Quick and easy service, great interior and well spaced and great selection. I did a bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel with extra egg and a small coffee. The bagel was perfectly seasoned the egg and bacon and cheese cooked well and was perfectly warm. I loved the coffee and it was brewed well. This place is an excellent place to eat and should be a must stop whether you need a quick bite to go or a you're bringing a book or a laptop and staying around for awhile Thanks!

Solid bagel for CT Been heading to NY and NJ a lot as of late. Decided to make a trek to a bagel shop to see how they compare to some of my other local bagel places. Place has plenty of parking, but is obscured by tree cover so it's not easy to spot when driving. Ordering was easy. Wait in line, order from the front and they call out your order at the opposite side. Got an everything bagel toasted with jalapeño smear. Came out quick and I dug in. The bagels are much softer than many others I've tried. Fresh, not a real chewy crust but a pillowy, crispy bagel. Cream cheese had plenty of heat, but very mellowed out by the dairy. The mini cinnamon rolls were a little tough. Good flavor but very bready. The bagel was much softer. Compared to a ny or nj bagel, the lack of chew and the slight tang you would expect from a bagel is sorely lacking. It's a good bagel, one of the better ones I've had in ct. it's a soft but crispy cream cheese or breakfast food delivery vessel. Its not the best bagel you can get, but it's pretty good and the best for the area

Isaac's Bagel Cafe has been on my radar as a possible top CT bagel destination, and I recently visited Saturday around 8:30 a.m. It's clearly very popular. The ten or so tables were mostly full of people eating or waiting for their takeout orders. There was a five person line for most of our time there, but to Isaac's credit, they kept the line moving. From the time we ordered, it took about 10 minutes to get our food. That's a solid achievement under the circumstances. I tried a pastrami, fried egg and American on toasted everything bagel, and a spinach bagel with veggie cream cheese. With the exception of the pastrami, which was average pastrami you might get at the deli of a standard grocery store, everything was good. Nothing really popped relative to the other best bagel places in CT. I can see why it's popular with locals, but I would not drive out of my way to visit given other Hartford County options closer to me. Four Stars.

Me a satisfied customer on way to work after I ate at aisaac's.

This place is Rockstar quality. The Cafe is well-lit, full of life, has all ages of customers from two to 80 enjoying their food. The tables and chairs, the wall decor and the rest of the Cafe was tastefully decorated. Reader I did not want to leave...however, that lox and bagel I had filled my belly! I will go back soon to try a lunch order on a day off. Bravo Isaac's you are way better than Brueggers down the road fo sho.

The cinnamon sugar bagel was delicious! I also really liked the Apple nut cake, it was perfectly sweet. My mom got a lox and stock sandwich and she said they put a little too much capers . We had to wait quite a bit, the service was a little slow. The atmosphere wasn't too bad. But, it was also packed when I went with my family on a Tuesday so it was a little hard to find a table.

A solid bagel joint and a very nice little area to sit down and eat. The bacon and egg was flavorful and the bagel good quality. The service was adequate but nothing to write home about. There are better spots in CT.

We got breakfast sandwiches here yesterday before golf and the whole group agreed it was arguably the best sandwich of our lives. We added an extra egg to each sango and to round out the double egg we went double sausage as well. Cugino mike made us do it.... Then these lunatics have a jalapeno cheddar everything bagel...never seen that before....which totally elevated this thing. Throw in a crispy hash brown, some hot sauce on the sango.... Perfection. This is a place you drive 30+ minutes to if you're craving the best bfast sango around. Sorry no pics... There just wasn't time

The best French Toast bagel ever.

The best bagel place in Bloomfield and maybe in the Hartford area. I tried others and never had a bagel this good. This is my favorite breakfast spot in Bloomfield and we purchase a bagel sandwich loke once a week. They have a wide variety of breakfast and lunch items on their menu and a long list of different types of bagels to choose from. My favorite bagel is the French toast and the Asiago bagel. If you are ever in the area feel free to check out my go-to breakfast spot

Totally adore this place!! Tuck in beside Isaac's Food Mart-we always forget that it's here. But while on the hunt for the best bagels and breakfast in CT, we just had to stop in. This time around we ordered a breakfast special of eggs any way (over easy for us), with bacon, home fries and then a bagel/croissant/toast-all for just $6.99. We're telling you right now, no one can beat that! The home fries were not baby sized which we appreciate so much and they come out blazing hot!! Issac's makes sure all to go orders have ketchup and utensils and napkins included-this is a majorly important detail-not every business cares or remembers. Trust-they want ya to come back again and again! And next time we hope the phone booth is open so We can get a good photo op!!

There's always a little pressure when a dinner is part reunion, part catch-up, part "please let the restaurant be good enough to match the occasion," and Republic absolutely came through. The whole evening was fantastic. Shane took great care of us and struck that perfect balance of being attentive, personable, and making everything feel easy. He helped the night flow in a way that let us relax, laugh, catch up, and enjoy ourselves without ever feeling rushed. The dinners across the table were a hit, but my Moroccan lamb special was next-level. It was one of those meals where you take a bite and immediately stop mid-conversation because your full attention has been redirected to the plate. The flavors were rich, layered, and so unexpectedly good that I'm still thinking about it. Everyone loved their meal, the atmosphere made it easy to settle in and enjoy the evening, and the prices felt very reasonable, especially for how good the whole experience was. Overall, yes, I would go back to dine here and I would recommend Republic Gastropub.

I love coffee, drinking it hot or cold, and what I had here is in my all-time Top Five Percent. It was that good. I had a sip of my wife's Chai Latte and thought it was excellent as well. What really impressed me were the flavors of both drinks- not overpowering, but strong enough to appreciate them. The Coffee Guy has it all - specialty coffees, matcha, chai, espresso drinks, and pastries and sweet treats to pair with your coffee cup. This almost never happens with him lol. Chicken Little sandwich was so-so. The cheddar biscuit was overtly salty. The fried chicken itself had no salt. I do not eat Ham but my husband who tried it said the ham cheese and biscuit would almost make it too salty. I asked for some hot honey to balance my sandwich. I got a butterscotch caramel latte which was actually quite good! Black coffee was not good. We could see the chef from the kitchen window. He did not seem very passionate or attentive. They also have some baked goods like a cinnamon roll, alfagor shortbread cookies, and various cakes; they seemed to have a dry consistency which isn't my preference with pastries. The spinach and chicken empanadas ($6 each) were also a little dry and crust to filling ratio was more on the crust side. The two omelettes were ok but one was more well done than the other and you couldn't really customize it much; the home fries were good though. They also have a variety of drinks that were interesting, especially the Peruvian coffee and golden latte. You order at the counter and then your food is brought to you. Empanadas just needed to be heated. The atmosphere isn't bad. There are a few small tables and it was pretty quiet, with a few customers stopping in every once in awhile. The interior is very pretty with a white and pink color scheme, but what really grabs your attention are the tantalizing bakery treats in their showcase - cake slices, Dulche de Leche rolls, and wonderful Peruvian cookie/pastries known as Alfajores. Pam also serves up breakfast with avocado toasts, bagels wraps, egg sandwiches, and heartier fare like waffles, empanadas, steak and eggs, omelets, pancakes and waffles. Add in their deep line of coffees and teas, and you have the makings of a wonderful experience here, like we did. We had a very nice lunch here yesterday and ordered a spinach empanada and a beef empanada for me, and a Lucuma Chocolate Chip Waffle ($11.50). My empanadas ($6 each) were wonderful. They are homemade every single day by Pam herself and were flaky, tender, and really loaded with fillings. The beef empanada was my favorite; the delicately spiced ground beef was delicious. The full-sized circular waffle was a work of art, garnished with strawberries, Nutella, chocolate shavings and bordered by a pillow of golden whipped cream flavored by Lucuma, a sweet yellowish South American fruit. When Pam's daughter Danitza brought out our foods, she gave us a complimentary Nutella Alfajor - a yummy, filled shortbread cookie. Ours was so terrific, we ordered two of them to go -a Classic and a Pistachio. When we arrived home, we saw a third small Alfajor was tossed into the box as another freebie. We really fell in love with Baked by Pam! The delicious pastries, the breakfast and brunch menu, the pretty interior, and the wonderful service -everything was stellar.

It's incredible to see the restoration of a historic building. We had reservations and were seated promptly. Our server Shamille was attentive, made great suggestions and took care in explaining the mission and impact they are having on the community. The food: -Biscuits were TOP NOTCH. The warm flavors and flakiness were to die for. -The hummus was also amazing. Perfect seasoning and flavors. Lavender lemonade? So Good! -All of the mains were good; we had the ribs, beef shoulder, Mahi with banana leaf and mahi tacos. Flavors were good, albeit spicy on a couple. -The ají verde sauce is no joke lol definitely has a kick. For the kitchen: larger pieces of fish, a slaw or cilantro crema and cotija would elevate the tacos. The flavors were good, but the taco was a little empty. Also perhaps drops of the verde sauce on the ribs versus a drizzle to tone down the heat so nothing takes away from the flavor which was amazing by the way. Epically delicious! Desserts: -The cheesecake was nice, soft and not too sweet. -The marshmallow was like a mochi. You had to chew it well before swallowing but it was well executed and delicious. -The sweet potato cobbler would probably be better as a crisp with an herbed streusel. The ice cream was amazing! The place looked spacious and with a lot of light, it looked clean and they seemed to have a nice selection of wines (for those that like it) , they were displayed for people to see, which I thought looked very nice. I went to the restroom to wash my hands and I found it odd that there was only 1 restroom for the size of the restaurant. Our waiter was nice, he took our order and we were excited. The food took a VERY long time, we were starving, and we had kids with us so that wasn't good. Some of our orders were wrong and so unfortunately we had to wait even longer for the right meal. We didn't order alcohol but we did older a couple of mocktails. I was SUPER excited for them because that's something I always appreciate at a restaurant. I'm sad to say that they were AWFUL!! straight up syrup, not bubbly (some were supposed to have soda in them) not sweet, simply not enjoyable at all, I ended up switching it for a simple club soda, I figured it was a safe bet. When my food came out, it was ok, I had the avocado toast, and it was forgettable, my sister had the chicken and waffles and now THAT was the meal to get, it was large in portion and that chicken was beyond tasty!! My other sister has the lomito sandwich with the chips and it was good, something missing but she enjoyed it. The rest of the food were burgers and they were ok, the kids had burgers and Mac and cheese and they were not tasty according to the children's disinterest in barely touching their food (and they love cheeseburgers). I'm always willing to bypass certain things as long as customer service delivers BUT unfortunately they fell short. We were celebrating an engagement and so we were all very happy and in a great mood, when suddenly workers around us were cleaning up the neighboring tables, and even sweeping very close to us. We thought the place was possibly closing? (Even though it was only 2:15pm). I asked if they were closing and they said that they close the restaurant from 3-4 so their employees can go eat .... I'm not against giving them a break BUT, it really felt like they were kicking us out, we felt pressured to eat fast and wrap it up, not a good feeling, when you are in the zone of happiness. It was our first time there so, I would have appreciated if they would have informed us that the restaurant takes a little break in between and then we would have decided if we wanted to stay or go elsewhere. They did bring a little dessert and 2 mocktails for the newly engaged which was nice, I'll give them that. Overall, I don't think the food and experience was worth me coming back or recommending this place, I'm sure there's other much better places.
