Great coffee and lots of options to choose from, hot or cold. Conveniently located and we got lucky and didn't have to wait for a table.

Heck yes, I love this place. Early on a fall Friday morning my wife and I, ever on our quest for the best breakfast, hit TJ's burritos. The menu and photos completely sold me on the place. It was a really warm and welcoming experience. The guy who greeted and sat us also brought us our drinks and breakfast. He was also very sweet and we had a couple of laughs with him too. One thing I cannot cover in this review is coffee but I can say, they have a TON of options and seem very coffee-centric. I'm a tea drinker and my wife is a basic coffee drinker. The burritos we ordered and split were fantastic. We got the Loaded Potato burrito and the Corned beef hash burrito. So good. The hash was like something your grandma made, definitely not of the canned variety. I already plan to return for another breakfast but I also can't wait to try their Happy Hour, Lunch and Dinner. TJ's is great. Go!

Sweat and sour chicken

We had the most amazing time at TJ burritos . They host a yelp event on Thursday and the staff was incredible!! Everyone was soo sweat and lovely even with the restaurant being packed and super busy. This post is going to be long so be prepared because we got to try so much food ! We were able to try the iced coffee flight which was amazing the captain crunch was a fan favourite as was the cinnamon crunch . Next we tried the sweet and sour chicken which I loved I could eat the whole plate myself ( but i shared ) definitely recommend. Another appetizer we tried was the fried beef with risotto balls ( not sure if the name ) but a huge fan favourite everyone loved them as did I ( I ate like 4or 5 of them ) absolutely delicious highly recommend. We paired the margaritas flight with the appetizers which included classic , strawberry, blood orange and coconut. Which were all great .. the coconut one was very coconut-y. There was a separate spicy margarita flight as well and the pineapple coconut was very spicy .. so if you want to try a spicy drink that's the one . If you like smoke flavour the Smokey thyme Paloma is the one for you . The birria quesadillas were AMAZING .. so tasty and flavourful 10/10 can't wait to get them again . The chicken burrito which was filled with cilantro rice , lettuce , smoked chicken , sour cream and cheddar cheese was good , but not as flavourful . And My favourite part was the CHURROS !!! The churros were so light and fluffy but as soon as you take a bite you your mind blown with deliciousness as it's filled with chocolate on the inside . And even better when you dip it in the caramel sauce it comes with .. I'm still obsessed with the churro and will def be back for them !!! Highly recommend can't wait to be back!!!

"Why don't you go Let me eat my burrito" (The Doors) We were always big fans of the original TJ's Burritos in East Granby, so when they opened a second location in nearby Bloomfield (where Sloppy Waffle and Amna's used to be) we knew it was just a matter of time before we visited. And then, when I heard a local band we follow (Intergalactic Kegger) was playing there last night and two tables of friends would be in the house, well that made our decision to join them an easy one. The restaurant's interior looks great, a big improvement over its predecessors, with light gray wainscoting, colorful logos and artwork, a white subway tiled bar, and a big comfy couch and table in the back. Their food and drink options mirror the original TJ's, and if you've never been here before, be prepared to be super impressed by what you'll see on their menus. Their Mexican themed food choices are very deep with plenty of tacos, empanadas, quesadillas, nachos, fajitas, chili, and of course their namesake burritos. Traditional pub fare like wings, buffalo shrimp, crab cakes, calamari, salads, chicken sandwiches, burgers, and more. Definitely, something for everyone. But their drink menu gets even more interesting! Cocktails, boozy coffees, gin/vodka/martini/margarita/tequila/bourbon/whiskey/rum specialties are everywhere. Seriously, I just counted close to sixty different drinks on their menu, not including their beers, wines, sangrias, mimosas, and flights. Flights? What type of flights might you ask? Well buckle your seat belts, stow your tray tables, and prepare for take-off with a flight of Coffees, Cappuccinos (with or without booze), Hot Cocoa Flight, Wine Flight, Boozy Hot Cocoa Flight, Margarita Flight, Bloody Mary Flight, Boozy Iced Coffee Flight, Espresso Martini Flight, a Fall Flight (apple, pumpkin, fig!), a Tito's Flight, a Margarita Seasonal Flight, a Spicy Margarita Flight, a Down East Cider Flight, a Mimosa Flight, and a Gin Flight. I think you'll be a frequent Flyer in no time! We started our visit with a basket of complimentary chips and salsa and went to the night's special margarita menu for a cherry lime margarita ($12). Of course it was excellent, so excellent I had two. We each had a quesadilla for dinner - a Chicken quesadilla and a Carne Asada ($12 base + $6 for the protein). They were generous portions, and two of the four pieces were enough to satisfy us. The rest will be for lunch. Service was great, and the team that took care of us as TJ's got progressively busy was attentive, friendly and efficient. The band came on at 7:00 and had a great location at the front wall of the front dining room. Intergalactic Kegger is a five-piece band that specializes in '90's music with a very unique conga drum driven sound. They have a Facebook page, and if you search them out, you'll enjoy them. Their next appearance will be at Hartford's Parkville Market on March 15.

4/5 - TJ's Burritos & Coffee serves big, flavorful burritos with plenty of filling and creative options. The vibe is fun with coffee and drink flights, and the staff is friendly. Sometimes the food can be a little inconsistent, but overall it's a solid spot for a quick, satisfying meal.

Great Drinks, Okay Food, Good Prices TJ's Burrito is a mixed bag, but worth a visit for the drinks and prices. The ambiance was okay, the food was good, but the drinks were great. Drinks: I was impressed by the spicy margarita (even though I don't usually like them!), and the espresso martini flight was delicious. My friend enjoyed her margarita too. TJ's is worth the visit for the drinks alone. Food:The birria risotto balls were just recommend by the waitress and we were glad we got them. The shrimp mango tacos were decent, but for Mexican to WOW me, it needs to be amazing. Overall: Despite the hit-or-miss food, the great drinks and reasonable prices would bring me back.

The staff here is very attentive and nice! I specifically wanted to Try the coffee flight which I loved. They have such a big menu it's so hard to choose! But everything looks delicious, today I tried the Mexican burger with truffle fries which was amazing in flavor! Dying to go try more of their dishes. Love the ambience and how cute the place is. They also have an outdoor seating area.

Worked a Corona hat Patxh sampling event and got to try their $3.00 refresher of the day. The strawberry apple refresher is so delicious and refreshing. There is also a $3.50 latte coffee of the day daily offered as well. You won't be disappointed. Service is always w a smile when you 1st walk in.

It's becoming an unspoken tradition in my family to visit TJ's Burritos when we get home after a flight at Bradley, and I'm here for it! We decided to change it up and come to their newer Bloomfield location, and we found it to be consistent to what we know and love from the original in East Granby. We always love their variety of flights and creative menu items, and you know you'll leave full and happy! I already can't wait until my next visit!

tuxnis burrito

went to TJ's burritos for their one year anniversary and i loved the vibes! it did take a little time for someone to bring us water and menus but our server was incredible. for drinks i got their shirley temple in a bucket which was so fun and delicious! our food took about an hour to come out which was definitely a stretch but my mom and i were just enjoying ourselves. we got the tuxnis burrito and out of all foods, i thought this would be the best, considering their name, but it was not good at all. the rice was severely overcooking leading it be mushy which made the rest of the burrito mushy - it also lacked a lot of flavor. it was also not cut like a burrito typically is cut. the chili was pretty good but was a bit watery. however the street corn dip was absolutely delicious along with their chicken tinga tacos, so yummy! and their chocolate chip cookies were really good as well. the only problem was on their social media and signs in the front, they advertised 3 chicken tinga tacos for $10 but only brought me 2. After asking, they said it is only 2 tacos, but after showing them the sign at the front, they brought me out another one. I think they definitely need to ensure they have the correct information that is cross posted.

Great spot to stop by any time of day that has a wide variety of food and drink options to choose from at good prices. All the food and drinks were very good, service was great, and the atmposhere in there was nice and not too noisy. My favorite was the chocolate filled churro's i had for dessert. Definitely recommend stopping by to try if youre in the area and looking for a quality meal.

Spicy Margarita flight

Place was packed but the service was still top notch, they have a hard working crew at TJ's! The highlights are definitely the margarita flights, the beef rissoto balls, the chocolate filled churros with caramel dipping sauce, and the birria quesadillas! Ambiance is fun and casual.

I made a reservation for our visit and was seated promptly at a beautiful table near the front door. The entire dining area is gorgeous--so much attention to detail. Service throughout our meal was attentive and friendly. I had the boeuf bourguignon and it was so tender and seasoned perfectly. I also had the bread service, featuring sourdough from Small State Provisions--the perfect accompaniment to this hearty stew. We both drank Le Poney Roses, which were balanced and beautiful--a fabulous mocktail that really embodies the spirit of a cocktail. We weren't rushed at all and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Review #900: This…read moreplace looks and feels like a ski lodge nestled on the foothills of Talcott Mountain State Park. The Hublein Tower can be seen clearly. We went on a Saturday (February) afternoon and it was pretty busy but we were able to snag a table. They were playing reggae music, the fire was going, beers/cider/wine were flowing; a fun and chill afternoon. They offer so many beers from all different breweries! I didn't really know what to expect before going and this place was on my "to check out" list. I was pleasantly surprised. I was happy they were kid friendly because we brought our two little ones. I saw some people eating pretzels and we got some delicious buttered popcorn to snack on. The kitchen offers wings, chips/salsas, lobster rolls, bratwurst/kielbasa, burgers, etc. They have food trucks onsite, but when we were there (early afternoon) I didn't see one yet. I can't wait to go back during the summer/fall because their yard looked fantastic. They had a small stage, picnic tables, and fire pits. For recreation, they have disc golf, Cornhole, etc. In the summer, they also serve ice cream. This place will definitely be one of my go to spots to chill!

"In the middle of the night Is that your heart you hear…read moreHave you reached your breaking point tonight?" {The Moody Blues) It's about the same size as your Cumberland Farms or Pride gas station/convenience stores but........it has ice cream! Let's start with the gas station aspect, and I have to admit it is sure nice to have another gas station option in Bloomfield. Break Point has 4 gas islands with two pumps on each island. Today, Regular gas was $3.199 for both cash and credit purchases. The gasoline area is kind of tight, especially when consumers park in front of the convenience store's side door, so be careful pulling up to, or leaving the pumps. Inside, the store is very neatly stocked, and the personnel were super friendly. We made a beeline to the ice cream counter and perused their 28 flavors of hard scooped ice cream. A small dish (4-ounce) was $5.25. If we had gone for a bigger portion, 6-ounce or 8-ounce would have cost $7.25 or $9.25. I decided on a small dish of their PB Chip Swirl, and my wife asked for some Coconut and Banana in her small dish. I'm not sure where their ice crem comes from, but it was excellent. The Peanut Butter, Coconut and Banana flavors really popped! Bloomfield Break Point has a pretty cool social media footprint and a wonderful logo consisting of a sunglasses-wearing hot dog holding an ice cream cone and a cup of coffee in its itty-bitty hot dog hands. Why does the logo feature a hot dog? Well, Bloomfield Break Point promises to have "café-style eats and signature hot dogs". They haven't been open long enough to get the hot dogs up and running, but it will be interesting to see what that future component looks like. We had a very positive visit today.
