I got a waffle cone and escaped.. my wallet $12 lighter. The ice cream was soft (which I expected) but on a lukewarm evening, my ice cream quickly melted onto my lap and hands and just everywhere. I think practically speaking, that experience could be improved. Honestly despite the fact it's photograph-able and probably good-looking on social media, I don't think I would come here or EVER get an ice cream in a waffle cone ever again. I say that... but with the following two exceptions: 1. Either it would need to be much smaller or 2. Experience needs to somehow allow somebody to eat it without getting a brain freeze and without it melting everywhere. Note: I don't have photos of the actual ice cream because my hands were occupied with the sticky mess detailed above. Ambiance was nice and staff was pleasant enough. I also do understand West Hartford is trendy but I thought it was overpriced. That's my personal taste and I'm not taking off any stars for this specific point.

Milkcraft in West Hartford is my new after-party spot -- and honestly, I can't decide half the time if I'm walking in for ice cream or a cocktail. Saturday night? The music's on point, the place is hopping, and the energy feels like someone snuck a little downtown NYC into Blue Back Square. Let's talk about the S'mores Campfire -- literal toasted marshmallow on top of ice cream. Dangerous. Add a few glasses of wine at Treva beforehand, and suddenly I'm making questionable life choices like, "Sure, a liquid-nitrogen cone at 10 p.m. is absolutely necessary." The best part? After soaking in the buzz, it's just a short walk back to my new place. And every time I do it, I realize maybe -- just maybe -- I was a little dramatic about leaving NYC. Turns out, West Hartford knows how to keep the party going... just with better parking and friendlier faces. Bottom line: Milkcraft is giving me serious "dessert lounge" vibes, and I'm not mad about it. In fact, I'm hooked.

We decided to try Milkcraft. So glad we did. It smells amazing from the minute you walk in. We each got a cone not knowing they were gigantic. Challenge accepted. I killed mine and my Daughter almost did. The ice cream in the bubble cone is phenomenal. Highly recommended.

Good ice cream for the 'gram I am a fan when it comes to milk crafts concept. I enjoy the waffle ala mode known as the Bubblecone. I like their interesting ice cream flavors and anything that uses liquid nitrogen is naturally cool by nature. It's good, inventive ice cream. Tasty but not too pretentious. Pricy, but not extensively so. There's not a lot of dessert locations on that strip, and this is one of the best dessert spots in that area. Worth a trek and a try if you can.

I love the flavor options at Milkcraft -- they're creative and even feel somewhat healthy (aside from the sugar, of course). It was easy to find street parking late at night, which was a nice surprise. I'm really glad they stay open so late! The staff were super friendly and generous with samples, which definitely led to a bigger purchase than I planned -- but totally worth it.

This place has good ambience. I love the items on the wall, especially the giant mirror. That's really cool. You can take a picture of yourself with your ice cream. The staff were super friendly. I ordered a Vietnamese coffee ice cream in a bubble cone. I have to say it was absolutely delicious. I'm so glad I chose that flavor. I will definitely be back to try other flavors when I'm in the area.

Came here for the first time. Got the red velvet ice cream and churro cone. Red velvet tasted like a faint vanilla, and the churro didn't have that crispness as expected. Pricey for the lack of flavor received in everything.

This place is really fun and hip. The ice cream is really really good. They have a lot of choices and combinations to choose from great for the kids. We had an amazing time. Staff was really cool and helpful and knowledgeable about all the different ice cream. I had the salted Carmel pop corn ice cream Amazing!!

It was as if Milkcraft was robbed and the robbers we're trying to play it cool by running the shop. My wife and I ordered and we're on the same ticket yet somehow someone got their order after my wife got hers and before I got mine. When I inquired they had no reason or even an inkling of my in order, apologized and then eventually made my order. Look, the point and draw, gimmick if you will was the liquid nitrogen mixing with the ice cream. There was a none of that tonight and only scooping out of bins. I'd you are only bin scooping there are many ice cream shops I'd rather go to in the area with a superior product Workflow was so fragmented it was like a triangular wheel.

    Smores Campfire milkshake!

Service was great! They double checked before making additions and were quick! Not super full for 10 and the whip cream was tiny but shake is really good!

Such a great ambiance from the moment you walk in. Ice creams flavors will definitely leave you stuck. My girls were indecisive on which ones they wanted to try next. They all sounded so good! Service was super quick also. Definitely recommend especially if you're out & about with your kiddos.

Some of the creamiest ice cream ever with a nice crispy and chewy bubble cone. The blue cookie butter and vietnamese coffee are the best flavors! The service was nice with friendly staff. It's always crowded so ambiance isn't the best. But the wait is worth it!

Milkcraft has some of the most interesting flavors and combinations that I have seen from a ice cream shop. The ice cream is being made right in front of you and you can see the liquid nitrogen cover the table behind the counter as you walk in. The staff was super helpful, they offered us samples as well as their suggestion and personal favorites. I ordered a scoop of the strawberry sorbet, and as you can see in the photo, it was a little bit more than what I would call a scoop. I would suggest most people order the single scoop unless they are confident they can finish a larger portion. Overall great experience and I'd highly recommend!

The cones are made fresh in-house and smell divine. Beyond ice cream, there's a whole lineup of treats dipped in chocolate: pretzels, Oreos, marshmallows, you name it. Sweet tooth? Handled. Diet? Not. Service: Everyone was super friendly and patient, even with a line. You can tell they actually enjoy working there, which makes the whole experience feel even sweeter. Atmosphere: It's more of a grab-and-go setup, like just a candy store that sells ice cream not an ice cream shop, so there's no indoor seating but right outside there are plenty of benches in downtown West Hartford. The area is busy, walkable, and perfect for a side of people-watching. The quality is top-tier, the flavors are spot-on, and everything feels like a treat because it is. Worth every penny. 10/10 recommend for locals and visitors too.

A sweets place for social media…read more Came to this side of west Hartford because a new dumpling spot opened up and this place was right next to it. Because we were already on an adventure, might as well try one more place as well. Inside has all the decor of an influencer styled place. Fake grass on the wall, lots of bright popping colors and plenty of places to snag the selfie. The menu is laden with sweets of every shape and size. Everything with loud pictures and kinda pricy price tags for just sweets. Their milkshakes were mostly 20 dollars and were towers of candy, donuts, and decadence. We did a small smattering of their truffles and a couple of their other sweets. A Dubai chocolate square and a chocolate ganache layered brownie. The place is very concerned about outward appearances, but what about the flavor? That I can report is actually pretty good. The truffle is a brigadeiro truffle. It's a soft and kinda chewy truffle, like a nougat and mochi hybrid. They were very pretty and flavorful, but not what one would call a truffle in the traditional sense. The Dubai chocolate square was dusted in gold dust and has the expected pistachio crème and phyllo inside. The chocolate was creamy and wonderful in flavor and consistency. The issue was the size, the chocolate shell kinda shattered on the bite and led to a bit of a mess in the car. The brownie was good. The chocolate ganache was delicious and the brownie was a little overdone. But the ganache really helped salvage the dish. It's pricy, is very much a place you go to for pictures of you and your entourage living their best life. But the quality is there and below the glitz and glamour there's a solid sweets shop here. For some, the facade may be a detractor, but they got good sweets so they are worth a try.

Sno 'N Dough sells a slew of carnival or country fair foods, like sweet or savory fried dough, fried Oreos, Fried Cookie Dough, 22 flavors of Snoballs, cotton candy, churros, and popcorn. We chatted with Dylan, their super friendly counterperson who whipped us up an 8-oz banana Snoball ($2.99) and a Marinara Parmesan Fried Dough ($7.99). The banana Snoball was great -light and airy and fluffy as a cloud without the course hunks of ice you sometimes find in a traditional Snow Cone. The Marinara Fried Dough was terrific -we shared some for dinner (it re-heated beautifully) and the dough came out soft and just about perfect. The sauce and cheese were also excellent, and I have to say we really loved it. Dylan told me a funny story about a customer he served a week aqo, A woman was walking by his stand, and she stopped dead in her tracks, cried out "OMG you have Snoballs", and almost started weeping. Turns out she was a Louisiana native and hadn't seen them sold anywhere besides her home state. Needless to say she was thrilled. We were pretty happy with our visit too!
