Another example of why I love Yelp. I had a very early appointment in Glastonbury today -so early that I skipped breakfast at home so I could be in Glastonbury at 7:30 am. After my appointment, I searched Yelp for Glastonbury "coffee" and up popped Berkins Blend. It was the first time I ever heard of them and soon it was the first time I ever patronized them. Berkins was a little hard to find, being set back from Hebron Avenue in a little strip mall next to a karate school. So unless you know it's there, you'll really have to keep your eyes open. I was greeted like a long-lost relative, and that's always a positive sign for me. I like a place that doesn't take your patronage for granted and seems genuinely glad that you walked in. I ordered a medium coffee, and I guess the coffee is something special here- not drip made but more like an espresso. Whatever it was, I have to say it was tremendous- with a deep and rich flavor. I wanted one of their savory croissants, but there were none in stock when I visited around 8:45 this morning. I went with a regular croissant which was warmed up and tasted like it just popped out of a Pâtisserie somewhere. It paired very well with that delicious cup of coffee. This can easily be your office away from home. The tables resemble work stations with electrical outlets and even some monitors. And that coffee sure tasted better than what I get at any of the big boy chains.

Oatmilk latte

I stopped by here a couple of Tuesday's ago by myself for my morning coffee. I happened to be staying in Glastonbury for a few days and whenever I consulted Yelp about a nearby coffee place, Berkins Blend Cafe came up. So I got in the car and headed on over. Berkins Blend is located in a strip mall and whenever I arrived at just before 8 AM everything was fairly peaceful. Upon entering the restaurant I saw a couple of cops having their breakfast sitting at a table to my left, a big table down the middle and then some two tops with TV's off to the right. In the back was the place where you could buy some pastries and order your coffee. Since I wasn't staying I quickly headed to the back to place my order and chose a large latte with oat milk. The oat milk ended being a bit pricey to add at $1.29 but I didn't really feel like whole milk on this morning. From the time that I walked into the store until leaving took maybe 5 minutes. After my coffee had a bit of time to cool down, I tried it and thought it was pretty good. The oatmilk was a good addition on my part as it had a nice oat flavor to it and allowed the good coffee to come through. The bottom line for me is that I would come back here again in the future. Berkins Blend seemed like a nice and peaceful place which has good coffee.

Visited today during lunch for a little caffeine pick me up. This place was cozy and quiet. Definitely a place you could have an intimate conversation with or do some work. We got lattes and we're satisfied! Variety of flavors you can add. They had a few pastries and some dee's gluten free goodies. Place was clean and all covid policies were followed

The cafe is not too decked up... very simple and clean... they have free Wi-Fi and plugins for your device. Try the nitro .... it's cold brewed coffee infused with nitrogen.... when poured has a foam top almost like a beer version of coffee.... has a smooth taste,no need of add-ins. The cappuccino was good too..I wanted to try some baked goods but may be next time, I hear its form first and last bakery in Hartford... they also serve soup..hmmm interesting

The coffee shop is tucked into a very small shopping plaza. I found the spot on Yelp and it was close to my house and Black owned so I had to try it out. I was looking for a spot to read outdoors and this fit the bill. When I walked in, I was taken aback by house cute and cozy the spot was. They have a location that feels incredibly spacious while setting up cozy books to read, eat, or visit with a friend. I grabbed a nitro brew but also noticed they have both traditional and gluten free options for guests. Coffee was delish, service was friendly and kind. The customers were diverse and chill. I will definitely be back.

Such a great space

Interesting concept! This cafe only serves espresso-based coffee, no drip. The owner obviously cares so much about coffee flavor, gets just one blend of beans from Oregon, and works hard to make sure everything is delicious. They also have a nitro cold brew I will have to come back and try! The americano I ordered was very good. The cafe is set up specifically to cater to people coming in to work or do schoolwork. Most of the tables have power outlets, and some of them even have computers that you can use to browse the web if you didn't bring your own! Seems like a great spot to get some work done, and I'll plan to be back!

Excellent coffee and good space to work as a telecommuter. Not noisy, even with many conversations going on.

My first thought was, " another breakfast/coffee shop in Glastonbury, we need that why?" And so, I took far too long to drop in. This place is everything a 21st century coffee shop should be. Let me start with the moment you walk in. Clean, bright, and just the right amount of quiet. Well laid out and furnished with comfortable chairs and workspaces. There is even a small conference sized table in the center. A telecommuter's dream. But what really stand out is the aroma. Coffee. Fresh ground beans and freshly brewing coffee. Nirvana. The coffee, after all, that is what I came for. It is spectacular. Mind you, I am not a "I will take an iced, half-caffeinated, grande, 1 pump toffee nut, 1 pump caramel, 1/2 pump hazelnut, breve (not sure what the "%" is for though), americano with less water and more ice, put in a venti cup" kind of guy. I like coffee. Old fashioned caffeine containing coffee. Sometimes cappuccino. Yeah, I am a heretic. So, I have yet to sample the obviously well studied barrista skills of the man behind the counter. But I will say, they do coffee right. Fresh, delicious coffee. I love it. So, muffins. Three people in my party....one loved, loved, loved the chocolate muffin. The other two thought great, but not the best they ever had. Best they had is 80 miles away so this becomes my default go to for muffins place! 5 stars may seem generous but this is a coffee shop. And the do coffee great. They do service great. They have created comfortable surroundings if you plan to stay a while and don't rush you out. Prices are in line with other places. In short, I like it. Now, if I could just get them to stay open a half hour later to accommodate my afternoon coffee run.....

A comfy seat, a latte, and a good book. Heaven!

I had a great latte here. Their coffee is a proprietary blend from Portland Oregon. It's both nutty and very smooth. I enjoyed it greatly. Nice work space. Free wifi. The stuffed arm chairs are not deep enough or big enough to curl up in with a good book or a good iPhone app. May I suggest more squishy deeper chairs? The Ber of Berkins is the baristo and the Kins is the friendly partner who explained the coffee beans and where they get their bakery goods to me. Spoiler alert: First and Last Bakery in Hartford.

I can't believe some of the reviews. The coffee is roasted in house, the syrups are from scratch. If they could fit a cow in their (way too small) parking lot they'd probably have fresh milk and cream, too! Went in yesterday for a work meeting and the service was even better than usual. The vibe and atmosphere here is great for meetings, business or casual. My associate and I split a Siphon Pot to start. If you have the time, this is the very best way to enjoy your coffee. It really pulls the flavor out of the beans, on par with a pour over or aeropress, but it's also perfect for sharing. Afterwards, we both got Cortados, which were excellent, and I brought ice coffee back to the office for the man we left behind to run things. He sighed happily after sipping it, commenting that he could tell it was from J René. Why not 5 stars? The food is ok but I'm not a big fan of the pastries I've tried here. They're "fine". Normally my wife will get one and I'll try a bite or two. She's really into croissants and won't get them from here, saying they're a waste of money. The prices can feel a little steep here, especially compared to other good, local spots. Lastly, the parking lot is so tiny and during busy times of day the road can get crowded as well.

I was very impressed by this Internet cafe. There are many different number of blocks where you can…read moresit and my friends and I found a block that had 4 seats which was perfect for us. On the weekend it is $3/hr and $25 for a day pass which is feel is very reasonable. There also snacks/meals that you can buy. The monitors are large, headsets are adjustable, and they even have steelseries mice/mousepads. The chairs were also very comfortable surprisingly, very similar to a dxracer if you ever ever sat in one. The games available are fortnite, pubg, apex, l4d2, 1.6, css, csgo, league, Starcraft, and that is just to name a few. There is quite a large game library to your disposal. You also have access to use discord, Skype, kaokao talk, etc. If you don't have a steam account or don't want to use your personal one they will log you into a guest account, which I found super accommodating. My friends and I decided to play l4d2. The game ran super smooth. No lag or stuttering, felt like I was playing on my own computer. However, if you are using one of the guest steam accounts, a number of them have mods installed on them so characters of monsters may not appear as the originals. One of my friends, the zombies were anime girls while my other friend, all mobs were from Minecraft which made hit boxes more confusing. The computer has a timer in the bottom left corner showing your start/end time. Once you hit 10 minutes remaining then the computer vocalizes how many minutes you have left every minute. I would love to come back here again. There's something different from playing online than when you are actually physically sitting next to your friends as you play.
