My kinda cafe! I…read morelove visiting cat cafés and it's so great to see them popping up across the state more frequently. I bought tickets for me and my mom online and getting into the cat café was very easy. Plenty of parking is available and the café portion of the storefront looks right into the cat room. There were enough cats for everyone inside to find someone to play with, even if some of the little friends were tired. You must take your shoes off to go into the cat room, but if you dont have socks, there are some available for purchase. Definitely will return soon!

However, the owner was rude to us because my mother couldn't hear well, and my mom had a few questions that are just common questions coming into a cat cafe, but when answered by the owner of all people none the less, rolled her eyes a few times and snapped back with the answers. My mom is elderly, and with dealing with customers, you shouldn't have such a poor attitude. It makes you turn away from what should be a good experience, especially when interested in adoption, to a negative vibe all around. You don't feel very welcomed coming into the place. You automatically want to try a different adoption and rescue place, which makes you feel bad for the cats. The concept is great as far as cat cafes go, but it was just unpleasant being there even when all you want to do is sip on a coffee and look at the cats in the meantime, whether you plan to go back to meet the cats or just support a local business.

I tend to swing by Thursday nights for trivia, but I've also been plenty of times during normal board game hours. This place offers plenty of fun events, in addition to a huge variety of board games. Not only that, but they offer a plentiful selection of coffees and teas, as well as frequently-changing specials that never disappoint! This recent visit, I attended trivia and I purchased a tea flight. 4 full cups of tea for a very reasonable price!! They can do any 4 flavors and ask about your preferences, so I told them I wanted to try unique/quirky teas. They did not disappoint!!! I was given 4 teas, 3 of which I purchased full supplies of immediately afterwards. Their lychee lime tea was one of my favorites--fruity with a strong and distinct lychee flavor, which was great. Chocolate chili tea was so unique, it reminded me of Mexican hot chocolate. Mountain Squall was a delicious chamomile with some minty refreshing notes, and finally, Volcanic Inferno was insanely unique and interesting! It's a strongly smoky, delicious tea that reminds me of a smoked whisky. These teas were not only delicious, but EXACTLY what I had in mind when I asked for unique teas! The cafe is so good that I'd come here for that alone--it's a bonus that there's also so many lovely games to play! There were plenty of bags of tea to purchase (I wound up snagging bags of Mountain Squall and Volcanic Inferno for home), as well as some other cute board game merchandise and snacks. The game variety is amazing. While I'm typically there for trivia, there's SO many fun game options. They also run activities pretty much every night--Thursday Trivia, Sunday Blood on the Clocktower, Sunday Dread, Friday Beginner DND, etc. There's always something to do! I love coming here and I am ecstatic to have a board game cafe so close to home for me. I certainly recommend that if you're considering coming by here, you should swing by and try it!

The price is unbeatable, $10 for entry to play over 1000 games, and the beverages are yummy! My favorite thing to order is one of their monthly flavored lattes and a cinnamon roll or piece of coffee cake. Plus, there are daily events/games, so there's always something new for me to try. Lastly, the service is unbeatable: everyone is kind, personable, and treats you like a valued guest. I 100% recommend trying out this very fun and unique cafe!

This is definitely not the case at the Main Street Board Game Cafe! The $15 entrance fee makes perfect sense to me... as they have a great variety of games in surprisingly immaculate condition, and very knowledgeable staff that are happy to explain how all of the games are played. The staff are really what set this cafe apart from others like it. Learning the rules from an expert is what makes complicated strategy based games less scary and more fun!! Everything is also very clean and well maintained, and the food is tasty. Definitely not the fanciest or most complex stuff on the menu, but who's coming here for the food anyway? They make a yummy grilled cheese, and some really good strong espresso based drinks. They have a great selection of teas from the clipper ship tea company as well.

I cannot believe they don't serve hot food starting around 8:15pm and they close at 11pm. They only have cold items like hummus and veggies and sweets. And apparently, no outside food. Definitely a place to avoid if you want to eat a meal and play games after 8pm. It's not fun to play on an empty stomach!

I love their Fall Apple chai from last Fall, this Fall they have a Caramel apple chai which is very good. Their banana bread latte is very popular among my friends. I love their butterfly pea tea / lemonade. I eat here a ton- some of my go-tos are the New York State of Mind (everything bagel loaded up with cream cheese, smoked salmon and capers), the avocado toast with balsamic drizzle and a soft boiled egg- so yummy. Their shakes and bowls are great too. We really enjoyed the salads we've had. I've tried maybe one third of what they have to offer. They're well known for their vegan friend "chicken" and vegan "chicken" specials. Their sister spot is down the road (Parkside Cafe), this is definitely the healthier / more health conscious option. (If you want French toast or corned beef hash- you gotta go to Parkside- which is delicious as well. Service is always quick and the restaurant is always very clean. They're very friendly and consistent here. I've never ordered anything I didn't like and all my friends have been big fans.
