I came here for a quick lunch with my husband and daughter. I had the Crème Brûlée Iced Latte with oat milk and the Veggie Sandwich. My husband had the French Press with the Tuna Salad on a Croissant. We also split a Blueberry Blondie, while our daughter enjoyed a Chocolate Chip Cookie. We both liked our drinks, mine wasn't overly sweet, and the food was also really good. I actually ended up making the veggie sandwich at home the following week because of how simple yet flavorful it was. Next time we are in Avon again, we will stop by for another meal! read more

Little bougie location in Avon. Tough to find a parking spot when church is going on, but overall, it's a good place to grab a cup of coffee and relax read more

This place is kind of just a rip. While their coffee and drinks are pretty good, there are so many other coffee places nearby with comparable drinks at a much more appropriate price. Charging extra for alternative milk has unfortunately become an expectation at most places, but charging EXTRA FOR ICE is bonkers! They have such a limited social media presence and never update their website or menu so it's hard to know what to order unless you physically go there. For a place that appears so popular and has such expensive products, I'd expect more from them on a marketing front, especially seasonally. Inside is cute and there is plenty of seating, it's a nice vibe. I can't say this will be my last Dom's coffee experience, but I wouldn't recommend going out of your way for it. read more

We love stopping at Dom's Coffee when we are in the Avon area for their unique coffee drinks. Dom's also serves up many delicious baked goods from large cinnamon rolls to savory scones and breakfast and lunch sandwiches. The shop is cozy with additional outdoor seating during the nice weather. It's always crowded, but the line does move fairly quickly. There is hardly seating available especially early morning and prime lunch time. We usually take our things to-go. One of the things that makes Dom's Coffee stand out is their Charcoal Mocha. It's so delicious and the color is beautiful, perfect for a Halloween/fall treat. The mocha has a rich, but there is a hint of coconut flavor--you don't actually taste the charcoal. Another thing that I like is their tea selection and season tea drinks. During my last visit, I had an Apple Pie Chai which paired well with my Pumpkin Scone. My all time favorite was their Blackberry Mint Chai in the spring. I loved how unique it was and the flavors really worked! My dad really loved their grilled cheese sandwich. It had Swiss, cheddar cheese and he added tomatoes. He says that Dom's makes the best grilled cheese which doesn't surprise me because of the Dom's Cheese shop that is located with the coffee shop. The quality of cheese makes a huge difference. If you are near Dom's and looking for some coffee fuel, give them a try. Their ice cream shop is also next door too. read more

For a coffee shop I thought everything was made super fast considering how busy they were! My latte was ready before I had time to look around for a seat! Cool shop with lots of areas to meet up with friends or to get some work done solo. The weather was still warm so we enjoyed the outdoor patio which had a nice tropical vibe. My salmon croissant sandwich was also very tasty. All in all I would stop by again knowing they are quick. Prices are fair too. read more

I absolutely love a good Affogato. So I decided to pop into Dom's coffeehouse in Avon to try theirs. I generous cup of delicious vanilla gelato surrounded by espresso. $6.50, and easily worth it. Service was quick and friendly. I'll be back! read more

Doms has a great selection of baked goods and delicious coffee and tea choices. Also has a variety of fancy cheeses and European snacks.

I was excited to try this place out due to all the rave reviews and driving by it all the time. I can see the hype! The place was packed even on a Monday around noon. There was outdoor and indoor seating; the cafe had beautiful decor and your typical coffee shop atmosphere. There was a line but it wasn't too bad of a wait. The parking lot was big and full but we found a spot with no problem. The service was quick and friendly. I ordered myself an iced maple latte ($5.30); the perfect sweetness and flavor. My husband had their large cold brew ($4.50) and he said it was great (he's a cold brew connoisseur). We also tried out their cranberry and cream cheese frosting scone ($5.75) and a couple of large chocolate cookies ($4); those were fresh and tasty. If you're not in the mood for coffee, they also have Dom's creamery and cheese! I can't wait to go back to get more coffee and try out their ice cream and cheese. A+ overall. read more

The cutest house transformed into an amazing little oasis. The owners have truly built a spot full of love and that people enjoy coming to. The details and small things Asta and Andrius do to make it cozy is well noticed. Beyond just their food items in house and coffee, they have gourmet cheese options or creamery to stop in at too. They have brought together the 3 best things in life! Plus they streamline specialty flavors across both menus...Their known honey latte & honey latte ice cream, say no more! There are spots to gather at the large tables or individual workstations at the bar, small tables to meet with friends or work quietly. On sunny days, pop out to the patio for dining. Huge fan of all that they have to offer here, you won't be disappointed. Key Features: Seating areas that are louder (gathering spots tables/large community tables), seating areas in quieter room for workspace, outdoor patio seating. Service was fast, staff is very friendly! Their speciality/flavor lattes are of great quality with milk alternatives available. read more

Stopped by Dom's for the first time with friends on our way to the mall, and it did not disappoint. The coffee was incredibly fresh and smooth, and they offered a great selection of freshly baked pastries. Even though the place was packed, the service was quick and efficient. The staff was welcoming, and the vibe was fun and chic--definitely a spot worth revisiting. read more

I've driven by Dom's Coffee multiple times and have always said "hmm, I need to give them a try" and so today was that day. I was impressed by the cozy indoor and outdoor seating and dug the whole coffee house vibe. I was excited to try some good coffee and I was not disappointed. I tried the seasonal blackberry cardamom latte and it was amazing. I don't normally do lattes and this one was delicious. You immediately get the blackberry finished off with the cardamom for a smooth finish. I also saw that they do sandwiches and pastries as well and though I didn't have time to try them, what I saw had me curious to return. There is ample parking in the back which is very convenient. Service was quick and friendly. I enjoyed my quick visit and look forward to returning soon in the very near future. read more

Dom's is a fantastic coffee shop with great food options as well. I've never had anything here (other than the bagel) that wasn't absolutely fantastic. Coffee, sandwiches, cheese, etc.! However, three stars because the bad bagel stands out like a sore thumb (it was literally wet). And because if you order ahead of time you have to wait in the insanely long line that's always here to tell the cashier you ordered ahead. Seems like this system could be greatly improved. read more

Best coffee, best food, best people! Can't recommend them more highly and they do everything for the community --

The place is barely OK. $11 for a sandwich that had 2 pieces of turkey on the full sandwich. Plus there were flies buzzing around and landing on the pastries that are out. That was a hard pass for me. Staff, not the most personable. read more

Love this coffee place and we realized it had been way too long since we made a visit. There are very few coffee shops around the area that are open until 5 pm on a Saturday. We were able to find seating in one of three rooms with seating. Love how there are always a vase of fresh flowers on the tables. It was nice to just relax, drink our lattes and spend time catching up in a such great atmosphere. read more

I loved this coffee shop. There is plenty of free parking. The interior is beautiful and has multiple spaces, including indoor and outdoor, with seating. The coffee was great (I got the blackberry lavender latte, a seasonal, and my brother got an iced mocha). The pastries are not too sweet (got a raspberry turnover). There are also premade food and snacks, like bars, that are good for toddlers. Speaking of toddlers, the bathroom also has a changing table! I felt so comfortable here, and I'd return in a heartbeat. read more

I have moved far enough away that when I return to Avon this is a must go to for me. Charming, cozy but bright European style coffee shop. What a wonderful menu of beautifully prepared tasty breakfast and lunch items. The coffee selection and presentation is outstanding. Dom's Coffee - Dom's homemade Brownie - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Avon, Connecticut

I've been working my way through all the CT coffee places people rave about. Recently, I visited Dom's in Avon for the first time. Dom's is located in a large white house-type building on Route 44. The inside was very nice, as I have heard. On the coffee-side of the business, they have cool products including: (1) coffee beans from nationally respected roasters such as Onyx and Tandem, and beans from CT's own J Rene; (2) OMG gourmet pretzel nuggets; (3) chocolates; (4) high end dog treats; and (5) fresh baked goods. I am a black iced coffee drinker, and Dom's offered a black cold brew made with a J Rene blend. It was pretty good, but didn't really match my preferred flavor profiles for iced coffee. I'm ideally looking for a bright coffee with some fruit notes. The J Rene blend had a darker flavor profile than I prefer. It seemed like it probably came from Central America and/or South America. The coffee lacked my favorite attributes of those coffees as well, but again, it was pretty good and balanced. If I was scoring Dom's just on a black cold brew, I'd have to give them a 4. However, I've been holding back. Dom's has a Cheese Shop with an outstanding selection of cheeses! This curve ball, along with the cool atmosphere and good service, is enough to push Dom's up to the 5 Star range for me. Also, if you drink fancy coffee beverages, I suspect that you would be happy with Dom's. Five Stars read more

Ah, the infamous Dom's Coffee! So happy we were in Avon and could finally try this popular coffee shop. The reviews don't lie...a truly beautiful interior. I wish I lived closer because I would 150% come here to read, work, or catch up with friends over a delicious coffee. We were in a bit of a rush by the time we arrived so I wished we had to more to talk to the staff and see what they recommended, but we went with two lattes...hot & iced. One caramel, one hazlenut. Very good!! They have a ton of syrups to choose from and I wished I experimented with some combos instead of playing it safe with caramel. They also had a bunch of pastries to choose from, along with a cheese shop. So cool! This is definitely a spot to sit and enjoy your coffee. Taking ours to go was a shame but we'll be back! Also shout-out to their branding team because their logo & cups are beautiful and feel very luxurious! read more

Dom's Coffee is such a gem in Avon. They make such divine coffee, and the interior is so beautiful. I only went inside for the first time a few days ago. During the beginning of Covid, you could get a coffee, at their ordering window, and have it outside. You'll get a whole new perspective by going inside. It was pretty busy when I was there, each table had a little bouquet of fresh flowers on it. The tables are beautiful, something I'd like to have in my house. There is so much design detail, and love that so obviously went into creating this space. I got their Harvest Latte. It actually came in a proper cup and saucer, because I was staying inside. It came with a beautiful design on top. I had my my latte at a bar stool by the window. This is where a few people were working on their computers. My latte was so tasty, and so creamy. I can truly say the best I've had anywhere. And that's not just because of the lovely presentation and the beautiful setting. It was sweet just enough, with undertones of maple. I was here by myself. I was able to relax, and enjoy the view of fall out of the window, while sipping on my Harvest Latte. If you haven't already, or even if you have you must go visit Dom's Coffee. read more

Dom's is a gourmet café, specialty cheese and charcuterie shop, and European-style creamery that opened in Avon, Connecticut in May 2015. It was founded by husband and wife Andrius Plankis and Asta Plankiene. The couple are Lithuanian immigrants who came to Connecticut to be closer to Plankis' mother. They then decided to open their own European-style café and name it after their son Dominic. In the United States, most people purchase coffee from a coffeehouse and then drink it on the go. In Europe, most people drink their coffee in the coffeehouse and engage in friendly conversations with the other customers. Following the success of their gourmet coffee drinks, Plankis and Plankiene opened Dom's Cheese in the same building in December 2017. This new division of the business focused on selling high-end cheeses and other fancy ingredients used for making charcuterie. The latest division, Dom's Creamery, opened next door to the café in May 2022 and focuses on gourmet ice cream. I was recently invited to attend an "Influencer Night" at the three Dom's businesses. First, all attendees convened at the café where we were treated to an enormous charcuterie spread that featured fresh fruit, artisanal cheeses, crackers, baked goods, and finger food such as their Salmon Croissant and Egg Salad Croissant. For drinks, attendees had a choice of Espresso Martini, Bailey's Hot Chocolate or Spiked Apple Cider. I chose the latter and it really hit the spot. After the first hour, everyone walked over to the creamery where we could sample any ice cream flavor. I ended up getting two of my favorites: a scoop of Pumpkin Pie and a scoop of Mint Chip in a Waffle Cup. It was excellent! We also were able to sample some delicious hors d'oeuvres such as their Caprese Crepes and Cuban Sandwich Crepes. This was an event for the ages! Thank you to Andrius, Asta, and Watermark Inc. for planning such an amazing event! read more

The food here is wonderful. The baked items are excellent. We came for lunch today. No one else can make a grilled cheese close to this, my son's favorite. The salad is excellent, light dressing and it's nice to have tuna tossed with dressing vs. mayonnaise. A unique version. I usually get a honey latté their signature drink. You will not find a better cup of coffee anywhere. This is a family run business. I always make sure to purchase some cheese whenever we are going to a party to bring an appetizer. Andrius and Asta are very knowledgeable on the types of cheese and pairings. . The line can be long but they do an excellent job keeping service very quick. This atmosphere is that of a European cafe, relaxed, clean and local art and fresh flowers on each table. read more

Best coffee shop in the area, maybe even the state! I have literally been here 100+ times. The workers know my order The shop is absolutely gorgeous and aesthetically pleasing. Theres cute tables and seats that do fill up fast on certain days, but they have a large patio in the summer too. The coffee is real coffee, if you know- you know. They have a large selection of intricate lattes, coffees, and drinks. They can do anything you want! They also have a delicious breakfast and lunch menu- I love the ricotta toast. The best part is the gorgeous variety of baked goods they have on display that immediately draw you in. My favorite is the spinach croissant/roll. The service is WONDERFUL. Everyone there- even through the changing staff over the years- all have been a delight. They take care of you, and keep the shop clean and perfect. Also check out their cheese shop which is in the same building and the creamery right next to door! Doms is a gem. There was a little outside area for people to have their coffee and I was surprised see all of those tables were full while it was freezing out.
