I'm just feeling a little regretful picking this place over a few other options that I had wanted to try. I feel bad because the girl working was nice and I didn't have to wait long for my order. But I got the banana foster latte with almond milk and I only had a few sips before throwing it out. I was already not loving the choices/flavors they had, but went with that one because I do like sweeter drinks and like both banana and caramel. This did not taste like that to me at all. Stopped by this cool coffee shop in Downtown Middletown. I was really impressed about their coffee selections. I got a brew iced coffee and a raspberry chocolate iced coffee. Bother were fantastic! The raspberry coffee drinks had a nice unique flavor. The staff were super friendly, and the place has a cozy, welcoming vibe. Lots of pastries options too. Sweet Harmony did my son's birthday cake last month and it was FABULOUS. We got the Oreo cake and everyone raved about it. We simply added a snow leopard topper (that's what he wanted ‍) and it was the cake of his dreams. I was also impressed that they did this with just a couple days' notice. It's pretty big inside, and really cute, so we guessed they must be really busy mornings and of course when the college is in session. Teen had grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup and loved it. Hubs and I chose omelets.They were really more like filled crepes, thin eggs folded neatly around the fillings. I had mushrooms and provolone, he had spinach and cheddar. You get a choice of bread with the omelet. My croissant was huge! Biggest croissant I've ever seen, and it was delicious. We had coffees, 2 decaf, and they dripped us a fresh pot, good coffee. The pastries looked amazing and they offer a variety of sandwiches with meat, which we don't eat, but what we had was very good, made to order, reasonably priced. The owners are friends and their barrista on this fine Sunday morning is the sister of one of the owners. I don't know her name so I'll refer to her as Sista Barrista. She made my Lex on the Beach cappuccino with oat milk (hazelnut and coconut) and it was heavenly. I also had the avocado toast on gluten free bread. Fresh sliced avocado and tomato robed with a light medium sunny-side-up egg with a sprinkling of everything bagel seasoning. Each bite was perfection. They have a wonderful menu with gluten-free and vegan options. The pastries are special and anything but boring. Here again they offer gluten-free options. They also make the most gorgeous cakes to celebrate any occasion. They offer cake sizes starting at 4" all the way up to 14" rounds, and 1/4, 1/2, and full sheet cakes. I purchased a 10" cake from Sweet Harmony for my daughter's baby shower. It was fabulous!!! Beautifully decorated and four layers of deliciousness!!! They decorated it based on the design from the invitation and it was perfect. Even copied the exact lettering. Sadly, I didn't get the baker's name, but she was so easy to work with and talk to. This was the only bakery I could find that clearly listed their prices on their website. We were in Middletown for the weekend and came here for breakfast both mornings. The chocolate croissant was one of the best I've had! I've been looking for anything remotely as good as this in NYC and have not found it. The breakfast sandwiches were also very good! The person we spoke to, who I believe was an owner, we patient with us as we browsed the menu and made our choices. She offered suggestions and we chose some lattes as well as avocado toast to share. They prepared our lattes in mugs as we stayed there to eat our toast. The lattes were well prepared and delicious with great presentation. My new favorite place to go for a coffee and a treat ! They have a very cute place with plenty of seating and changing table in the bathroom for all the families to use. They sell handmade bakery items like macaroons,huge cinnamon rolls, biscotti,muffins,cookies & more all at good prices. We felt welcomed as soon as we walked up to the counter the lady gave my cousin & I samples of blueberry lemon glazed pound cake & bite sized apple pie and microwaved it ! We did get a free cookie for our 1st time and both chose Blueberry Ricotta delish ! They sell breakfast/lunch items making a sweet potato grilled cheese that sounds amazing and you can also create your own Italian sodas (pic below) and crepes. I went with a off menu item she suggested the Devil's Advocate which normally had dark chocolate but I chose white cocoa and cinnamon instead. My cousin had a banana foster both iced coffees. She handed us our drinks and waited until she saw our reactions to see if we wanted to tweak the taste. It had a thick frosting around the edges instead of a whipped cream used by many. They made the pie with only one day notice. Went for lunch today with my 3 year old after doing some shopping at the local toy store. I was looking for somewhere we could sit outside to people watch and keep my toddler entertained. Gone with the relocation to Main Street is the Victorian charm of the old restaurant, but the friendliness of the entire staff continues. The menu has been greatly expanded and not for the better, but the quiche with a small salad that we customarily order is still available. Orders are now taken by the cashier and delivered to the table. We were delighted by the day's quiche, spinach and cheese that was served with a fresh garden salad with dressings on the side. I settled on Vidalia onion while my wife choose the house dressing, raspberry vinaigrette. As we were ordering, two members of the staff brought out 4 trays of freshly baked scones. We could not resist ordering a blueberry and a sweet potato that we reheated the next day for breakfast. Although the $3 price of each may initially seem high, these were very large. It is unfortunate though that while each was tasty, these had neither the flavor nor texture associated with a scone. read more
