Really good deli with great prices! Quick pick up and ordering. We got a huge & tasty salad, and a filling sandwich with a side of chips. Definitely will return for lunch again another day.

There are places that you try to visit for weeks or months, and it seems like you'll never get there. Then one day, the stars align. You find yourself standing outside, with your hand on the door handle. The Cooking Company was my unattainable. The Cooking Company specializes in prepared and ready to cook meals, but they also have a great selection of desserts. My husband was home sick, so my son and I wanted to grab some chicken noodle soup for dinner. We called around to a few of our favorite places, with no luck. We decided to hit a place on Main Street. We found a parking spot on the street, not too far from our destination. Fortunate for us, the awning of The Cooking Company caught our attention. We made a b-line for the door. An employee greeted us as we walked toward the display cases. Of course the first case was desserts...my son was already drooling. As luck would have it, their soups for the day were split pea and chicken noodle. As the soup was ladled into cups, I browsed the remaining cases. There were so many choices; Brussels sprouts, chicken, fish, potatoes, salads, appetizers and more. Definitely a place that you could find something for everyone. There are menus by the cash register (not online). Currently there is a Super Bowl special menu. There is typically one offered for the holidays. The next one will be for Valentine's Day. We took our soup and desserts home to enjoy. The soup tasted like something your Grandma might make. There were a ton of veggies and chunks of white meat chicken. My only complaint was that the noodles practically melted in my mouth. The desserts (both under $5), were extraordinary. I was drawn to the Chocolate Peanut Butter Mousse. A hard shell covering layered chocolate and peanut butter mousse with and thin, cake-like base. My son went for the prettier Raspberry Chocolate Tart. Both were amazing and much more than either of us could finish. I am so glad that we stopped in, and I cannot wait to go back.

We were walking along Main Street on the way back to our car when I spotted the sign for this establishment so we stopped to see what was available in the way of prepared food. There was an amazing number and variety of salads and many desserts. I was a bit hesitant to purchase an entree out of concern for freshness since there was only one of each. We did end up purchasing a lasagna that was pretty good though we have had better. Another purchase was gazpacho that not only looked fresh, but was both fresh tasting and delicious. My only problem with The Cooking Company is its distance from our house - too far.

It was a hot summer day when I stumbled upon this little gem! I was on Main Street in Middletown with some time to spare before an appointment and as I was driving by I spotted this little spot and decided to give it a try. Setting: Beautiful hardwood flooring with 2 eat in areas. One in the front and one in the rear of the shop. Nice lighting with soft music playing and a very relaxed zen vibe is what you will get at The Cooking Company. Service: The servers were friendly, attentive and efficient. My server took his time letting me decide what I wanted to try and gave great suggestions. Bright smiles and great convo from everyone. Food: seriously the BEST part. They have a vast selection of pre-prepared dishes with meat and non meat options, salads and sandwiches if you want to grab and go or what to grab for lunch or dinner the next day. Everything that is ordered in the shop is made right in from of you with super fresh ingredients. I ordered the Signature salad and the apples that went into the salad were cut right then! The salads are huge and can literally fill 2, maybe even 3 people and it was only 9 bucks! I tried the homemade Raspberry Lemonade and seriously went back to get another before I left because it was so good! If you want good clean eats made with fresh ingredients, a quiet spot to grab a quick lunch or dinner, please try the Cooking Company, you won't regret it. I will definitely be returning to the Cooking Company. I can't wait to try the desserts.

So many fresh, healthy and tasty options! There is a case full of prepared foods such as roasted vegetables, kale salad, eggplant Parmesan, spinach and tomato polenta, etc...as well as suggested salads and build-your-own salads. Good sandwich selection too. The salad portions are huge! We went in the evening a little before closing so it was not very busy. We sat and ate in the nice seating area in the back. Service was great-they didn't even rush us when we lost track of time and sat for a few minutes past closing time! My understanding is they will start offering soups soon! Perfect for fall/winter. I will most certainly be back very soon!

Mine was chocolate and peanut butter mousse!!

My mother and I had about a half hour to burn and a desire for dessert. We arrived at The Cooking Company roughly a half hour before the closed and were greeted warmly. The restaurant was clean, bright, and welcoming. My mother and I went right over to the dessert case with wide eyes. Everything looked so good! My mother selected the chocolate mousse and I selected the chocolate/peanut-butter mousse. They were so rich and delicious but we should have split one because we each only ate half of ours before we had very satisfied "sweet tooths". We also both got coffee and even a half hour before they closed the coffee was really good. The restaurant also had a bunch of prepared food which I couldn't be less interested in, I do not like to reheat food like that. I would definitely go back for coffee and mousse when in the area!

Probably one of the coolest ice cream experiences that I've had. For those who don't know, Nitro Cream & Crumbz makes there ice cream for you on the spot using Liquid Nitrogen blenders. It essentially freezes the mix on the spot. A cool process that yields much creamier ice cream (that I read and in person confirmed). This isn't just your typical ice cream scoop and plop experience. During the experience, cool smoke from the liquid nitrogen fills the area as they stir your selected ice cream flavor. The process of the employees adding the ingredients is done all within your line of sight for a full investment into your delicious treat. The flavors are FUN and the end result is visually appealing to eat. I myself got the HOLY CANNOLI which had Riccota vanilla ice cream, crushed cannoli shell, dark chocolate and white chocolate chips wrapped in a spongy bubble waffle. It was delicious and creamy (as you hope from doing your homework on Liquid Nitrogen ice cream ). The staff were extremely friendly, bubbly even and helped explain popular options for a first time Nitro ice cream eater. Best part of this whole thing is having so many other great flavors left to try on my next trip. Highly recommend and prices are VERY reasonable (some might argue a little low for the experience you get).

Today a group of Yelpers met here before our street clean up and had our breakfast outside. They had options from the bakery window such as donuts and bars, muffins to breakfast sandwiches and bowls. However, my fellow Yelpers that did choose breakfast sandwiches..ohhh my they looked amazing!! The bread was so bread, it looked heavy , home made and nothing like a fresh made sandwich. It's located near Main Street in downtown Middletown. The shop is cute and service was exceptional. CRB sells desserts, baked goods, bread and made to order cakes. Although I posted a pic of 3 year old Lila's birthday cake, it was not my cake and I wasn't invited to the party. Lila apparently didn't think I was cool enough. Maybe next year. Very cool cake though. I would want one of my friends or family members to have a cake that cute. I also did not have one of the Super Bowl team color cake push pops. I tried to order one, but they were only displayed for pre-sale. They looked great though. We did order a turtle brownie, a salted caramel bar, a blueberry muffin, a churro bar and a loaf of rye bread. Our family split a number of these things. I thought the brownie, caramel bar and blue berry muffin were all terrific. The bread and churro bar didn't really connect for me. The bread was not what I would call a traditional rye. It was denser and seemed a touch pumpernickelly in flavor. CRB had other breads that looked good though. The churro bar didn't remind me enough of a churro to warrant the name and there was a dense cheesecake type layer that needed more of an identity. Overall, there was more great, than not great though. I would definitely recommend Cake Batter & Roll if you're in Middletown. They have some tasty desserts and they can make gorgeous stuff. Four Stars

I was excited when I saw Tswirl Crepe open as the South End of Main Street lacks much of a dessert scene. Tswirl Crepe offers Japanese crepes with their crepes made out of rice flour batter. The crepes are then stuffed and folded like a cone. They offer a number of options for the interior of the crepes including banana chocolate, strawberry banana and matcha chocolate truffle. They also have healthier options including lunch and dinner options with tuna, salmon, beef, chicken and vegetables. I got the banana chocolate crepe, which was good. It had a combination of whipped yogurt, chocolate custard chunks and granola topped with chocolate sauce and slices of bananas. Tasty! However, the crepe was also about $10, which isn't cheap for that type of item. However, the quality of the crepe was good, so that the price more palatable. The service was a bit slow, but the restaurant was very crowded. Altogether, Tswirl Crepe is a nice, new edition to Main Street in Middletown and I'll likely be there again!

First thing I noticed was their sign saying most of the sweets are handmade, customized, and one-of-a-kind and you can really tell. Everything feels unique, not your typical copy-and-paste dessert spot. Let's get into the drinks because that's what brought me in I tried the Singapore rose with kiwi boba super delicate, floral, and lightly sweet. It's one of those drinks that feels refreshing but still has flavor. The kiwi boba gave it that little pop of tangy kick that made it even better. I also tried the dragon fruit tea with passionfruit boba; this one was giving tropical vibes all the way Light, slightly sweet, and really smooth. The passionfruit boba actually enhanced the tea instead of overpowering it, which I loved. And can we talk about the options here?! Dairy-free ice cream (huge plus if you're sensitive like me) Thai ice cream Kunafa nest treats (yes... they looked as good as they sound ) This is definitely the kind of place where you come for one thing and end up planning your next visit before you even leave.
