These bacon wrapped chicken things (chicken scarpiello) are delicious and addicting. I need about 10. Happy hour at their bar has some great deals.

First of all, reservations online were great. Easy to do and get our friends the information. Service was spectacular. It is nice to be served by happy people. We started with calamari and salads. Those are always a hit. I had the tenderloin marsala which is my favorite here. Others had salmon, pear & gorgonzola pizza and the seafood special. Portions were perfect, enough for dessert! It was just surprisingly empty for a Saturday night, maybe because they close at 9:30, but this place should have a constant line out the door!

This restaurant is much more elegant looking than we thought it would be, it seems dim, but the lights are right over the tables. My white cosmo was delicious. We ordered the bruschetta with fig, the figs overpowered everything else but the bread was nicely crispy. He had the Pesce special which he did enjoy. My chicken ala vodka was delicious, so full of flavor. Our server was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend and we will be back!

First of all, walking in first thing I notice is the foul smell of stool, aka feces aka shit. I suspect either everybody needs to wipe their ass right or the carpet at the door needs cleaning. To be honest the whole placed smells in need of a deep clean. Anyway, I was being hosted and did not want to get rude and decline eating but the stink really had me feeling repulsed. Anyway, who makes eggplant parm with ricotta? This place does. The bread was good. Tiramisu was good. Salad was small for price.

Carbone's was such a gem! I didn't know anything was in this plaza except a liquor store, but apparently it has a beautiful and delicious restaurant! The interior has a lot of dark wood with more colorful but not overwhelming decorations blending in... I imagine it's what eating dinner at a minor counts house would be like. Plenty of parking outside, and at least two rooms of seating inside. The menu is a good size with pasta options. My carbonara was rich and a great portion size - I had some for lunch the next day. The servers were all friendly and although they did check in frequently, were quick and let conversation resume.

Outstanding meal with a large group here! I had the gnocchi and substituted vodka sauce. It was the perfect size and every bite was incredible. The tiramisu was clearly freshly made, my favorite so I'm picky but this was good! Not pictured is the caprese but get it and you won't regret it, the best balsamic I've had in ages. We were a very large party and she did great with our wine orders and food arrived together. Never been here and this place was a treat!

The menu seems to be the same as Carbone's Prime in Rocky Hill, which is fine with me. I enjoyed the atmosphere. The service was great. We went for a business lunch, everyone enjoyed it.

My partner and I decided to give Carbone's a try last night and we were both impressed. We went out with our 11 month old son and had a great experience. I was a bit hesitant because of the overall stars but it appears as though many of their lower ratings were from several years ago. We arrived around 530pm without a reservation and they had us seated with a high chair within 5 minutes. The dining area is spacious with several different sections and the lighting is low with nice candle lights on each table. Our server came to check on us immediately. For drinks, my partner had a long island iced tea and I had the winter spritz which was a mix of gin, cranberry juice, prosecco and lemon. Both were excellent. We started with calamari and baked potato soup. Both were delicious. We loved the peppers included with the calamari. My son enjoyed some calamari as well. They also bring you a nice basket of warm bread and garlic butter which was tasty. The server immediately brought us a kids cup of water with a lid, even though we hadn't asked for it yet. We both appreciated that. They also had provided us with a kids menu. For entrees, we ordered two and shared them. We chose the carbonara and the gorgonzola beef tips with fingerling potatoes and broccoli rabe. Both were super tasty and we were able to share small portions with our son as well. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and will plan to go back. In terms of pricing, for us it's more of a once a month/nicer place to go to. I would definitely recommend to others!

Had not been here in many many years and came for a memorial dinner for a friends mother and the food was great. Came back for dinner and they did not disappoint! I had the calamari and lobster stuffed cod, my father had a wedge and eggplant parmigiana, my boyfriend had the eggplant fries and broccoli rabe and sausage on fettuccini, all was excellent!! We were so stuffed, we took a flourless chocolate cake dessert home that we were awarded for checking in! I called ahead as they were closing in 40 min and it would take 20 for us to get there and they said come on in! Kimberly was awesome and our food came out fast and delicious! Excellent all around!

The aesthetic is still gorgeous, the vibe is still immaculate, and the space feels both cozy and fun. They even have games tucked away so you can hang out longer, which makes it feel like more than just a bar or restaurant. This time I came for dinner and ordered the steak, which was perfectly tender, juicy, and full of flavor. I also tried the lamb (not usually my thing), but my friend who loves lamb absolutely cleared her plate. So that tells you everything you need to know. Even without having a cocktail this time (I just had water), the experience was still great, which says a lot about the atmosphere and service. We also did this fun blindfolded dessert experience where you're blindfolded and try to guess what you're eating. Its super unique and actually really good. I wish they gave us a little card explaining it, but it was still such a cool touch. Between the food, the ambiance, the creative touches, and the overall vibe, this place just keeps delivering. We talk about the Dry Sunrise on our drive home and for days later. While you're sipping on that, absolutely get the fried calamari. With the spice from the peppers, the little bites of the finely sliced zucchini and the perfectly tender calamari it's heaven on a plate. We had went last night and also tried the Caprese salad (we ordered it as an appetizer to share) and our waitress was kind enough to bring it out separated onto 2 plates so we wouldn't have to fight over the last bite of mozzarella (without us even having to ask.) On that note-our waitress last night was spectacular, super on point with filling our waters and checking in. She asked about any allergies or if we wanted any extra proteins to go with our meals. She was aware and helpful and just overall really nice which made the experience even better. Now our main course- pasta! I always get the Garganelli. Salty, savory, cheesy, texturally well balanced. My husband LOVES mushrooms so he goes for the Tagliatelle. He rants and raves about the different mushrooms that go into it and how tender they all are and how flavorful his dish is. The side of broccoli rabe we ordered was delicious as well, buttery and garlicky and cooked to perfection. We went for about 3:15pm. We made a reservation (it was colder out) but it wasn't really necessary. I do recommend a reservation if it was a little closer to dinner time, or absolutely get a reservation if it's warmer out no matter the time. West Hartford is a busy area when the weather allows foot traffic. There is a good amount of outdoor seating. They've also got a bar area for seating, a dining area and a "downstairs" area as well. I did notice some of the tables inside were a little bit close quarters with other tables but that's to be expected when you're trying to be efficient with your space. So, with all that said if you're looking for a good date night spot to have a great drink and some even better food this is your spot. You can come early, walk around the area and check out all the stores and make a day out of it.

They offered a prix fixe menu for the holiday at $89 per person for three courses. As expected for Valentine's Day, it was very busy. The atmosphere felt warm and lively, definitely fitting for a special occasion. I started with a glass of Malbec, and we selected our courses from the Valentine's menu. My Courses Mushroom Tartare - 5/5 Outstanding. The texture, seasoning, and contrast of flavors were incredible. It genuinely gave the richness of a traditional tartare while staying true to the mushroom base. Every bite felt layered and intentional. Brick Chicken with Fingerling Potatoes & Broccolini - 5/5 Extremely flavorful and perfectly cooked. The chicken was seasoned beautifully, and the fingerling potatoes were just as strong. I'm not a big broccolini fan, so I passed most of that along to my wife, but the dish overall was excellent. Mascarpone Cheesecake with Pistachio Nutella A rich, satisfying dessert and a great way to close out my meal. My Wife's Courses She ordered: Tuna steak (first course) Halibut (entrée) Tiramisu (dessert) Her experience wasn't quite as strong as mine. The tuna was undercooked for her preference, the halibut leaned a bit dry, and the tiramisu had a heavier coffee aroma than she expected. Not bad -- just not perfectly aligned with her tastes. Service Given how busy the restaurant was, I didn't expect everything to run flawlessly. There was a bit of a delay before we received bread and water, and our server did forget which desserts we ordered and had to double-check. That said, he was polite, professional, and handled everything respectfully. It felt more like timing issues due to the holiday rush rather than poor service. Overall, no major complaints. My meal was excellent, we even brought some food home, and the evening still felt special. My overall rating: 4 out of 5.

Babe is a cute concept, the interior is all pink with a rose covered wall and plush pink seats. There was no one here, other than the very poorly trained staff, there were no patrons inside or outside. However, both restaurants to left and to the right of Babe were super busy. We decided to sit outside, because it might have been less awkward than being the only ones inside. The chairs were super uncomfortable, they were the very hollow metal chairs without any cushions or padding. The waitress come out with the waters. The waters come in these fancy whiskey glasses with a lime slice and a pink straw. She brought us the QR menu. This is when she informed us that we may only have alcoholic beverages inside. I have never heard of such nonsense in my life. She's telling us this after we got seated. I got the Melon Crush mocktail and my friend got the Cocoberry Bliss. Since I wasn't very hungry, I got the Guacamole. My friend got the three beef tacos. They weren't letting her get an assortment of tacos, they had to all be the same. The mocktails tasted like kid's juice, super sugary and carbonated. Not impressed. The waitress forgot about my guacamole. We waited a few minutes after the tacos came out, then asked her about it. She said she forgot. The tacos were a generous size, they were on a soft shell packed with beef, tomato, lettuce and cheese. These tasted super bland to me. They tasted like they hadn't been seasoned at all. Once my guac has finally come out, I couldn't believe my eyes. The guacamole was in a small dish in the center of a donut shaped plate, surrounded by tortilla chips. However, the chips were super tiny broken pieces, they were obviously the remaining crumbs. The guacamole was very smooth, but again lacked zest and flavor. To say I was disappointed in Babe, would be an understatement. I got the Bali drink which came in the cutest little elephant that had dry ice and a berry skewer. It was sweet and reminded me of a pina colada. There was more in the cup than I thought so I would say their cocktails are worth the price. Everyone's drink lasted them through dinner at our table. I started with the empanadas de lomito, a play on lomo saltado, which were good and very filling. My only thing was that one was a lot saltier than the other. I got El Ganador for my entree which was a flank steak with choice of two sides, I chose rice and sweet plantains. The steak was way too chewy for my liking and the only knife I was given wasn't a suitable option to make my dining easier. I gave up on the steak about halfway through and just committed to packing it away for leftovers. The rice was a good texture but I wish the plantains had been cooked a bit longer. For dessert I got the tres leches which was really great. I can see myself returning soon and trying different things on the menu.
