    Morning Coffee

Icy Rolls is tucked away in the corner of a small plaza. They have a nicely shaded outdoor seating area you'll walk by as you enter. This is the second place I've gone to that serves Thai iced rolls and I am a big fan of the first one, Absolute Zero in Northampton, MA. It's tough to not compare this to Absolute Zero. They have a fast paced, excited staff that are engaging and really make a show out of the whole process. The vibe is infectious and represents Northampton well. Juxtaposed with the staff at Icy Rolls is a disappointment. They were polite but you could tell that neither of them wanted to be there. They moved slowly and it was really boring to see them prepare something that normally looks so cool. They have 12 pre-made menu items, but of course you can customize them if you wish. No seasonal menu like Absolute Zero. The flavor selection is pretty standard and unadventurous. I ordered the Morning Coffee flavor. It was pretty good but you can tell the chocolate sauce is the cheap stuff and not freshly made or high quality. I'm giving it 3 stars because the ice cream was good but the atmosphere was lack luster. It's a great place to bring your kids and try it out if you've never experienced Thai iced rolls. Lastly, the sign outside says "Stir-Fried Ice Cream". I don't know where they got this from because this ice cream is in no way fried.

I had the s'mores on and my boyfriend had the cookie brownie something lol

I went here for the first time with my boyfriend and another couple. Right off the bad I noticed that it was a fixed price, so it's not like tcby or other frozen yogurt places where it's weighed. I believe it was 6-8 dollars which to me isn't bad at all. You get to pick what flavor you want, then they do the little show where they roll it up for you. I think it's a fun experience and not expensive like most other ice cream places. At the end they put on the whipped cream and whatever usually comes with the flavor you asked for then you're allowed to pick up to 4 extra toppings! Mine was the s'mores which game with a big toasted marshmallow which was really delicious. My bf got the brownie one which he ate in less than a minute lol. The staff was super friends and we had a fun time. We will definitely be back in the summer time!

Cool concept but not the best ice cream. I was visiting from New York and the rolled ice cream craze hadn't reached our part of the state yet. I was interested to say the least so I stopped in one night for dessert. You get to pick your flavor, and watch the make it literally from scratch with these wicked cold plates that are like -30 degrees. You can also choose like five toppings which is more than enough. You get about six rolls of ice cream. It's literally just ice cream flattened out and rolled up. It's all an image thing. The service was alright. Just the taste of the ice cream wasn't the greatest. I got smores flavor.

They planted it this way so people can reach it when the fruits are ready to be picked, genius idea. They also grow peaches, plums, nectarines, blueberries, various vegetables, and Asian pears. We went in September for apple picking. The parking lot was spacious, a nice farm stand, a patio area, and a picnic area. This year, apple picking started on 8/31/2024 and ends in late October. You have to check in at the window to purchase a ticket; they give you a bag and ticket for a tractor ride to the apple orchard. The farm stand has donuts, ice cream, cider, slushie, and a cafe. The tractor ride was fun; you can buy a ticket just for the tractor ride alone for $5 or $18 for a bag and tractor ride. We waited about 30 minutes for the tractor; it was the last tractor ride of the day and it was a busy Saturday. We went late in the season so most of the apples were picked over. We were able to get a bag full though. The property was amazing and the view of the hills from the orchard was lovely. After, we sat at the picnic table area and which had fire pits too. They had toys for the kids and there was live music. We tried out their hard cider (4-pack $24) and it was good. Overall, it's a fun place to do a fall festivitiy.

Taking in all the sites is just bonus. It's so peaceful up here. The total including tip was $7.50, and this was a very good bargain Now that the good weather is here take a ride up to the backcountry through Simsbury Granby, and into Granville. I give it 3 stars because I think their milkshakes could so much better. they have the consistency of thin pancake batter, flavor of the chosen ice cream, but it's never COLD. always felt like I was drinking a glass of milk that was left out for half an hour. for the cost, I expected a damn near perfect one. i'll go for ice cream, but never again getting their milkshakes. you're better off buying a quart and making 4 smaller ones out of that, I really wish they were thicker and richer.

One of the best ice cream places around for its unique flavors and a good "new location"…read more I've been a fan of their Ice cream since their old spot in Granby. I always enjoy the blood orange chocolate chip and seeing what unique flavors are concocted (geranium, key lime cheesecake, pomegranate). It's pretty pricey for what you get (1 scoop, 1.5 scoops and onward) and my scoop today was rather small. They also sell pints for $8 which is a better deal. Samples are a must because of all the options. Disappointed that they don't make ice cream cakes anymore, especially because J Foster's just isn't as good. Located near the Coffee Spot, library and Fitzgeralds, it has parking around the back or on the street.

Place is on a road with lots of shopping options. Parked outside while the missus ordered dinner. Wait was going to be a little while, so I went inside to get an ice cream appetizer. They have lots of unique ice cream flavors, but opted for the boysenberry jasmine because it was the weirdest one that I thought she would enjoy. The ice cream was a little icy but the scoop was a good size and the boysenberry was not overly tart. It was like a nice light tea as an ice cream. Quite pleasant, The food was okay. I appreciate the crust on the grilled cheese, the dedication to using straight up American cheese, and the bread choice. They need. Mozzarella or provolone option so one can get those epic cheese pulls. Also they need to use a sharper cheese to increase that cheese flavor. The Asian tacos were very wet, chicken was not seasoned and the veggies were fresh but lacked seasoning. It was a fine taco, but no flavor. The veggie bahn mi, much more seasoning on the veggies here than the veggies in the taco. We took those veggies out of the bahn mi and subbed them into the Asian tacos to give it more flavor. That worked. The bread was this artisan roll with a crispy outside but soft inside. A better bahn mi than other places, but the bread needs to be more akin to a hoagie roll rather than an artisanal sandwich roll. As a food location, I put them on par with other ice cream shops that offer food. They usually don't do the food that great, but they excel at ice cream. They got lots of interesting ice cream flavors to try, and they are on par with pricing for the area. Come here for a sweet treat, probably ignore the food options, and enjoy!
