Stumbled upon this cute bake shop in west Hartford. Enjoyed an iced coffee and some sweet treats. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Restaurant was clean. Prices were fair

I was looking at IG. I came across these delicious sandwiches. They do breakfast and catering. I walked into the establishment. It was so cozy. They had couches, and tables and their coffee's were good. They have several different homemade breads. I viewed all 179 pics. I came across a "Southwestern Turkey Sandwich". The friendly cashier told me it was her favorite sandwich. Of course, I took a pick of the surroundings. When you are in CT. Make sure you visit" Hartford Baking Co. for your food. Yelpers let's continue to eat our way through the world.

Pretty basic bagel sandwiches at an above average price. I love that there is a gluten free option though and it was very good. We placed an order for delivery so we did not get to experience the dining area or staff. One bagel in our order was wrong - it looks like they had to manually transfer the order from Uber Eats to their system and it was transferred over incorrectly (because the receipt taped to the bag with our name had the wrong order on the receipt).

I made a special trip to come to Hartford Baking Company. I have to catch the Port Jeff ferry at a certain time but to me breakfast is an essential part of my day? Now add outrageous coffee? Hartford Baking Company, you make my heart sing! Baked goods? I'm all in for a freshly made scone, so so good. The bakery itself is very large, lots of tables for sitting with a hot cuppa coffee and your freshly baked items.

While in Glastonbury, my friend and I stopped by The Hartford Baking Company. I've never been impressed by their coffee, so I got a Blood Orange iced tea. My friend got a hot chocolate. I've been eyeing their Junk Bar every time I've gone inside. To feel less guilty about it, we got one to share. It is so very clean, spacious and bright inside. I asked for a plate when we got our Junk Bar Brownie. They told me they don't have plates. This is very strange. Don't people dine inside, they have tables for sitting, how do they not offer plates to eat off of? I knew the Junk Bar would create a huge junky mess inside of their very clean space. We ate it of a piece of paper, and it made a mess. Rant aside. This is absolutely delicious. This is a chocolate brownie, with marshmallows, Oreos, pretzels and coconut. All of it together, is so good, sweet and a bit of a salty crunch. My friend really enjoyed her hot chocolate. My Blood Orange iced tea wasn't very flavorful at all. I asked to add some honey, that was ok. They make delicious sandwiches and great bread, which I've had previously.

This is a really cute and calming coffee shop to visit if you ever need a place to relax or have a chat with a friend. The location they have in West Hartford is much larger and probably better for studying and working, while their location in Glastonbury is better for just hanging out. I ordered a plain black coffee with almond milk and was surprised with how well it tasted. Out of all the coffee shops I have tried in town, Hartford Baking Co. is definitely at the top of my list after my last visit. I also tried their breakfast sandwich and peach crostata which were also as delightful. I definitely recommend giving this place a try and plan on returning for my next coffee run!

This is such a cute little coffee shop with amazing offerings for food! I had a delicious cappuccino and one of the best gluten-free avocado toasts I have ever had! The smoked salmon was beautifully seasoned with salt and sesame seeds, and the avocado was perfect! The music inside was a little bit loud, but the tables were perfectly spaced apart, I felt like I had privacy, and they have a very big parking lot for a little cafe! They are also open later than most local coffee shops and its a perfect place for an afternoon study session!

Went to this place on a whim, half-exhausted from the gym and looking for a coffee in the morning. Still a bunch of places I have yet to try, and this one's been on my radar for a few days. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I stammered in and asked for the best thing they had. They made mention their chocolate croissants were fresh made and still warm, and their breakfast sandwiches were really good. opted for the sausage sandwich, got a cold brew and a brown butter chocolate chip cookie with one of those fresh croissants. Some items didn't survive the trek home, hence the lack of pictures. But everything was very good! The Chocolate croissant was the best of the lot. still slightly warm, flaky and crispy and just sweet enough. Very tasty, and glad I opted for it, even if it ruined my gym gains. The coffee was cold brew using Giv beans, which a lot of the higher-up places use. Very solid coffee, no bitter notes but earthy and hints of chocolate. Felt a little bad adding milk to it, was expecting the coffee to be mediocre as best The sandwich was good, but not amazing. the cheese didn't have much in the way of flavor, and the fresh-ground sausage was light on seasoning. The roll was very good, soft and toasted in real butter. It kind of overshadowed the other ingredients though. The brown butter cookie was also good but kind of one-note, slightly mealy and was missing salt. Was very sweet and needed other flavors to help curb the sugar flavor of the cookie. Price was okay, coffee was 4 bucks for a very solid cold brew. sandwich was 5.50 so a decent price. They really have mastered the bread, and it shows in their quality. The rest, well it needs a little more flavor. it's leaps and bounds better than any large-chain breakfast places I know of. So if you're in the area, give them a go!

This is a nice place to sit down, drink coffee and work. The downstairs can get packed and busy but upstairs is pretty spacious with lots of seating. I sat by the window with a nice view and enjoyed my cappuccino and sandwich. Go here is you have some down time and want to catch up on stuff or need a grab and go bite to eat and coffee.

I hadn't yet been to this HBC location until the other day when I went to get my decadent dark hot chocolate and I absolutely love it! I didn't realize how big this location was until I pulled up, and it's really nice inside. The staff who took my order were beyond nice and really funny, and it was a really enjoyable ordering experience. And now, about the reason I was there. This month they're featuring a different hit chocolate weekly and this last week was a dark hit chocolate with either a marshmallow or whipped cream. I'm extra, so I got both, and wow was it beyond delish. I am going to have to come back weekly now to try the others as well, because it was that good!

Absolutely delish!!! Happened upon this gem when our original stopped was overbooked. And so glad it was! The egg sandwich with avocado on a brioche bun is heaven sent. Iced coffee was perfect. Customer service could not be topped and location was easy-to find. Think we found our new favorite breakfast spot

They have some cute holiday decor, and on each table they have a bottle of wine. The waitress who came to serve me appeared very limited in English. I told her I'd like a slice of the Bread Pudding, and I pointed to it in the menu. She told me "no" as she pointed back to it using her pen. Ok. That's disappointing. I noticed they make fresh juice from strawberries, mango and other fruits. I told her I'd like the strawberry juice. Again she pointed to it and said "no". Why did I come here, everything is "no"? I told her I'll have the mango juice. She finally said "ok". She asked me if I want my juice with aqua or with leche. I told her aqua. Wouldn't it be a smoothie if it was with milk? I also wondered what kind of response I'd get if I asked for the flan. "No" is the answer to that! Shortly after, I heard the blender running. My juice was delivered to me. It came in a large beer mug, and was filled to the brim. This was so tasty and truly mango! I finished my juice and waited forever for the bill. It wasn't that busy there were two other patrons. I asked for the bill, both of the waitresses passed by me at least ten times before I finally got the bill. While the juice was very tasty, they had nothing else that I was interested in, while all of these things are in the menu. The checkout process was very slow. I will not be stopping by Toby's again.

I was expecting more of a take out vibe, but that was not the case. I ordered the butifarra sandwich (I think they only have sandwiches on the weekend? Not sure). I honestly wasn't sure what I was ordering, but when I got it I believe it was similar to shaved pork loin. I honestly wish I got asada for meat because I am not the biggest pork fan, but everything else on the sandwich made it come together! They gave me a green sauce that she told me to put on the sandwich and she wasn't wrong!! It was DELICIOUS, I wish i had 5 more cups of it! The Portuguese roll was also so soft and fresh. It was great. The staff was all very friendly! There was an older man there who greeted me and waved me over once my food was done (didn't take longer than 10 minutes from ordering to me going out the door). Was it Toby?! Maybe! I can't wait to come back and try the Lomo and Ceviche!

It was tender, juicy, flavorful grilled chicken on fresh bread with some absolutely kicking honey mustard. I will 100% go back to this place because The sandwich was near perfection. That being said, the service was seriously subpar. By that I mean, both slow and particularly unwelcoming. In addition, I feel the need to mention that we chose to stay there to eat, and both the tables and the salt and pepper shakers were absolutely filthy. So, despite the fact that it wasn't a perfect experience... their menu is really extensive and the food is delicious, so I'm sure we'll visit again sometime! Maybe we will order ahead and get our food to go!

Happy with them! The italiano was good I just wasn't crazy about the bread and I'd add spicy brown mustard and extra cheese next time. The turkey ham bacon grinder was good just needed pickles (which I added at home) and the chicken bacon wrap was perfect. Service was a young lady who was very nice in store. Also! They had blue raspberry popsicles!! I've been looking for these and craving them for almost two years now, I would come back for those alone but also the sandwiches.
