Bruno's Cafe is located in Unionville in a small plaza. Parking was ample. The interior was cozy and the customer service was friendly. I'm a coffee lover and love visiting cafes. They had plenty of drinks to choose from. I decided to get a matcha latte and it was delicious. My husband enjoyed their cold brew. They had some baked goods and snacks as well. I look forward to going back for more coffee soon!

Grilled cheese and tomato soup, delicious.

Nice coffee spot in Unionville. Secret weapon of this place is really the food and the pastries. Im not a big specialty coffee guy but I get the tomato soup w grilled cheese combo, which is just a winner. Girls at the register are super nice and the place could get crowded so if you are going to eat, keep in mind it gets busy.

This is such an amazing coffee spot. We went in the middle of a weekday and it was so busy! They have lots of food and pastry options. The drink customizations are endless and they are very helpful if you're trying to decide what to get. This might seem small but my friend and I LOVED the music that they played inside. It was such a vibe. All of the staff were so nice and personable. Even when it was super busy, we never felt rushed or like anyone was being rude. You can tell that the staff love to work here!

Oooooh my...check out this smear of cream cheese...I thought Einsteins ruled the world until this one! Cute little place, friendly staff, great coffee and yummy food. It's limited on inside space, but cute enough that you won't mind.

Such a cute cafe! Bruno's has been on my list for a while now because their seasonal/limited drinks always look so appealing and their ingredients and baked goods are high quality, with the pastries being made daily locally and the milk being from Arethusa. I'm glad I finally got to try them. I got the gingerbread chai, which I loved. It wasn't too sweet, and the cold foam added a nice touch. I also enjoyed my sandwich - the Hot Mama - which I was told is one of the most popular sandwiches here. It was much larger than I was expecting, and the combination of all the toppings was delicious. My only gripe is that the hot honey was really liquidy. Overall, I would come back. I'm looking forward to trying a pastry next time!

Such a lovely cafe! We were so impressed by their service and the care they put into everything they offer. They use beans from Counter Culture, their pastries are sourced from New Haven, and their sourdough bread is made with ingredients imported from France. They even make their own milk and oat milk, with dairy coming from Arethusa Farm. It's amazing to see small businesses like this thrive. We'll definitely be back to support them again!

OBSESSED. This spot is super cute and definitely gives off those perfect New England vibes. I wish I caught her name, but the cashier was super friendly and helpful! I was torn between so many options on their menu because everything sounded really good. I ended up ordering the big bird sandwich with a side of tomato basil soup. DELICIOUS. Im not the biggest fan of blue cheese so I will say it was a bit heavy, but this sandwich was on point. The soup was so flavorful and a huge size for only being a side. Their pastries are from G cafe in New Haven so I love to see the #collab! I got the pistachio croissant which was a bit dry but perfect the next morning after I threw it in my toaster oven. They also have the cutest swag I've see in a long time!

Bruno's Cafe is such a delightful coffee shop!Brunos had a calming and earthly ambience with a friendly staff to welcome you as you entered. They had adorable merch and a lovely selection of coffee and breakfast/ lunch items. The coffee and avocado toast was fantastic. Thank you Bruno's!

The restaurant felt very welcoming and they have a lot of food and drinks on their menu unlike other small cafes. I went with my friend and the sandwich I got was absolutely delicious. They have a long list of flavors to add to their coffees and lates, but I ended up getting a dragonfruit refresher that I was very pleased with.

I'm here for lunch having the big bird chicken sandwich and it's so amazing and so flavorful. The staff is super kind and the music inside is nice.

I stopped here for lunch with some new friends as we were ready to do some seasonal fall activities locally :) It was a cute cafe with a decent sized menu. Plenty of parking in the lot. Indoor & outdoor seating available. I got the grilled cheese with soup and kombucha and it was a great combo for a beautiful, warm, October day. We sat outside and soaked in the sun. It was lovely.

Fiesta (avocado toast, kinda pricy for what you get, I think a sandwich probably gets you more bang for your buck)

Bruno's is a nice place to get breakfast, I go there a lot with my sister. Their pastries are good and so are their breakfast sandwiches. It is on the more expensive en if you're getting like a full breakfast. For instance two coffees, two breakfast sandwiches and a pastry might cost round $50 total. But everything will taste good and the place is cute. It would cost less if you didn't go all out but I'm a foodie. Pastries are great they just disappear really quickly, so if you want more options be sure to get there early! Service is nice, you order at the register then wait for them to call your names for coffee and food. Food takes a bit to make so don't expect fast food like timing, it's more of a sit down/wait type deal than 5 minutes then walk away

"Sunny Grove" breakfast sandwich on a bagel
    Caz S.

Going to places who shine in making breakfast sandwiches are a gem to me. Bruno's cafe is a local gem. I ordered a "Sunny Grove" breakfast sandwich and it delivered. The flavor was there packed with avocado, bacon, egg, and cheese. The bagel was fresh fluffy and light. The egg was perfectly seasoned and over easy in my sandwich. Paired with a standard oat milk latte this breakfast was very satisfying. Bruno's has a lot of options with a friendly staff, very cool aesthetic in their cafe and a lot of gluten free pastry options. I would recommend Bruno's to anyone in the area for the weekend or to stop in before you go to work.

Think people are hating this place because they are comparing the food to Stop & Shop. The taste is pretty different. Sour Dough from NY, Vermont that was "baked today" but feels half frozen is $7 at Whole Foods ... so complaining about $10 for a local one is kind of wild. Yesterday I had a baguette from the West Hartford location. Ate it on the way home. It was so good. Finally tried a sandwich. I had their Turkey Sandwich today. Shit was life changing. Haven't had an experience like that since having a steak at J Gilberts for the first time. It is like wow this is what real food taste like and what our parents & grand parents would eat before everything was mass produced. Everything was local and delicious. Price wise it was $2 more than a regular sized Jersey Mikes Turkey Bacon sandwich. The coffee and the other baked goods I thought were just ok but their bread, cookies and sandwiches are incredible.

I purchased a sliced loaf As I was looking through the showcase, I saw these blueberry scones that looked beautiful, and the love was showing through. They were talking to me. I said to the friendly server "I'll take three!" This place is a must try and a hidden gem for all to visit at least once! Here, take my money! I will be back!

We gladly exiled ourselves to the empty patio, with gusts of wind, flying leaves, & steady stream of stop 'n go traffic along Route 4. It couldn't have been better! Indoors tightly packed booths & tables, family atmosphere, and servers buzzing about. Service: Given our solitary position, we found the service to be forgetful with regard to the hearty soles outside. Coffee request came twice and finally order taken. However, my wife received the wrong plate, which was quickly corrected. I just hope the other indoor customer did not receive the plate all ready sampled! Food: I had the standard Unionville Special breakfast plate per following options; 2 eggs over easy, 2 slices of pumpkin French toast, 2 slices of bacon. A side order of bacon to share, including Velcro Pup. My wife egg/cheese Unionville Special Quesadilla, With well done home fries and bacon. All in all the FOOD was very good and not a crumb left. The SERVICE a bit scattered and slow, but we were allowed the Patio and all is forgiven. The AMBIANCE indoors a bit tighter than this diner would like and the VALUE, well like everywhere else these dazes, not easy on the pocket.
