Solid bagel for CT Been heading to NY and NJ a lot as of late. Decided to make a trek to a bagel shop to see how they compare to some of my other local bagel places. Place has plenty of parking, but is obscured by tree cover so it's not easy to spot when driving. Ordering was easy. Wait in line, order from the front and they call out your order at the opposite side. Got an everything bagel toasted with jalapeño smear. Came out quick and I dug in. The bagels are much softer than many others I've tried. Fresh, not a real chewy crust but a pillowy, crispy bagel. Cream cheese had plenty of heat, but very mellowed out by the dairy. The mini cinnamon rolls were a little tough. Good flavor but very bready. The bagel was much softer. Compared to a ny or nj bagel, the lack of chew and the slight tang you would expect from a bagel is sorely lacking. It's a good bagel, one of the better ones I've had in ct. it's a soft but crispy cream cheese or breakfast food delivery vessel. Its not the best bagel you can get, but it's pretty good and the best for the area

The cinnamon sugar bagel was delicious! I also really liked the Apple nut cake, it was perfectly sweet. My mom got a lox and stock sandwich and she said they put a little too much capers . We had to wait quite a bit, the service was a little slow. The atmosphere wasn't too bad. But, it was also packed when I went with my family on a Tuesday so it was a little hard to find a table.

Isaac's Bagel Cafe has been on my radar as a possible top CT bagel destination, and I recently visited Saturday around 8:30 a.m. It's clearly very popular. The ten or so tables were mostly full of people eating or waiting for their takeout orders. There was a five person line for most of our time there, but to Isaac's credit, they kept the line moving. From the time we ordered, it took about 10 minutes to get our food. That's a solid achievement under the circumstances. I tried a pastrami, fried egg and American on toasted everything bagel, and a spinach bagel with veggie cream cheese. With the exception of the pastrami, which was average pastrami you might get at the deli of a standard grocery store, everything was good. Nothing really popped relative to the other best bagel places in CT. I can see why it's popular with locals, but I would not drive out of my way to visit given other Hartford County options closer to me. Four Stars.

Me a satisfied customer on way to work after I ate at aisaac's.

This place is Rockstar quality. The Cafe is well-lit, full of life, has all ages of customers from two to 80 enjoying their food. The tables and chairs, the wall decor and the rest of the Cafe was tastefully decorated. Reader I did not want to leave...however, that lox and bagel I had filled my belly! I will go back soon to try a lunch order on a day off. Bravo Isaac's you are way better than Brueggers down the road fo sho.

A solid bagel joint and a very nice little area to sit down and eat. The bacon and egg was flavorful and the bagel good quality. The service was adequate but nothing to write home about. There are better spots in CT.

We got breakfast sandwiches here yesterday before golf and the whole group agreed it was arguably the best sandwich of our lives. We added an extra egg to each sango and to round out the double egg we went double sausage as well. Cugino mike made us do it.... Then these lunatics have a jalapeno cheddar everything bagel...never seen that before....which totally elevated this thing. Throw in a crispy hash brown, some hot sauce on the sango.... Perfection. This is a place you drive 30+ minutes to if you're craving the best bfast sango around. Sorry no pics... There just wasn't time

The best French Toast bagel ever.

The best bagel place in Bloomfield and maybe in the Hartford area. I tried others and never had a bagel this good. This is my favorite breakfast spot in Bloomfield and we purchase a bagel sandwich loke once a week. They have a wide variety of breakfast and lunch items on their menu and a long list of different types of bagels to choose from. My favorite bagel is the French toast and the Asiago bagel. If you are ever in the area feel free to check out my go-to breakfast spot

Totally adore this place!! Tuck in beside Isaac's Food Mart-we always forget that it's here. But while on the hunt for the best bagels and breakfast in CT, we just had to stop in. This time around we ordered a breakfast special of eggs any way (over easy for us), with bacon, home fries and then a bagel/croissant/toast-all for just $6.99. We're telling you right now, no one can beat that! The home fries were not baby sized which we appreciate so much and they come out blazing hot!! Issac's makes sure all to go orders have ketchup and utensils and napkins included-this is a majorly important detail-not every business cares or remembers. Trust-they want ya to come back again and again! And next time we hope the phone booth is open so We can get a good photo op!!

So hard finding a great breakfast place that's clean, good and quick. However, this place is all of that and more. So many bagels choices! And muffins! You would never regret coming here, it will become your new spot. I love the veggie omelette and all of the breakfast sandwiches. Everything is fresh and the staff is great. Highly recommend

Beautiful egg and cheese on a jalapeño everything bagel

Easily one of the best bagels in Connecticut This bagel is an authentic New York bagel. Extremely clean establishment unlike many other bagel shops Great seating area and a great selection on bagels. I got a jalapeño everything bagel with egg and cheese. The bagel had an abundance of everything seasoning. And my favorite, tons of jalapeños. The bagel had a great snap and chew to it which is essential to an authentic NY bagel. Egg and cheese cooked to perfection. 5 out of 5 stars.

The Bagel shop is in a newer developed space along Route 4 (aka busy Farmington Avenue). The odd thing I couldn't get through my head was how the site was designed. The back of the shops face out to Farmington Ave and the store fronts and parking are in the rear? Usually it's the other way around. Terrible advertising for the businesses. Just the same, I managed to stop, ordered two Everything bagels with White Fish spread and a large dark roast coffee. I was met with "...white what...". I repeated and added, "...its Jewish thing, which is delicious on a bagel. " Sorry we don't have that." Hmmm . Well I'll have a thin smear of creamed cheese, which they had plenty, on my two toasted Everything bagels. I prepped my coffee and in a flash the bagels were packaged and bagged. I was given a "have a nice day". Get in my car, unwrapped the First bagel, ahh an Everything. Later the second was unwrapped back a my home office and a Toasted Sesame Seed jumped out at me. No offense Sesame lovers, I was hugely disappointed my simple order got twisted. And to top off my dissatisfaction NO WHITE FISH SPREAD!

The person in front of me had a big order -- she loves the place -- but it moved quick and they were quick to fill my order. Got a fresh cup of coffee that was good. For me, the bagels here aren't my thing. I love a NY bagel, but these are just more like the type you'd get in the midwest (where I once was) or get from a grocery store. That said, they loaded it up with scallion cream cheese and price is right. Overall, it's a change from some of the other bagel places around here and there's definitely a market for it. As the person in front of me raved, it's her favorite place. For me, just ok.

I have experienced all levels of customer service here but that is to be expected with many years of patronage. I prefer to order ahead online and grab my order from the shelf. I do also check the order as there have been a few times either cream cheese didn't make the bag or we were missing bagels. I love their cream cheese. something about it is so sweet and delicious. A cinnamon sugar bagel toasted with vanilla cream cheese is the ultimate. Easy parking. Right on route 10. There were no fewer than 6 people behind the counter and it was not terribly busy. I ordered a toasted bagel with a side of plain cream cheese. It took 12 minutes. But what gets me is how many people who came in after me were getting their food. No, these weren't online orders. Also, you're a bagel place. You slice a bagel, throw it in the toaster. The speed on the conveyor should not be so fast that the bagel gets warm and not toasted. It's not like it got me out of there any faster that's for sure. And after toasting, show me one person who wants their bagel cut again in half so I am left with 4 quarters.
