and a black cat.Inside the shop, there were baby chicks, birds, and guinea pigs. There were signs explaining what type of animals, facts, and their story/names throughout. They also offer pony and tractor rides for an additional fee. There's a huge pavilion with picnic tables; you can bring your own food in. Also, there is an Airbnb onsite and people book their weddings there. There are many events hosted there as well; children programs and summer camps are popular ones. My kids and I had a blast petting and feeding the animals. I highly recommend!
