They have plenty more flavors available at their original location. At the Alley Scoop they have some really fun original flavors, such as Maple Bacon and Lavender Honey. I got the Strawberry and the Brownie Dough. The one scoop in a cup is a very generous portion. This was very chocolatey, with brownie pieces and white chocolate pieces. So tasty, even though chocolate isn't my first pick. The strawberry was your classic, sweet strawberry. I would love to return next month to see what seasonal flavors they would have.

There were about half a dozen benches and tables in the alley, and a like number on the sidewalk on Broad Street. They had fifteen ice cream flavors available, plus two sorbets, two vegan flavors, and a Banana Sugar Free choice. Floats, shakes, coffee blends, sundaes, a cookie sandwich, and a waffle concoction round out their product line. We each had a waffle cone - Butter Crunch (almond candy and butterscotch ice cream) and Caramel Pretzel (Vanilla ice cream with caramel ribbons and sweet and salty chocolate covered pretzel bits). The Caramel Pretzel was mine and it was really good, with a smooth and creamy vanilla base and plenty of those yummy chocolate pretzel bits and pieces. Their ice cream is homemade by the good folks at the Gran-Val Scoop in Granville, MA. Our single scoops on a sugar cone were $5 each.

It's in the Old Wethersfield part of time, and if you haven't been there, its definitely a sweet place to park your car, go for a stroll, and check out the shops on (you guessed it,) Main Street. Main Street Creamery is a blue building with a few indoor tables and outdoor seating. We saw big trays of cookies, brownies and macarons on their counters, but of course the real star of a place with "Creamery" in their name is their ice cream, and they sure knock ice cream out of the park. Hard ice cream, frozen yogurts, sorbet, sherbet, Milk Shakes, Malts, Ice Cream Floats, Razzles, and Sherbet Coolers are on the menu. Want to bling out your ice cream with some extras? How about over 20 toppings to pile onto your dish? If you are from eastern CT you know that Mountain Dairy has legendary chocolate milk and high quality products that go back generations. The creamery is situated on Browns Rd overlooking one of the most beautiful rolling hills in town. They also have a pup cup for the dogs! You can look into the ice cream making room through a big window. Definitely give Mountain Dairy Creamery a visit.
