We made an appointment for 1:30. We watched two food deliveries occur, it was clearly lunch time. I asked at 1:50 how many appointments were ahead of us. The secretary found a tech who saw us at 2:25. We continued to wait with our cat, listening to other cats protest thier treatment, until the vet came into the room, at 1:55. She hardly acknowledged how long she made us wait. We paid the bill, at the end of the appointment, we did not make them wait to get paid. This is not the best choice of care. I can see 20 minutes late, not 55. Find a better veterinary option, one that cares for you and your animal. read more

Absolutely disgusting behavior. This clinic is listed as urgent care. My 15 year old dog fell off the sofa and hurt his arm and side. I called this vet at 6:25 to let them know we were on our way. This receptionist had the audacity in a condescending manner to let me know that they were seeing their last patient now and were leaving. At 6:25!! Their office is open until 8pm. When I said that she again whined in my ear that they weren't a 24 hour clinic and I would need to go to Middletown. AGAIN I mentioned that their website says their hours are until 8pm and she doubled down and said not only are they closing shortly but they wouldn't see him for an X-ray anyway, they aren't an urgent care and an X-ray requires an urgent care clinic. Since when are you not urgent care?! I asked her to please check with the vet, I was trying to avoid going to central because I had to put my 17 year old dog down there New Year's Eve and last Wednesday I had to put her 16 year old best friend down there. Her tone didn't change, there was no compassion and she whined again that they were seeing their last patient at 6:30 and leaving. SHAME ON YOU. You're an urgent clinic. I'm sorry you wanted to go home early tonight and my senior dog hurting himself was an inconvenience to you. DO BETTER read more

I needed to bring my dog in for an emergency visit. I called ahead and the staff was waiting for us when we arrived. Everyone (I interacted with three people) was professional and compassionate. Fortunately, there were no other patients and we were able to be seen immediately. All of the staff showed so much care. Dr. Johnson gave me clear instructions for aftercare and what to watch for, and was reassuring that his prognosis was good. Even when we left the technician gave me a blanket and puppy pads for my dog to lay on and helped me to get him into the car. read more

We were visiting Connecticut this past weekend, when my dog (Marty) received an injury while on an escalator. Lesson learned... We called ahead to make sure they were open and they knew we would be coming soon. The receptionist met us curbside and took Marty straight in to see the doctor. By the time I got inside, Marty was already in the back being worked on. I was covered in blood and the receptionist provided towels and offered me a room to clean up in. Dr. Holdmeyer placed a tourniquet around his leg to stop the bleeding, cleaned the wound, stitched and bandages him up. Marty has two broken nails and a cut on his toe pad. We were lucky it wasn't worse. Jess was amazing with Marty! She was calm, efficient and always communicated to us Marty's status. Dr. Holdmeyer, Jess, Tracey and the rest of the team did a fantastic job! I cannot thank them enough for taking such good care of my baby boy! read more

My kitten was seen Friday at the urgent care for stomach issues. He was prescribed two different medications, a probiotic for five days and an antibiotic twice a day for a week. This morning, we realized that there were only enough doses for two more of the antibiotic. We called urgent care to clarify if we received the wrong dosage or were given the wrong directions. The receptionist proceeded to tell my boyfriend that he was overdosing our kitten and that they had give us more than enough medication. Meanwhile, they had only given us 7 doses (enough for three and a half days not all 7 day). Upon calling back, they allowed us to pick up more of the antibiotic. However, they never apologized or admitted that it was their fault that our kitten wasn't provided the correct amount of medication. Not only was this a scary situation as our kitten hasn't been feeling well, but infuriating since we were blamed for something that wasn't our fault. We will never be coming back to any of the Pieper Vets considering our treatment while at the urgent care and over the phone today. read more

The services at Pieper are excellent and that's why I keep coming back. I trust the care and advice of the doctors. Phone wait times, even if you press the button for Emergency needs, are up to a half an hour. That can be very exasperating when you believe your pet is experiencing a major problem. Wait times for service upon arrival is likewise very, very lengthy. When your pet is obviously having physical symptoms of an unknown origin, it's hard to wait several hours for assistance. Sometimes, upon arrival at the parking space at the clinic it takes a long time to reach someone on the phone just to check in. I'm sure it's because it's busy, but then perhaps staffing should be considered? Not sure. The wait times is probably the #1 problem and frustration I have with an otherwise well-run hospital with a talented staff of caring professionals. I feel that I can rely on the advice of the veterinarians and that their care is the right care for my pet's issue. read more

We had an emergency situation and needed all 3 of our dogs at the same time treated for ingesting poison.Dr. chris liguore and the vet tech were amazing.
