I eat here a ton- some of my go-tos are the New York State of Mind (everything bagel loaded up with cream cheese, smoked salmon and capers), the avocado toast with balsamic drizzle and a soft boiled egg- so yummy. Their shakes and bowls are great too. We really enjoyed the salads we've had. I've tried maybe one third of what they have to offer. They're well known for their vegan friend "chicken" and vegan "chicken" specials. Their sister spot is down the road (Parkside Cafe), this is definitely the healthier / more health conscious option. (If you want French toast or corned beef hash- you gotta go to Parkside- which is delicious as well. Service is always quick and the restaurant is always very clean. M's is a small breakfast and lunch spot with seating for about 10 people, but takeout seemed to be the focus. The atmosphere was fine, but not a selling point. More functional than nice. The service, however, is a selling point. They were friendly and efficient and comfortably interacted with any regulars that come though. I was impressed by the hustle of the two person team. I ordered a Hazelnut Black Iced Coffee, which I believe was an Omar roast. Smooth and got the job done. I also ordered a bacon, egg and cheese on a sesame bacon bagel. It was tasty and very well executed. Lots of well cooked bacon. The egg was fried just right. The bagel was substantial and had good texture. The American cheese was well melted. Magpie's definitely seems like a good place to stop for a quick takeout breakfast or sandwich. I also saw the cook was working on a big pot of fresh soup, 4.5 Stars

Although a scenic drive to Bruno's, it is completely out of the way for me, but I wanted to try them. This cafe is small, and very busy. They have some seating options, but all the seats were taken. They did have some tables and chairs outside, and it was a pleasant day to sit outside. Their milk is sourced from Arethusa Farms, one of the best, if not THE BEST local dairy resources. Their menu is large with coffee, tea, refreshers, including pastries, breakfast and lunch options. On this trip we got coffees. I got Nova's Nutella Latte, the others got a mocha and Kiwi, Mint & Lemongrass refresher. These were all very pricey, I was a bit taken aback. Each drink was between $9.00 and $10.00. Maybe it's because of the locally sourced milk, I can't think of another reason. My Nutella Latte was very chocholatey and very tasty, but my cup was also filled with ice all the way to the top. The refresher was very sweet, but a unique combo of flavors and pretty refreshing. The mocha was solid. Overall, maybe I got the wrong things at Bruno's, but I can't say I was super impressed, especially at such a high cost.
