Was trying to find a local brewery nearby and stumbled into this place. Very glad I found it! An excellent array of food vendors, coffee bars, and beer/wine/cocktail bars. I picked up a local beer first, ordered lunch, and sipped my drink while waiting for my lunch. I don't have a chance to have Salvadoran food very often, so I ordered a combination platter. Everything was great. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Parking was free, albeit the lot is a weird shape. Washrooms we're clean and well sized. Great for a solo meal or hanging out with friends.

I have been in The Local to take photographs before today, but I've been waiting until I could get a drink with a friend in the evening before reviewing The Local and posting photographs. Mission accomplished. The Local is the bar on the Second Floor of the South Side of the Market. It's new and it looks fresh, with it's wood, bricks and ceiling light strings. I believe this was my first visit on a Friday evening and there were quite a few people, but it wasn't crowded. It was the type of crowd that you might find at a place like Arch Street, which is to say a mix of adults who don't seem like they're looking for any particular type of scene, but want to gather with their friends in a city setting. I ordered a Counter Weight Headway, which is a common beer order for me. It tasted like I expect. The Local also has a process for ordering food from Parkville Market vendors while you're at The Local. After you order, someone will deliver the food to you while you're at The Local. Look for the signs on the tables for details. The Local hosts a number of events throughout the week. I've seen listings for live music, trivia, karaoke. etc. I would definitely meet friends at the local for a meal or happy hour. I've never been at the Market after dark and I can't speak for what that's like. Four Stars.

First time at Parkville Market and The Local and have to say I am beyond impressed! The Local has something for everyone. The ambiance here is so cool- I love the decor and set up. Our bartender was super nice too! I ordered their cucumber cocktail and thought it was perfect! It was a warm day and this drink definitely gave off summer vibes. Very light and refreshing and made with quality ingredients! You can even ask to have your cocktail in a plastic cup so you can walk through Parkville Market. I opted to do this just because I've never been here before but I would totally come back to chill at The Local next time! I can definitely see coming here on the regular! Can't wait to try their other specialty cocktails!

I've been to Parkville Market many times, and have yet to be disappointed by any of the vendors. My most recent trip to Parkville was at The Local, this is their upstairs bar. This is such a fun atmosphere! Here you'll find bingo, karaoke, live music, and such on most nights. The string lights brighten the space and give it a great inviting vibe. You can also order from any of the vendors, and enjoy your food and drink at The Local. I got a delicious Chocolate Truffle Stout from the local Hooker Brewery. This is most certainly not my typical choice. I'm so glad I got it, it was so delicious and unexpected. It is a Munson's chocolate flavored stout. It is smooth, silky, creamy, chocolaty, really delicious and easy. I'm so glad I tried something new. The Local is an easy and fun place to hang out at and relax, while enjoying whenever you choose from the many options at Parkville.

We had a great time last Friday night at The Local! I tried the Smoky Paloma-Organic 100% Agave Reposado Tequila, Mezcal, Agave Nectar, Fresh Grapefruit Juice, Fresh Lime Juice and Club Soda. It was the perfect pre-summer drink. My friend tried the Salted Caramel Espresso Martini- Vanilla Vodka, Mr. Black Cold Brew Coffee Liqueur, Salted Caramel Liqueur and Fresh Espresso with a Caramel Sea Salt Rim. She loved it so much, she had another. They definitely have a really fun craft cocktail menu. The hanging lights really gave it a very fun feel as well. We got hungry and mosied downstairs in search of grub. We scored big with a few bahn mi sandwiches. That was a pretty nice surprise for sure. Thanks, Parkville Market. The vibe is pretty chill at The Local. I think we were there on a slower night, but it did us just fine. We also had an excellent bartender. She made us a dealer's choice shot and it was quite delicious. I'll definitely be back this summer. It's a fun spot. Don't miss it!

Nice atmosphere. It has a good variety of local drafts and is a fun place to go. You can order food from the Parkville market vendors.

I informed you that because my dog is a service animal, she is permitted under ADA to accompany me in all public places. Charlie Brown, who was also at the door, then asked me the appropriate questions allowed under ADA, and after I responded, allowed me to enter the establishment with my service dog. However, after maybe 30 minutes, Mr. Brown approached me and asked that I leave the premises and return without my service dog. I declined this request since my service dog was not misbehaving in any way, barking incessantly or at all, and not being disruptive to any other patrons. After about another 30 minutes, Mr. Drouin approached me with Mr. Brown and demanded that I leave because according to him my dog was too young to be a service animal and therefore must be in training, and I was being disruptive by talking to patrons who asked me about my dog. I informed Mr. Drouin he was incorrect, that my service dog is fully trained to provide the service for which she is required, and the law does not prohibit me from interacting with patrons who approach me about my dog. He and Mr. Brown still demanded that I leave. I was with a group of five other people who all witnessed all of these exchanges. We all departed the establishment at that time. I have filed an official complaint #758150-TWD with the U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division for this violation of 28 CFR Sec. 36.302(c). This violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act can result in civil penalties up to $75,000 for a first offense and $150,000 for a subsequent offense. Despite me informing these ignorant and insolent employees of this, they still demanded that I leave. I will also be filing a complaint with the State of Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities for this violation of CT General Statutes Sec. 46a-44 & 46a-64, which is a class C misdemeanor, which Mr. Drouin and Mr. Brown will be individually charged. I will also be contacting Mr. James Verano, the listed Principal for Pig's Eye Pub, and Mr. William (Bill) Morrissey, the listed Managing Member regarding these federal and state violations. I will also have my personal attorney contact Reid and Riege, PC, the listed agent for Pig's Eye Pub. Being denied service while accompanied by a service animal is illegal, humiliating, and emotionally draining experience that no one should have to endure. What these imbecilic employees did was not only illegal but morally reprehensible.

We were seated at a booth, but quickly moved to the bar where the bartender made our concoctions, chatted with us, and talked about the old distillery that was before the parlor. The aesthetic is still gorgeous, the vibe is still immaculate, and the space feels both cozy and fun. They even have games tucked away so you can hang out longer, which makes it feel like more than just a bar or restaurant. This time I came for dinner and ordered the steak, which was perfectly tender, juicy, and full of flavor. I also tried the lamb (not usually my thing), but my friend who loves lamb absolutely cleared her plate. So that tells you everything you need to know. Even without having a cocktail this time (I just had water), the experience was still great, which says a lot about the atmosphere and service. We also did this fun blindfolded dessert experience where you're blindfolded and try to guess what you're eating. Its super unique and actually really good. I wish they gave us a little card explaining it, but it was still such a cool touch. Between the food, the ambiance, the creative touches, and the overall vibe, this place just keeps delivering. Whether you're going for brunch, dinner, drinks, or a fun night out, this spot is absolutely worth it. I'll definitely keep coming back.

This hidden gem is located on Market Street in Hartford right beside the 960 Main St building. It's a selfie museum and a restaurant all in one. The restaurant menu is small but there are a wide variety of options to choose from. I came for Christmas dinner with friends who were all dining for the first time. I ordered the New York strip with candied yams and mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was a little bland but was still edible. It was my first time trying candied yams and it was so rich, sweet, and delicious. I had my steak well done and it was so juicy. The serving size was also pretty decent as I had leftovers for the next day. For my drink, I had the soho punch which was very tasty and fruity. To be able to take pictures I believe you have to pay for that part separately, however, based on the numbers in our party, they told us we could take pics and you know the model I am, I went around and took photos at nearly all the photo booths. Each photo station has a ring camera with a ring light which makes it perfect for taking pictures especially if you do not have anyone to take your pictures. All the others in my party also enjoyed their meals. They had jerk chicken alfredo, fried whiting fish, salmon alfredo, Buffalo chicken wings, burgers and so much more. They also do paint and aip and will be hosting a New Year's Eve brunch if you are interested.
