Yemerica is a perfect spot for both chai and coffee lovers. And the best part is they are open till late. First time we visited Yemerica on Feb 27, 2025. They'd recently opened at the time. After 9 months we went again recently on December 27, 2025. We also brought our friends here after that. Yemerica's menu has expanded big time. They offer so many hot / iced lattes, refreshers, matcha drinks, mojitos, hot Yemeni beverages, fruit mojitos, Frappuccinos, etc. And they've also expanded their food menu. Now they have a wide variety of pastries and desserts to choose from, and bunch of non-sweet food items as well. The cafe is almost full at night / peak hours, especially on weekends. They have an area that can be reserved for meetings, study sessions, etc. They have ample of seating available for all group sizes. The staff is very friendly and patient. They have outdoor patio seating during warm weather and the interior has beautiful hand painted murals. Beverages: I've recently tried and liked their Abu Walad iced latte, Salted caramel iced latte, and Tiramisu iced latte. Adani chai was interesting & worth a try. My partner has tried their kiwi refresher and strawberry mojito. He really liked them both. Our friends tried the hazelnut hot latte, Kunda latte, and honey saffron latte. They were all real good. Food: Bee bites is such an interesting dish, so worth it. Their Treleche caramel was so soft. It melted as soon as the bite hit the tongue. Sabaya was a non-sweet item with just the right amount of honey sweetness. Marook with dates was an interesting balance of textures and taste. Z'atar Manakeesh is filled with flavours of herbs. Cheese pie was fluffy and soft. Their chocolate and tiramisu cakes looked delicious and I can't wait to revisit and try those among so many other things they have to offer. read more

The Abu Walad latte is delicious, and has this great, combo of sweet spices infused in it. If a latte can feel cozy, this is it. The Bee Bites pastry is incredible, too--a slice of slightly-sweet dough with a cream cheese filling, with seeds and honey added on top. Definitely worth checking out! read more

Staff are all friendly and easy to talk to. A friend of mine recommended this place and said that I must try their bee bites which is divine! Mini rolls filled with cream cheese that has been cut in a diagonal sections and drizzled with honey. The sides of the bites definitely make it look like a honeycomb! The chocolate cake was also rich and yummy. Pairing it with coffee is a true delight! While in West Hartford Center, we decided to try the first Yemeni coffee house in Connecticut! We were impressed by the hand painted murals and nice seating options, as well as the bakery case with sweet and savory options. I like to visit as many new and different types of coffee shops as I can. Yemerica is brand new to West Hartford and specializes in coffee and beverages made with "premium" Yemeni coffee. When I visit a Middle Eastern coffee shop, I know they probably don't serve what I almost always drink -- black iced coffee or cold brew. The closest they usually make is iced Americanos, which are essentially iced and watered down espresso. This is true of Yemerica. So I'll review Yemerica for what they are, even though I'm unlikely to return since they don't make what I drink. Yemerica is on the Western edge of WeHa Center. I arrived at 7:40 am and found street parking out front. There were no customers inside. Especially in light of the price point of the coffee and the fact that they just recently opened, I was surprised at the indifference the Yemerica crew showed to my entry. No warm hello or smile. No "is it your first time here? Can we answer any questions?" A lost opportunity to make a positive first impression. The atmosphere inside is a lot better than it first appears. My eyes were first drawn to the area where you order and where they make coffee. That area is more functional. When I visually explored the space, I noticed very cool full wall art of what I presume relates to coffee cultivation and a Yemeni city scape. There is seating to accommodate a number of customers. Some of the seats looked more comfortable than others. Yemen has a claim to being one of the first cultivators of coffee for drinking. You've heard coffee called mocha? It's named after a port city in Yemen that was vital to the early coffee trade. Yemeni coffee is known for its earthiness and richness, and chocolate and spice flavor notes. Yemerica offers a number of beverage types. Americanos made with double shots of espresso. Pour overs. Spiced coffee. Hot and cold lattes. Refreshers. The least expensive hot coffee option seemed to be a 12 ounce Americano for $5.65. The least expensive 12 ounce lattes cost $6.20. The least expensive cold latte was $6.95 for 16 ounces. Since I couldn't get an iced coffee or cold brew, I decided on a 20 ounce Kunafa latte for $8.95, which is made with pistachio puree. The Kunafa latte was very good. With the early sips, I was met with a rich, chocolatey espresso flavor. My later sips featured a delicious milky pistachio flavor. I don't plan to abandon my iced coffee habit or regularly buy coffee beverages at this price, but it did feel like a premium beverage. Yemerica also had pastries and treats. They looked worth exploring. Weighing the service, price, drink quality, the exclusivity of the Yemeni products and atmosphere, I'll rate Yemerica 3.75 Stars, but the service was about 2 Stars. If you're selling premium drinks at a premium price, you need to provide a premium experience. I hope that Yemerica is able to elevate its service game very soon, while they're still making first impressions. read more

I've got mixed feelings about Yemerica. As just about every review has mentioned, it is expensive. I spent about $40 between three drinks and a dessert. I tried three drinks: Iced Interstellar ube latte, passion matcha, and the abu walad. Ironically enough, the abu walad (the only hot drink I got. I'm an iced girl!) ended up being my favorite. Come to find out, the barista switched my drink and I was actually drinking the dolce de leche latte. I get a matcha just about anywhere I go but I do not see myself trying their matcha again. The drink was definitely passionfruit heavy, and overly sweet, which resulted in it tasting more like a Matcha lemonade. On the opposite end of the spectrum, the interstellar Ube latte did not have a hint of Ube in the taste. If it weren't for the purple color, you could convince me that this was a regular latte. I got their Nutella cake dessert which comes in the cutest acrylic box. Although it was tasty, the $10 price point did not feel worth it. The space is beautiful and bright because of their large windows, and I loved the artwork on the walls. Service wasn't really friend. I don't plan to return soon but I think it's worth checking out. read more

I came here the day after Christmas 2024 with a friend and there was a line almost out the door. However, the line moved fast and it gave us time to check out the drink menu board as it was our first time there. We were greeted with a smile and placed our orders. The only negative was that the sun was blaring from a side window right into my eyes as I approached the counter. I had to shield my eyes as I ordered and I noticed others doing the same. A light window covering is needed. We were given a beeper so we could go sit at a table and wait for our drinks. I noticed lovely Middle Eastern music playing at a reasonable level. When our beeper went off, we went to the counter and retrieved our drinks. My pistachio latte with oat milk was frothy, creamy and delicious with a hint of sweet pistachio flavor. My friend was very pleased with her hazelnut latte as well. Both drinks had the typical cute heart/ leaf pattern in the froth. The decor was warm and inviting with various exotic coffee pots on display. It was bustling with happy customers enjoying their drinks and baked goods. We really like this spot for hanging out and good chai. They have a private room you can book which is so great for intimate gatherings. The chai tastes really good and comes with warm cups so everything stays warm. The dessert variety is great, they have cakes and cheesecakes and also baklava. I've tried the pistachio latte and it's good but the adeni chai is best. Note that the prices are quite high for the lattes but I think the chai is a great value. Highly recommend. read more

Yemerica is brand new to West Hartford, they are a Yemeni coffee shop. My mom and I arrived here on Friday afternoon after an early release from work, just before Christmas. Plenty of others must have had the same idea, since it was pretty busy. They had very loud Middle Eastern music playing, it was so loud that I immediately knew it wasn't going to be relaxing sitting here, no matter how good the coffee was. Despite the loud music, their space is pretty nice. Their large windows would allow plenty of sunlight through, unfortunately, the day we were here, it was snowy and not at all sunny. They have plenty of available seating, there's also an additional space in the back, it seems like it's for a meeting with a larger group, due to a bigger table. Their coffee menu is very extensive, each flavor is separately listed as a separate latte. There are some specialty coffee drinks, which sound interesting. Now, their prices are higher than anywhere else in the area. They have a singular latte for as high as $9.50. I go to New York relatively frequently throughout the year, and their specialty coffees at certain coffee houses, are pretty pricey, but I haven't come across one that's more expensive than $8.00. So at Yemerica, I got a Spanish Latte, my mom got a Cappuccino. Together these two were just under $14.00. They also have some traditional pastries and chocolate goodies. The barista said we could sit down, they would bring us the coffees when they are ready. Sure enough, pretty quickly they were at our table. The way he placed them was very aggressive, and one of them had a spill. There was no special art design on either of the coffees. They did arrive in proper ceramic cups, which I always appreciate. My latte was very tasty. I could taste the caramel, it was rich, strong and very foamy. My mom also enjoyed her cappuccino, she just needed a bit more milk, which they added for her. The loud music made it difficult to have much conversation in here. Maybe they could turn it down or off, when it's a full house. While, I did enjoy my latte, I'm not going to rush to return here anytime soon. read more

It's been a while since I've been this disappointed in a business. Upon entering, the cashier doesn't greet you with a "hello" or "welcome" or anything, even when we were the only ones there. She acts like she is being held there against her will. She doesn't have knowledge of any of the products. The Yemeni latte doesn't have a description under it on the menu, so I asked what it is, and she says "it has spices, like cardamom and pumpkin." She doesn't sound sure of herself, and I want to ask what the difference between that and the pumpkin spice latte or the other lattes are, but I just forget it. She proceeds to give me my husband's latte and mine to his, saying their names wrong too, so we just don't know and drink each others' drinks. Mine had an unexpected syrup on the bottom (because it was my husband's) and I ask the barista what it's made of and he says "I don't know. The owners will be here later." Why would I wait for an indefinite amount of time to ask the owners? Why doesn't the barista know the product that he is making? Why is no one trained here? Why are the owners not present during the first couple of days of the opening, especially at 8am? Why is no one coming to the guests and asking how everything is? This happens at Cafe Nerro, Zohara, and any newly opening business. It makes a difference. The lattes are not worth $8-9 each. They taste quite basic. The pastry (the cake, I forget the name) was good. But rather small for $5-6 a piece. There's no music playing, so it's awkwardly quiet. Some light Yemeni music would make a huge difference. They need some blinds because you can't sit in the front half of the space due to the glaring sunlight in the morning. Did they not notice this about the experience of sitting here at that time? It feels like everything was done haphazardly and carelessly. Hiring the right people would be nice. Incorporating some enthusiasm and spiritedness, plus some worthwhile lattes, would make me want to recommend this place. But not right now. It's a bit of an inhospitable mess. New Yemeni coffeeshop in WeHa center that is open most hours of the day, but unfortunately provided me and my family with disgusting coffee when we came to try it. We did get here a little before 8 AM, so it was fairly early and we were the only ones there (and likely their first customers), but the majority of us strongly disliked our drinks. The only exception was my dad, who got their pistachio flavored latte. Personally, I got a Spanish latte, however I don't believe that the barista put the right ingredients in it (at least I hope he didn't). One thing I will note is that be cognizant of when you visit -- I went on a Friday afternoon and the place was packed with a line and almost no seating left. Probably not the best place to bank on for sitting down and doing work. My only concern about this cafe is that it is a little cramped, but otherwise I have only glowing comments. I got a rose refresher which was a delicious caffeine-free option, the place was cozy and had a wide range of drink/sweet options from chai to specialty lattes to matcha. I grabbed some chai here after brunch at Friendly Toast, which honestly was so bland I needed something with real flavor. The chai was amazing: super strong, full of spice, and just lightly sweet. They had a great pastry selection too. I got the pistachio shortbread (maamoul) and it was delicious--really delicate, melt-in-your-mouth, and not too sweet, which I loved. I'm not into super sugary desserts, so it was perfect for me. I also tried a rose dessert that was kind of like a rose-flavored tres leches. Super unique and tasty, though a bit too sweet for me. They had lots of other stuff too--savory spinach and meat pies, plus some really pretty caramel, chocolate, and pistachio treats. The store itself is quite beautiful. Definitely glad I stopped by! I have tried their hot adani chai and their iced kunafa (pistachio) matcha and was very pleased with both drinks. The chai was very well spiced, and the kunafa matcha was smooth and nutty without being too sweet. We went on a Saturday afternoon and it was BUSY, every table was filled but we got our order pretty quickly which was nice - although there was not much standing room.
