    Sweet Frog

The kids love anything ice cream and frozen yogurt- and sweet frog is no exception. Nothing beats the feel of eating something cold on a hot summer day. I would say the selection of flavors here is okay. It's can be hit or miss. This past trip the non-dairy stations were either out or not working, so be aware of that. The kids highly enjoy the feeling of being an adult and serving themselves and mix and matching flavors and being control of the amount of toppings. You don't get that at every place. With that also can come the shock when your son's bowl of frozen yogurt costs over $12.

Because of pandemic, now self service is not an option. You pick a cup size, choose 2 flavors and a set of toppings. I went for a small with pistachio and peanut butter flavors. Nutella is my favorite flavor, but it was not there. For topping, I went with Resee's, walnuts and fudge. Everything was good and efficient.

So after bringing my son and daughter here and spending $35+ on sole frozen yogurt.... My daughter left three napkins on the table. Normally we clean up after ourselves but this time I was in a rush and walking out and didn't notice, my 12 year old left some napkins behind. The older lady (blond hair / glasses) working behind the counter decided she should yell at us as we were walking out and tell us to go back and grab the napkins. I went back and picked them up for her, but I will definitely not be coming back. I have been in the restaurant business for years and would always tell my customers that I saw cleaning up.. "leave it leave it, we got this. Come back and see us again." This lady yelled and looked at us appalled at us for spending 35.00 and then leaving a couple napkins on the table. Probably hates her job and was just looking to get out for the night... and we were in her way and whatever closing duties (like cleaning up) she had to preform. Good job, you lost a home schooling family with 8 kids that used to love your place. #done

Never had peanut butter Frozen Yogurt before. It was absolutely delicious. Tons of topping options. The kids love it. Good location, good amount of seating area and clean location.

My daughter loves to go to Sweet Frog to make her own special treat. She loves the control over making her own special treat. My daughter picks this place so that she can put on all the toppings and then we can sit together and enjoy a frozen yogurt together. There are more flavors and toppings that you can choose so multiple visits a must.

I've never tried frozen yogurt and decided to give it a try. Picked up a swirl of Oreo froyo with brownie topping. So when you walk in, you pick up one of the cups and head over to the ice cream dispensers. They're neatly labeled so you know what's what. Just look up. After you get all the ice cream that you could ever imagine, head over to the topping station and add whatever your heart desires. Then go to the cashier and they will weigh your cup. You pay per pound. To be honest, I didn't see what's so special about it. It kinda tasted like regular soft serve ice cream. Was disappointed. I still like ice cream so still giving it a 3 star.

I'll admit that all of these frozen yogurt places generally tend to run together for me, but I can certainly point out some things that I appreciate about this Sweet Frog location that are enough to make this one of my favorites. We got here at about 9pm (they close at 10 on Tuesdays) and there were a few small groups of teens hanging out in the comfy booths and chairs they have. I like the idea of kids choosing to hang out at a frozen yogurt place- I suppose it's today's version of the malt shop. And for anyone who would let the presence of teens be a deterrent- don't. There was no reason to. Sweet Frog has a selection of various frozen yogurts and sorbets to choose from, and in the middle of every two flavors is a lever that mixes the two together (so if you have like frozen yogurt and cheesecake frozen yogurt, the middle lever makes key lime pie). There are two cup sizes- big and bigger (which is nice for fitting toppings). Each frozen yogurt has the nutrition facts and dietary info next to it, which is nice if you're counting calories or have any allergies or food sensitivities. I usually go the chocolate/peanut butter/cookie route, but tonight I got half coconut yogurt and half raspberry pomegranate sorbet (non-dairy on the latter), and topped it with strawberries, blackberries, and coconut flakes. SO good! My friend got maybe five different kinds of frozen yogurt, which I know for sure included mint, mango, and classic tart......topped with kiwis, Oreos, wafer cone, and an array of other interesting choices......he ate it all and seemed to like it, so I'll give him that! You pay by weight, I believe I paid $4.05 for 7.4 ounces. They have a loyalty card where you can earn a free small frozen yogurt for every ten you buy. They also have cool way to raise money for a good cause. They have a program that allows you to fill out an application requesting that 10% of the sales on a given day go to a specific charity. They'll advertise with signs and social media, they'll ask the same of you and that you get your friends and family to visit that day as well. It's cool that they have this system of getting involved with charity and staying routed in the community. So, yes. I know these frozen yogurt places are all very popular right now, but Sweet Frog is definitely a favorite of mine. Very clean, nice hangout spot, good variety of frozen yogurt flavors and various toppings, reasonably priced, loyalty program, and interested in contributing to giving back- can't go wrong here!

Best Ice Cream Shop in the area, still needs work…read more This place has popped up on my radar as a roll place to give a try. So after a dinner we came to this place to give them a try. The place is pretty sparse on decoration, opting for paint splatters around the entire location. Which is fine, it's an ice cream shop so it needs to be fun. There was a staff of about 3-4 people manning the front, so plenty of people to help us along. Menu was on the wall facing away from the front desk area, which is weird. But I took a look, ordered a cookie monster, and waited for the rolls. Another little bit of weirdness. the anti-griddles were by the register, but hidden behind the toppings. You really couldn't watch the person go to town to make your roll. Part of the fun is being able to watch your ordering person go through and make the ice cream right in front of you. A missed opportunity with all the toppings and stuff blocking the view. Lastly, and this is the weirdest decision out of all of them, they used a generic soft serve base for the roll. If it wasn't soft serve base, they used some pre-sugared heavy whipping cream. It probably made the workers job easier to make the rolls, but it kind of lead to this overly sugary ice cream with a clumpy, waxy mouthfeel. As a man who likes his sweets, it was almost too much sugar to deal with. The price is okay, about average for this style of ice cream. The lack of "show", the sugary thick base, and the small cups that don't get filled all the way with rolled ice cream makes this feel not as great of a purchase. These problems are all solvable fairly easily. Add a menu to behind the register, get more areas to stash the candies and mix-ins. Open the windows to the griddle and invite patrons to watch their ice cream come to life, and switch out the soft serve base for either some straight up whole milk or a milk and cream mix. This may up the complexity of making said rolled ice cream, but it'll be better received and will be a fresher product than shelf-stable mixes. If you haven't tried a roll before, or you really want ice cream, this place is worth a try. There are better ice cream places if you travel, and I have had pretty good rolls at other locations. It works for where it is

I will say that in comparison to other places I've been, the serving size here is smaller, but the price is higher. I'll be back because my kids enjoyed the experience, though I may skip to save me a tenner.
