I was looking for a good happy hour and this place does not disappoint! It's got food drinks and flavor all for a great price and portion size! Some things to note: Pay is credit card only, so make sure to bring one. Also the happy hour only is 2-5pm tuesday through friday so if you're out saturday through monday find somewhere else unless you want to pay full price. I honestly did not expect the amount of food I got, and I definitely could've gotten a lot less but each and every bite was delicious. I got 2 "demi-croques" which are essentially their elevated take on sandwiches. They were only $9 each and I honestly would have been satisfied with just one had I known what a great portion I would get. And it was a very nice touch that it came with a side of greens as well. Personally i preferred the croque monsieur (the one with ham) over the chicken one but to be able to sample both for a price less than the full sandwich was such a deal. Then, again because i thought it would be too little, i also got the "fries of death" which is their take on poutine. Absolutely delicious! The fries were well cooked but what really sets it apart is the delicious beef bourguignon that comes on top of it. Between that and the bechamel (which it could've had a little more of imo) they were the perfect side, and could really be a meal of their own. The wait staff were all very friendly, and there were plenty of seats both indoors, at the bar, and outdoors so all in all an excellent experience. Tldr; great food, flavor, portions, service, and most importantly price.

If you're looking to dine here on the weekend, I recommend making a reservation! This is such a beautiful restaurant. Everything we had was delicious & the service was fabulous. The steak frites was so so so good! We were obsessed with the potatoes. Can't wait to go back

I've been twice and cannot get over how delicious every single thing is. It's stunning and gorgeous and truly authentic French cuisine

Have been a couple more times and always love this place- so much food and such great quality. Service was a little meh but not for all the wait staff- overall still recommend.

First time here. Sat at the chefs counter. Great vibe and experience. Staff was awesome as was the food. I recommend the mushroom toast and the beef bourg.

Excellent food and service! Each time I went I have been impressed. They also were very accommodating when we had a change in our number on the reservation. With such a small space I really appreciated it. The ambiance is beautiful

I've walked by this place many times but finally decided to give it a try with my partner after making a reservation. We started with drinks, and I had the Cobra Fang, which was very good--off to a promising start. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there. We ordered the seared tuna, which was both small in portion and significantly overcooked. On a brighter note, the gnocchi was a highlight--flavorful and paired with delicious mushrooms and a rich, creamy sauce. For the main course, we had the beef tenderloin, which ended up being the most disappointing part of the meal. The meat was dry, lacking flavor, and honestly reminded me of a basic cookout steak--not something you'd expect at this price point. Overall, the quality didn't match the cost, and I left feeling underwhelmed.

As Dan S said in his recent review " if you are going to open a restaurant in WH you are going to have to bring it" and bring it Le Mazet did. I recently headed there a couple of weeks ago to celebrate some february birthday's (mine included). Trying to find a spot that a group of foodies agrees on can be hard but when I mentioned Le Mazet (that I had yet to visit) - all responded with a resounding YES. I had been missing French cuisine since my visit in November but after visiting I know that I don't have to cross an ocean to get my fix. Everything - from the decor to the food to the staff was top notch. I loved the family style service and the fact that the dishes would be brought out when they were ready - which might not possibly all at once. It took the stress out of "waiting" and allowed us to enjoy the company of good friends on a cold evening. I ordered the Croque Monseur (with an egg of course) and the hubs ordered the chicken - we both raved about our meals although my husband wished the chicken came with a "sauce" All in all a wonderful meal and I can't wait to return as the weather warms to dine "AL FRESCO"

Reserved a spot for an early dinner on a double date, and we went in with high expectations--and it absolutely did not disappoint. Drinks to Start We all kicked off with cocktails, and mine ended up being the crowd favorite. If you're looking for a unique, delicious sip, do yourself a favor and order the Cobra Fang. By round two, everyone at the table had one in hand. It's that good. Starters We began with the sourdough bread--although I firmly believe bread should be complimentary, I'll give them a pass here. It was fresh, tangy, and had that perfect crust. The harissa carrots were a standout. Slightly charred, beautifully seasoned, and served over a creamy yogurt sauce--absolutely divine. Then came the mushroom toast (a special, not on the regular menu). If you see it offered, order it. Two slices of sourdough topped with whipped ricotta and perfectly toasted, hearty mushrooms. This was the unanimous favorite of the night. I could've eaten this alone and left satisfied. Meh Moment We also shared the octopus, which was just okay. Slightly overcooked in my opinion, and while it wasn't bad, it didn't hold up compared to the other dishes. Would skip next time. Main Course The steak frites were stellar. Steak cooked to a perfect medium-rare, paired with crisp, perfectly salted fries (my kryptonite), and served with a velvety peppercorn sauce. A classic done incredibly well. Dessert We sampled a few: Strawberry rhubarb tart - Light, bright, with a graham cracker-style crust. Highly recommend. Coconut crème brûlée - Good, but personally I'm not a huge fan of coconut. Although I enjoyed a few bites, not my favorite. Coffee ice cream - Solid, but nothing extraordinary. If you're saving room for dessert, go with the tart. It stole the show. Final Thoughts From cocktails to mains to dessert, this spot delivers. Thoughtful dishes, balanced flavors, and an atmosphere perfect for a special evening. Don't miss out--especially on the mushroom toast and Cobra Fang

Cheese Plate small

First time here...soft lighting, upscale feel. It reminds me of a French version of Barcelona (the restaurant). The cheese plate has skimpy portions of cheese and bread/crackers. The cheese was not memorable. The wild mushroom small plate was quite tasty, one of the better options we had. The beet salad was ok-beets too pickled. The carrots were meh. I would consider going back but it is not first on my list in West Hartford.

Everything was good, the server was lovely and very very jolly. The service and everything else was good including the food. Except the bone marrow... oh lord do not get that. It just wasn't good IMO

We stopped in for a sister lunch date before catching a movie. Even though we didn't have reservations and the dining room was packed, we were happily offered bar seating or a high top. We chose the countertop seating and settled in. We kicked things off with some warm olives and the bacon apple Brussels sprouts, which were absolutely delicious! We then shared a flat iron steak with a side salad and fries. Overall, the meal was fantastic! While the service started off a little slow, the staff were genuinely nice and friendly. They even shared some info about the pre-fix menu for Valentine's Day, and we're definitely considering it since it looks really promising!

Such a fun new spot. Modern take on small and large plates in French tradition. Young crowd and vibes. Several sharing choices on the menu with great wine selections at surprisingly reasonable prices.

My boyfriend ordered the chicharrones and they came with pico so I took the pico and added it to my tacos and it made them better. For an entree my boyfriend had the chicharrones, a shrimp tacos and al pastor taco. He said all of the dishes were ok. We didn't bother with dessert since everything else was pretty much a miss for us. Service: Wasn't bad, there were only maybe 10 people so they were very attentive and nice but nothing to rave about. THIS WAS NOT THE CASE!!! Food was amazing. Chicken was spiced and fried to perfection. Crunchy without being greasy. I refuse to eat fried chicken in public yet almost human eating this with people around. Juicy meat, 4 piece of half breast, wing, thigh and drummy all meaty. Sides of picked pepper mac&cheese and Cole slaw. My wife tore into that coleslaw like her life depended on it and was everything she's been looking for in a slaw Breakfast burrito was packed full of goodness, substantial. Side of potatoes which could've been a meal in of itself. $19 and well worth it. Brought half home for breakfast the next day. All in all, not only was their value in the prices offered throughout the menu, the food is incredible. Service was amazing. Our server was attentive without being intrusive, good eye for when we needed something without us having to ask. Perfect start to the new year and aching to come back for dinner. It was worth staying home NYE and falling asleep early in order to be fresh and ready for this dining experience.

We were seated by the window and were given freshly baked bread. We ordered the French classics: mussels, escargot, duck leg confit, and steak and fries. The mussels came out first and were pretty average. I usually like sipping the wine broth it comes with or dipping fries/bread into the broth. The escargot had plenty of oil and seasoning. It was actually too salty even though my coworker requested less salt on everything. I enjoyed dipping the fresh bread into the oil. Lastly came the entrees. I was a bit disappointed in both of them. The hanger steak was cooked medium rare like I wanted but the texture was not great. I was hoping for a more tender cut and this was a bit tough and lean. The frites were cooked well and very crispy. The duck confit was very tender but I didn't think it was amazing. Overall I don't think I will be returning to this restaurant with so many other great options around. I might be biased as I am not too familiar with French cuisine but we already sampled most of the classics already.
