    Classic Flight (Tea and Coffee)
    Tiffany B.

I love this place! The coffee shop itself is a very cozy spot to hang out and catch up with some old friends or to enjoy with your family. They have tables and chairs inside the shop as well as picnic tables outside to enjoy your coffee or tea during a nicer day. The service is great and the baristas are very friendly. They make the coffee (or flights) very quickly even during the lunch rushes. I would highly recommend the flights. It consists of a tasting of all of their coffees or teas, and they even have speciality flavors coinciding with the seasons. The last specialty flight I tried was the summer flights (both coffee and tea) and they were both amazing! Super sweet and refreshing flavors with fun toppings such as Fruity Pebbles and Swedish Fish. I do suggest sharing because it is a lot of caffeine/beverage to consume, though I heard the barista will provide to go cups if you request them.

I went to meet a friend recently at The Roasted Bean. They have such creative flights of coffee here, but we didn't get any this time. I got the toffee crunch latte. My friend got the same but gluten free. I love how they accommodated her, and made sure she could have a breakfast and a tasty coffee, both gluten free. For breakfast I got the Berry Sweet Pancake Bowl! Anything can be a bowl these days. This was miniature pancakes, with raspberries and blueberries topped with syrup and chocolate chips. These were some of the largest raspberries I have ever seen. I'm curious to know where they source them from. Yum! Such a delicious breakfast! My friend's options were limited, but they made her a scrambled egg with potatoes and avocado. She enjoyed it! This is a very cute coffee shop, with so many coffee flavors, it might take you a while deciding on what to get. I wish they had more options that are gluten free.

What a very busy cafe! Even though they have a steady flow of customers, the wait to order isn't that long. If it were, I recommend ordering ahead through the app "joe." And there is a counter inside for pick up orders. They also call out your name and bring you your food or you can meet them by the counter. I particularly like the dish-ware when eating inside. I however miss having a mug for my coffee. Although I was eating indoors, I was provided a paper cup. The coffee flight is a good variety. I would very much prefer hot beverages be in a ceramic cup versus a glass cup just to retain the heat a little longer as there are 5 cups. I just find that I am here to enjoy and not take a shot. The pancake bowl was so good. I wish there was a layer of fruit underneath as well because I ate the ones on top so fast that I ran out of fruit for the pancake bites on the bottom. The crowd was quite loud so I and others in our party had to bring our voices up an octave. Be prepared to bring some sort of headphones or earphones if that type of thing bothers you. Otherwise, service was great! I look forward to coming again and trying other things on the menu.

Met with one of my friends this weekend and tried a new coffee shop not far from both of us. Easy drive. I was excited because The Roasted Bean is known for their coffee flights. So I was already thinking of sharing one and trying these delicious Fall flavors. But .. my possibilities were torn apart. The Roasted Bean wasn't gluten free friendly at all. Out of all the coffee flavors they had I only was able to choose from 2. I'm Thankful I was told what I was able to have. Eat and drink. It's the syrups that have GF in it. They do have Gluten-free bread and you can make a breakfast bowl with eggs. But they also have other variety of bowls and you can make your breakfast sandwich. The bowl wasn't bad. The eggs were like pre made and then it looked like they are warmed up.. That's what it tasted like. Not freshly made. The coffee was good and the pastries I couldn't eat looked delicious! It is a small coffee shop located in a plaza next to a couple businesses. It's very cute inside , our orders came out fast and staff was very helpful and friendly.

The coffee flights are the best menu item! So fun to share this with a friend or loved one, each coffee is distinctly different and made with care by the awesome staff! Also, the WiFi works really well, and people come here with laptops a lot to work so if you're looking for a new work from home spot, this is a lovely choice!

Sausage egg and cheese on a plain bagel

Decided to try The Roasted Bean after a few people suggested this local coffee spot. I would like to start by emphasizing the staff was great, friendly, and quick in their service. A overall very nice cafe vibe with lots of seating and a cozy feel. My order was ultimately what made this trip so disappointing. When I go to coffee/ breakfast spots I always try a speciality latte and a very straight forward sausage egg and cheese on some kind of bread. It's the easiest breakfast sandwich to order and, for me, the easiest menu item to compare to other establishments. What I ordered today came in very lack luster as I opened my breakfast sandwich to find it undercooked and underwhelming. The bagel didn't taste fresh and was very dense, not sure if they make bagels in house, have them store bought, or if they get them from a local bagel shop. The sandwich itself was not cut in half and the eggs tasted like they came frozen. Definitely nothing compared to other shops I've been to in the area. The coffee itself was ok but nothing I would come back for. From what I gather this coffee shop is more know for their coffee flights however, I would still choose other shops in the area who excel more in their variety options. There's not much choice in house for gluten free so I wouldn't be able to bring a lot of friends who are celiac intolerant and most of the speciality coffees don't come with the options for dairy free. Overall, a very unsatisfying morning based on the food. The coffee itself was again ok, but nothing memorable to come back for.

The cutest coffee shop on the Terryville/Bristol line! The coffee flavors are both unique but classic, they have food, teas and smoothies for anyone not interested in coffee. The food is great, never been unhappy with any order I've received. The staff are all pleasant and work really hard. Underrated place! The decor is also so beautiful and ambient.

A favorite of mine! First time in their new location, super spacious & cute! All the drinks were great, especially the pumpkin biscotti, had to get a large before I left! Friend also bought macaroons which were adorable and tasty! Food was delish, maybe some breakfast/lunch specials would add a nice touch (unless I missed them?) regardless - great ambiance, great service, & good vibes!

This is not just a coffee spot in Bristol. It is filled with a ton of breakfast options. Served to go or in-house, they have a variety of fresh breakfast sandwiches, pasteries, parfaits, smoothie bowls, and oatmeal bowls. I chose the bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel, and it was perfect. Toasted just right and filled with bacon, I was completely satisfied. My daughter had the smoothie bowl with coconut, blueberries, strawberries, and granola topped with Nutella, and that was also delicious. The service was friendly and accommodating even during the busy morning hours. I'll be back to try the breakfast sandwich on the croissant. It looked so good!

This was my first time here. The food was very good, especially the breakfast croissant that my son got. It was fresh, soft and flaky. They had a huge variety of frappe flavors, which I have never seen before some examples were pistachio cream and unicorn. Everybody was very friendly. There is space for you to sit and relax, hang out with friends or even do some homework.

I had the day off so we took a trip to Bristol CT. I love an iced coffee or iced latte all year round so Im always looking for a spot to add to my collection here on Yelp. Of course I found out about The Roasted Bean via Yelp. The shop itself is on the smaller side with ten spots to sit. The decor is cute with some signs and cool lighting. Its not a Starbucks type spot where you can hang out with a laptop. I would suggest going on an off hour so You can sit and enjoy. My husband and I shared a sausage, egg, and cheese on an english muffin. Im a diabetic so I needed protein before the yumminess. There are two options for a flight a traditional one, then a holiday one (my guess is there are other options as the seasons change). Your also able to have the flight hot or iced. I chose an iced holiday flight. Normally Im not a Chai or Gingerbread type of girl. However, I actually liked the Gingerbread Chai best, then the Cookie Dough next. My least favorite was the maple latte. I normally love the taste of maple. I cannot wait to go back and try the options for flights as they change!

Here again while I wait for my son to finish a class. Ricotta toast with honey & blueberries is amazing! Too much for one person, a good thing to share with a friend. Beautiful day out today, and accordingly I chose a cold beverage. Toasted almond frappe is outstanding! I usually prefer my coffee strong with only cream or a cappuccino, but this is delicious! Great place to sit and read for a little while you eat!

    Summer and coffee flights

The Roasted Bean is one of my favorite cafés in CT! I'm not a huge fan of coffee, but their drink flights are seriously amazing. The flights consist of five drinks served in small glasses (a variety of coffee, teas, matcha, blushes, etc.) on a wooden board. They have one "standard" coffee flight, and one seasonal one to choose from. A note on the drink flights- they stop making them an hour before closing time, which is not posted anywhere that I could find. I didn't know this until I showed up at about 2:10 PM on a Saturday (they closed at 3 PM) and the employee told me they were all done making drink flights for the day. I ended up going back the next day and ordering one, it was still worth it! The food is also very good- I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese on a bagel and it was delicious.
