This place looked really cute so I decided to check it out. There isn't the best parking in the area but it was worth the trip. The outside and inside areas had a great vibe. The marketplace had a lot of interesting things you could buy. I went for coffee and I got an iced mocha latte. The prices were reasonable compared to other cafes. The service was great and my coffee was ready super fast even though it was very busy inside. I would definitely go back to try out their food as well.

This is such a cute market. They have a sandwich and bakery counter, a coffee counter, and a section full of seed packets. We had a delicious lunch down the road at The Charles so we weren't hungry but we bought their huge chocolate chip cookies and their ginger cookies. They were both delicious! There is a lot of seating inside in multiple rooms and they have nice outdoor tables too.
Amazing quaint antique feel. Little farm market cafe combo straight out of the 18th century. Welcoming employees, great set up! The building is beautiful, soo much unique seating indoors and outside! Impeccable attention to detail... *** FOOD Delicious, hand made biscuits, baked goods, breads. Hummus toast, Avocado Toast, Breakfast Biscuit, all solid options. Great coffee. Wonderful presentation and small time vibes, I feel like I just walked out of an episode of the Gilmore Girls.
Very cute place. We tried lunch here. We ordered the brisket & ham/fig sandwich. Quality meat & good portion. I just thought it would be better. Both sandwiches were a little dry and maybe heating them up would elevate them a little? The ambiance is absolutely beautiful, though. We ate in the greenhouse area and I could easily see myself coming back and hanging out here with a coffee. There are tons of plugs and ample seating. I would come again and try breakfast and/or coffee and a pastry.
The only thing keeping my rating from being a 5, was the wait. Beyond the wait the few people handing out orders seeing myself and my niece being the last two standing at the pickup counter. Not one person said Ive noticed a few sets of people have gone through and you're still here. Let me check on your order for you? Instead when we were 2nd to last I had to go up to the counter and say - I know you're busy but can you check on our order? The food was delicious! The cold cuts so fresh. The bread soft on the inside and just the right amount of crunch on the outside. They also served homemade pickles with our sandwiches. I love pickles I just prefer garlic pickles. Besides our lunch they had a large selection of seeds for planting flowers, and vegetables to search through and a cute market - so its not all about eating!
We stopped into Heirloom Market on a weekday morning for a late breakfast/morning snack. The market has speciality food items and produce. They have a very large space of tables for eating or chatting and relaxing. The service is super friendly. They have pastries as well as other food items made to order. We ordered some gluten free pastries and a (non gf) biscuit, egg, and cheese, along with a coffee. The pastries were good. The biscuit for the biscuit, egg, and cheese, was really enjoyed. A great place to stop into in Historic Wethersfield, and see the scarecrows in October!
Good coffee and cookies, not as great hot foods Came here for a sweet treat while up and about. This place came up as a popular spot, so we made the trek for some drinks and snacks. The place is in a well kept historical district, a little fancier than your standard locations, but in a New England fashion. The barn is a combo of old and new with heavy leanings on the old. It inside is expansive but clean. Worn but not dilapidated. The back of the house had the coffee and bakery. we got a bahn mi, some cookies, and a latte. Food came out after a bit of a delay, but not too long of a wait. The cookies were good. The peanut butter miso was the star of the show, but the snickerdoodle was a solid contender. The chocolate chip was a little too crisp and I didn't like the chocolate choice. But still not a bad cookie. Coffee was giv beans, which I really enjoy. The latte was basic, but the coffee was strong and wasn't washed out by the milk. The bahn mi was interesting. The veggies were heavily vinegared and had a slight funk to them like a kimchi. Combined with the chicken pate and the beer marinate pork gave the sandwich a very cheese funk which was very unexpected. The pulled pork was tasty, and the veggies were crisp, but the funk was strong. The choice in bread was also off. The veggies were drenched and the excess liquid sopped into the soft roll, leading to a very soggy and messy bite. It was a fun try, but not one I would try again. I would stick to the bakery and coffee and avoid the hot foods for the moment. Besides those issues, it's a nice location and a good bakery.
Heirloom is my go-to spot whenever my cookie or sweet tooth craving hits, especially if I'm nearby. Let me tell you, it never disappoints! I appreciate it so much every time I stop in because I'll go months without visiting, and when I do, all I want is something from their bakery window. Today, I treated myself to a cookie.. ok maybe 2 cookies (of course!) and also tried their gluten-free pancake donuts! They looked amazing and tasted just as good! I sat outside, enjoyed my cookie, and took a little breather before continuing my errands. Such a nice moment. Love that they have tables outside to enjoy. The staff here are always friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better.
Big fan of Heirloom Market! It's a beautiful cafe and community space complete with a small selection of local grocery items too. They now serve alcohol, and offer an "after dark" menu some days of the week. You can't go wrong with their menu! It's full of creative items and farm fresh ingredients. Call me basic, but their avocado toast is my go to. It's structurally sound because they make the toast nice and crunchy and it's topped with a generous portion of avocado, soft boiled egg, pickled onions, and radish. It's the absolute perfect combo! On our most recent trip my husband had the pickle melt, which was full of homemade pickled vegetables and cheese. We also had a bowl of corn gazpacho which was delicious and herbaceous, perfect on a warm day. They also have a great selection of baked goods to choose from. Their chocolate chip cookies are 100/10, but everything I've tried has been fabulous. Go take a stroll around Old Wethersfield and stop by to check them out!
Stopped by for breakfast bright and early before. Love the rustic feel as soon as you walk in! I ordered the Avocado Toast and the table split a Chocolate Banana Muffin and Bananna Bread. Very easy to order at the counter, get a buzzer for your food and wait for your drinks. Everything came out fast and tasted so fresh and very yummy! Lots of seating -- for privacy or even to grab a bite and work a bit, head up stairs where there is more seating. In addition to the food prepared lots of fun food items for purchase as well. Great and easy street parking. While i dined for breakfast, they have a stellar lunch menu as well with some amazing sandwiches!

This cafe is a staple in the central Connecticut area! Located in the heart of Old Wethersfield this spot has it all! Local charm with a rustic interior and exterior. This place has a few vegan options that change per season. The food and drinks here are always delicious! Great seating areas both outside and in. Perfect for a friend hang or cute date afternoon.
I love a market cafe combo! I had the yogurt bowl with a homemade fruit compote and an expertly crafted scone with a perfectly crunchy exterior and soft interior, barely sweet served with seasonal peach jam and butter. The matcha was also nice and strong. My friend loved her breakfast burrito. I can't wait to go back and try the biscuit egg sandwiches and muffins! The eggs look so fluffy. What a gorgeous space for a leisurely breakfast. We sat in the warm and sunny greenhouse space on this bright winter day. Long line at the counter moved quickly and efficiently. Name called out and freshly poured coffee picked up at the coffee bar, food announced by buzzer. My americano was smooth and full bodied thoughtfully served in ceramic. My biscuit sandwich was pretty life changing! The bisuit itself was flaky moist and oh so tender. Homemade sausage was seasoned beautifully. Elevating the sandwich was a baked egg, firm but custardy interior and the side of sriracha syrup. Less than a mile off of 91 on our way to Trillium Canton for our son's 30th birthday celebration! A 1000 stars for a cozy, grand, eye popping and tummy filling space. The kind of place that I would return to over and over if we lived here. I did expect a little more out of my grilled cheese, I expected a fluffy sourdough and more oozing of the cheese, the soup was lukewarm, but delicious. Even so, we just loved stopping here, sitting in the greenhouse room and walking around, looking at all the seeds and the pastries.. If you're looking for a stop on the highway between point a and B, this is your place. There's no way you would be disappointed but a definite that you will be thrilled.. read more

Heirloom Market offers not only a careful curation of sauces, spices, and snacks, but they also have an assortment of all the seeds you could possibly want to plant in your garden AND a gem of a kitchen and cafe. Their latte was one of the best we've had, with their housemade syrups making it smooth and flavorful. The asparagus toast was some of the best sourdough toasts we've had, with the pickled asparagus and lemon zest cutting through the creamy burrata, topped with a nutty, crunchy chili crisp. The baked goods looked amazing but some of the most popular items were already sold out by 10am. Wish we had a bigger appetite to try more things -- like the ginger molasses cookie! There's plenty of seating and parking. The market shares a street with other quaint, local businesses that look like they belong in a Hallmark movie. Bookmarking this place! So happy I found this little market! SEEDS galore! Anything and everything you can think of. I've been wanting to grow luffa with no luck of finding seeds (other than online). This market had everything I was looking for and more! The food is very fresh and tasty with organic, vegan and gluten free options. We finally got to try heirloom market and it was everything we had hoped for and more! Service was of course great. My husband said his iced maple latte was his favorite he has tried to far and we enjoy a lot of maple lattes! I also enjoyed my dirty chai. For lunch we got the ham and Gruyère and turkey bacon and avocado sandwiches. Both were excellent! We also loved their sea salt chocolate chip cookies. Their blueberry pancake donut did in fact taste just like a blueberry pancake! The inside is very large and has plenty of seating. There are a ton of goods to shop including pantry staples and fresh fruit and vegetables as well as all the seeds you can possibly think of. We are planning a trip up here again specifically to come back here! Absolutely worth the hype! read more

Love stopping here when in Old Wethersfield! They have so much to offer- if you want seeds, merch, local goods, or fresh made food and coffee, you're set. Plus tons of seating inside, and a decent place to bring a laptop and get some work done. Their cookies are fantastic (sea salt chocolate one of the best), and I love their seasonal rosemary beet lemonade. Most of their offerings are organic, and very tasty. A few times I've ordered here my order has been incorrect, but they've always been good about fixing it. And one time after I ordered a drink and paid, the barista told me they were actually out of the ingredients and couldn't make my drink. But I still keep coming back! :) read more

Looking to upgrade your garden? they have tons of flowers, vegetables and plant seeds. looking for local fruits and vegetables along with supporting local vendors? so many options! want a sweet treat? they have some many homemade goodies! need somewhere to work? they have so many tables! this place is just really great. i decided to work from here and the ambiance is just so pleasant! and the staff is incredibly friendly. i got their special strawberry matcha and it was really delicious! i also just had to try their sea salt chocolate chip cookie and i was blown away, it was so stinkin good! would come back here in a heartbeat. read more
This is the cutest spot ever. How did I not know this place existed? We stopped by while we visited the Scarecrows on Main and we have been back several times since. If you had to bottle up and cork New England, the label would read "Heirloom Market." This is a true bucket list destination--especially in the fall. A true gem. read more

Checked out PorchFest with live music on Main St Wethersfield today. Lots of families and couples and friends enjoying free yoga and live music and festivities all day. The limited special menu for today's event only offered quiche, breakfast burrito, Bacon or sausage egg cheese biscuit, or yogurt granola, so my daughter had the Bacon-Egg-Cheese sandwich with maple sriracha sauce and I had the yogurt granola. B.E.C. 3/5-the egg was fluffy like a soufflé and the bacon was crispy enough, but the biscuit was just too much bread and not very toasted. My daughter ate all the insides with a little salt and pepper and left the biscuit. My guess is it wasn't up to the usual standard due to having to make so much in bulk today. Yogurt granola--no fresh fruit and portion seemed very small--yogurt, berry jam, small amount of granola with dried fruit. Again I'm not sure it was to the usual standard. Ambience (5/5)--loved Heirloom Market's old architecture and the shelves of produce and flower seeds for sale. Enjoyed sitting in the greenhouse to enjoy our meal--appreciated the fans in the doorways creating a steady breeze, especially when a persistent wasp kept trying to sample our food and kept getting blown away. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Staff (5/5) --were all super patient and kind with the patrons and doing exceptionally well with quickly serving such a crowd today! read more
I took my first trip to heirloom this past weekend, and I've gotta say, I wish I had known about this place sooner. We went to have breakfast but I found my self zooming past the line to order and bee-lined right to the heirloom seeds. Wow what an incredible selection. Some very interesting things you won't find other places. I got myself and my mom some very unique pink sunflower seeds. We walked around shopping and trying to find all the cute little nooks available to sit in and enjoy whatever you order, and we came across the green house. Outside was full, no seats left, but who cares when you can sit in an amazing empty greenhouse. We sat near some knitters and had a lovely little chat, one said to come back when it rains to enjoy some coffee in the greenhouse (great idea, can't wait). We ordered egg and cheese sandwich's on biscuits and they did not disappoint! Wow those eggs (they look like soufflé eggs) were huge, and the biscuits were delicious. The two of us could have shared one for sure! We also ordered two donuts one cantaloupe almond and the other was cherry chocolate, we got the last one. The cherry chocolate was hands down our favorite! Also big enough to share. What really impresses me is coffee however. I was happy to learn they had a light roast (nothing worse than a gross overly roasted dark roast, yuck). This coffee was great. It was not acidic, it was one of my favorite cups of coffee that I have found living in this area of CT. The staff was very nice, as were the other patrons enjoying their time. I love the vibe of this place, it was relaxing and exciting. They also have a bar, and a late night menu which I will definitely be going back out to try. Afterwards we took a stroll down the lovely little village area and it was also beautiful. Is this place worth a trip? Yes. Yes. Yes. A great place to bring a date, your family, your friends for a cup of coffee, or even a little business meeting. Would highly recommend read more
Super cute ambiance! Absolutely love the vintage vibe. This place is extremely well managed. The food was excellent. I had the B.E.C. which is definitely enough to be shared between two people. The maple siracha is a delicious touch that really made the sandwich sing. We also enjoyed some Bloody Mary's and sampled the morning glory muffin (so so good - and not easy to find) and a blueberry pancake donut. The Bloody Mary kind of fell flat. Could have used some spice and olives but they were fine. I look forward to visiting again to try some lunch options and do a little shopping in the storefront. Plenty of seating indoor and out. Definitely a very quaint area of Wethersfield to explore. read more
I can never say enough great things about heirloom market ! I turned a lot of my friends and family over to them and it's easily our favorite cafe in town! It's a must stop once a week when I'm in town! From the rustic decor , the grocery store inside , the friendly staff you'll leave there feeling like you were apart of a hallmark movie ! (Fun fact they've been featured in a few ;) ) I live in Fl now but my family is still in CT so whenever I visit them I always say this is the first stop I want off the plane and the first meal before I head back down south! Also if you've never tried their sea salt chocolate chip cookie (not pictured ) it'll change your life !!! You can't go wrong with any choice here ! read more

The coziest market cafe with such varied seating! There is so much to see here and the environment is simply amazing. There is something for everyone; From fresh groceries and plant seeds to amazing coffee and baked goods. I am visiting Connecticut for a short fall break, and this has definitely been one of the highlights of the trip! read more
This is such a gem! There is street parking and several other shops to visit. Staff is super friendly and they have endless seeds to grow plants, flowers,fruits and veggies and the packs are between $2-4 which is great. It's a nice place to walk around and see the different varieties while you wait for your food or beverages. There is ample seating all around. We ordered the grilled cheese, hot chocolate and chai latte w/coconut milk- The best! They do have cocktails list on the table for brunch and craft beer list also. I definitely have to come back for brunch. You can purchase produce, frozen items and dairy products that are in their small refrigerated section. I look forward to coming back when it is warmer. Super adorable place to grab something to eat and read! I came on a Saturday morning, so the line to order food was very long and went out the door. It also took a little while to get my BEC and iced green tea. The BEC was phenomenal. The egg was extremely fluffy, and the hot honey served with it was delicious. It was very thick and, thus, a little hard to bite into, and the biscuit fell apart a little, but it was great overall. I sat in the greenhouse to enjoy the sunlight and read a book, and it was nice and warm. There was also plenty of seating, which was surprising with how many people were there. read more

Great friendly service was greatly appreciated as it was so hard to choose from the options available. Heirloom Market did not disappoint.
