My husband got the taco salad with walnut/quinoa meat. He absolutely loved it. My son got a peach berry smoothie which he said was very good but definitely long on the berry and short on the peach. Parking was easy and the service was friendly. Only giving it four stars because lunch for three people was $70. That felt a bit steep. read more

I picked up lunch here three days last week. It was outstanding every time! I appreciate that they have lots of vegetarian options for me. The first day I tried the Buddha Bowl which included hummus, avocado slices, pico, carrot, cuke and corn on a bed of quinoa. Everything was fresh and delicious! The next time I tried the 457 bowl and added seasoned tofu. This had black beans, avocado, jalapeño, corn, tomato and a lime wedge over romaine. Outstanding! I also got a small hot Thin Mint latte- Yum! A small was more than enough by the way. The third time I ordered online. I got the Tex Mex bowl with added quinoa walnut "taco meat" and added tomatoes. I think this was my favorite! It was filling and so fresh! I also ordered a small hot "Samoa" latte. So good! I'll be back next week to try more vegetarian items! Just like the sign says! 5 star, would eat here again. Fresh, fast and delicious food at Pure Foods in Bristol. I ordered the honey stung chicken wrap. It was full of flavor and filled with lettuce, grilled chicken, tortilla strips, cheddar cheese, corn, black beans and drizzled with bbq sauce and ranch. The chips were homemade and were yummy. My daughter got the Açaí bowl with strawberries, bananas and Nutella and loved it. The staff was pleasant and the food came out so fast. We had options to sit inside, or outside on the sidewalk/walkway. There was additional outdoor seating on the side of the building too. I loved how big the menu is and how there is something for everyone including vegan options. Healthy is hard to find and this is quite the gem! read more

The new location is really nice with indoor and outdoor seating. My husband and I both got the chicken Caesar wrap in which we were very disappointed. It was literally a tossed salad with small pieces of chicken and croutons dredged in Italian dressing (not Caesar) in a wrap. The dressing was pooled inside the wrap. I love pure foods! The online ordering and pick up is amazing and convenient. It's the perfect place to pick up lunch. I spend a lot of time in my car so it's nice to have a healthy option for a quick lunch on the go instead of fast food. The staff is so nice and accommodating. I'll keep this brief. This place is a refreshing reprieve from the multitude of fast food restaurants on North Main Street and seems like it would be nicer to dine in. They have vegan options but sometimes run out of entrees. At the moment they have online ordering and take out only, with some outdoor seating on the sidewalk. To be honest it's not the most comfortable place to sit, especially on a hot summer day. I came here twice a couple of weeks ago and the first day it was fine. I had a smoothie and they were slammed by the lunch rush, but got me on my way within 8 minutes. The second day I wanted a more substantial meal and ordered the vegan tuna, but they were out and offered the beyond burger instead. They warned me that there would be a wait, but when they were done gave me a barely cooked burger. It wasn't even hot. I have been vegan for over a decade and have cooked beyond burgers on my piece of trash electric stove, so I know that a commercial kitchen with all its BTUs can get something crispy and browned given time. Unfortunately with the lunch rush they forgot the basics and served food that was not properly prepared. After a brief back and forth they did give me a refund hence the extra star but they really disappointed me. Hopefully now they have tightened things up and are doing better. read more

I've been eyeing this place for a while during my walks in downtown Bristol, so one morning, while waiting for an appointment, I finally made a trip to Pure Foods. The aesthetic is rustic and cute, which the business does a good job portraying through their current (and I'm assuming likely temporary) order/pickup window-only business model. There's some kitschy benches to sit on while you await your food. I figured, 'someday when I have more time, I'll order a smoothie or something to eat and wait on that bench, but today, all I really have time for is a coffee.' and went up to the door to order my coffee with almond milk, no sugar, & paid with my debit card. They have a modern card processing machine with tablet touchscreen, which is nice, and definitely gives a small business a more professional feel. So, I was waiting for my coffee. It was maybe 8:30 am, a typical time people get coffee in the morning. One customer shows up. Then two. Then comes a third. One ordered something, and the other two picked up items. I watched all three of their transactions and had enough time to sit on the bench, get bored of the bench, and pace around some more, all until my coffee was finally done. I ordered a hot coffee with almond milk and I got a HOTTTTTTTT coffee with almond milk, and the cup was super hot with no coffee sleeve or, at a minimum, a napkin wrapped around it. I want to try more things from pure foods when I have more time. I really don't understand why it took so very long to get a simple cup of coffee, though. The taste was alright, but nothing incredibly special that seems it would justify the time it took to make. The worker who helped me was super friendly though and I look forward to coming back and hopefully amending my review in the future, just not sure when. read more
