You'll find them at the end of the spiffy Noble Market and gas station complex on Day Hill Road. Frisbie has a walk-up ordering window with a large easy to read menu board, plenty of parking, outdoor seating, and of course cups, cones, sundaes and shakes. There were fifteen flavors available today, and we both ordered the same thing - a $6 single scoop of Bolton Banana Chip on a sugar cone. The ice cream was very good, a deep banana flavor, bits of pureed banana, and plenty of outstanding dark chocolate chips. We were surprised to see Frisbies had taken the helm of the former Maple Hill Ice Cream. The ice cream thick and full flavors as before. Great outdoor picnic & bench seating under shade trees. Games and plenty of open space for the youth to burn off a suga buzz and reduce the RPM's. Seating indoor is limited and I was curious if the confections are still produced behind the counter. Ice cream variety and flavors are great - but quantity so small for the price. A hot fudge sundae for $8 was two very small scoops, a 2 inch squirt of whipped cream, fudge at the bottom, and no cherries that day. My wife's Rum Raisin was delicious but equally diminished in size. read more

It was quiet and clean when we arrived around 3pm. The two girls behind the counter were helpful allowing us to sample a couple flavors. The ice cream is flavorful and creamy. The ice cream is shown to be homemade.the building used to be used for manufacturing but is no longer doing so. The outside is very old school office building looking but the inside is cute. We ate our ice cream outside at the picnic tables where the kids could be restless and run around. I highly recommend the raspberry cheesecake and peanut butter ice cream. They also serve 12 flavors on a frisbee which I would've ordered for fun if I had read the full menu. read more

Home in Connecticut for the weekend and stopped here today with my family after hiking up the Heublein tower. On such a hot and humid day, this quick pit stop was just the refreshing break that we needed. Between the five of us, we tried the salted caramel, cookies and cream, vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry. Every flavor was unique, but shared the same rich creamy flavor that you can only get from a dairy farm. Sweet, fresh, and ice cold, the ice cream was a huge hit Aside from the food, the outside seating was quite pleasant. A few large trees shielded the seating area and provided a comfortable region of shade to sit in and enjoy the ice cream. If you're near, definitely make the stop to try out their ice cream! Quality (besides sugar content) is on par with most standard parlors; I am guessing that even though they don't have fro yo, soft serve or lite flavors, butterfat content is not hefty. We drive by this little shop almost every weekend and keep forgetting to bring a cooler. They're only open right now on Saturdays from 9-1 but are looking to build a standalone shop and have expanded hours. The gentleman who owns the shop was able to give us a lot of information about the meats for sale (which farms they come from, what they're fed, etc.) which helped a lot in making my decision. The prices are a little high but you're getting good quality and don't need to trim the fat off of the meat since that's already been done for you. He also offers sauces, cheeses, honey, and many other things. I'm looking forward to their expansion. read more

Saturday afternoon, 2 pm. We are second on line. A couple in front of us is placing their order. The place is otherwise empty. We intend on ordering, for our group, 3 small ice cream cups, single flavors, one topping each. The person taking the order snaps at us for ordering a flavor they didn't have (mint chip), asks us to repeat our order several times for some reason, and takes our payment. It took more than 10 minutes for us to get our ice cream. I had to ask the cashier for a status update because they clearly had no interest giving us an update on their own. There were a few moments where we felt the place might have actually closed after taking our order because it was so oddly quiet (2 pm on a Saturday). Then, when we got our food, IT WAS NOT AS WE ORDERED. It was not worth the hassle of dealing with these people to fix it. So we left. As we were pulling out, I saw a person from another group, that came and placed an order after us, walking around, wondering where or when they were getting their food. Terrible experience. We apologized to our group for going out of our way to visit this once promising establishment, and agreed we would not go back. I realize times are tough, but no one is forcing this place to be open. There is no excuse for obnoxious, incompetent (or more likely utterly disinterested) treatment. We'll take our time, and our money, elsewhere. read more

First - I started with a little bit of a bias as this Bloomfield location ghosted my daughter for a summer job. Whoever the guy doing the hiring told her she had a job and for her to text him when she got home from college - which she did. Several times - never bothered responding to her. I realized that he must have over "hired" to ensure he had enough help - but at least have the decency to respond. She was disappointed....... On a drive home this afternoon - my husband and I wanted ice cream - and I thought - just let it go (not that it was a huge deal in the first place) and enjoy some ice cream where we can sit outside at nice picnic tables on a big lawn area (it is really nice).........well I was able to call my daughter at the job she got to say - be glad you didn't end up working there No pistachio - okay - next choice - No mint chocolate chip - next choice - no moose tracks. Some guy takes down the sign that says no pistachio to post no moose tracks - what about pistachio? Still No Well okay - another choice - salted caramel. The three employees there totally clueless and moved super slow like they didn't care Go sit outside - and discover.........they scooped us maple walnut. Good thing neither one of us is allergic I ate mine as I can tolerate that flavor. My husband hates walnut. We love coming here. Ice cream is great, but the location is what hits it home. It's in the countryside, on a beautiful property with open land. Ample space to enjoy your ice cream whether it's on the grass, picnic tables, or benches. Plenty of parking. This is a 10/10 for us. read more

Cute little shop! Exceptionally nice staff. Have some fun flavors like coconut almond chip, moose tracks, salted caramel pretzel, and ginger.
