Got 2 hot banana lattes. They claim they make their own banana syrup but it was pumped from a torani syrup bottle so who knows. The place is in a cool mill and the staff were very friendly. Could've gone a little heavier on both the espresso and banana though....

Perkatory has a cool vibe - I've been to the Southington location as well. I recently stopped by with my husband and ordered a Coconut Cold Brew, while he ordered a hot Mocha Latte. I enhanced my drink by adding ube cold foam. The cold foam had a nice authentic ube taste but once mixed it disappeared. The coffee itself was good though. I also tried the Mexican Street Corn Danish, which was pretty good and filling. I'll be coming back soon to try other cold brew flavors!

I love Perkatory, but this was my first visit at this location! I got their special "The Dark Tower" which is a cookie butter amaretto mocha latte. This seemed like a lot of flavor for me, but it blended together so well! Their specials always surprise me! When I was there they also had a candle and flower pop up shop and I LOVE local supporting local! Tons of seating. There may be a line on the weekends, but it moves fast and you can always order ahead! They have some good pastries and bagels available, but I do wish I was possible to get an egg sandwich here. Staff was very nice. I love the vibe of this place!

Came here for a study date with my friends the other day. The vibes were great. There was good music playing, Ferris Bueller's Day Off was playing on the TV, there was free wi-fi, and my matcha was yummy! I added salted caramel to it for sweetness and flavor, and it ended up reminding me of the salted caramel cold foam from Starbucks in the best way possible.

Excellent coffee, cool vibe. Staff is friendly and although the line was out the door, it moved quickly. No hot food options but they have bagels, muffins...etc.

Awesome spot! Coffee is the best in town- robust and deep. The vibes are great as well as the tunes (alternative/punk) the art is stellar and the live plants bring life to the place. Highly recommend!

I honestly love this place. The skeletons. Punk Rock vibes. Love everything about it. Not also does it have the aesthetics I gravitate to, the latte are so good as well. While I can't remember at all what latte I ordered on this particular visit, it was definitely one of the lattes on the specials that day. For me, finding businesses that are down with me creating content is always a plus for me. I was also informed about them having a location in Southington so of course I had to check them out. Stay tuned for that review. (Spoiler warning - the only that will be different will be the photos)

I tend to swing by Thursday nights for trivia, but I've also been plenty of times during normal board game hours. This place offers plenty of fun events, in addition to a huge variety of board games. Not only that, but they offer a plentiful selection of coffees and teas, as well as frequently-changing specials that never disappoint! This recent visit, I attended trivia and I purchased a tea flight. 4 full cups of tea for a very reasonable price!! They can do any 4 flavors and ask about your preferences, so I told them I wanted to try unique/quirky teas. They did not disappoint!!! I was given 4 teas, 3 of which I purchased full supplies of immediately afterwards. Their lychee lime tea was one of my favorites--fruity with a strong and distinct lychee flavor, which was great. Chocolate chili tea was so unique, it reminded me of Mexican hot chocolate. Mountain Squall was a delicious chamomile with some minty refreshing notes, and finally, Volcanic Inferno was insanely unique and interesting! It's a strongly smoky, delicious tea that reminds me of a smoked whisky. These teas were not only delicious, but EXACTLY what I had in mind when I asked for unique teas! The cafe is so good that I'd come here for that alone--it's a bonus that there's also so many lovely games to play! There were plenty of bags of tea to purchase (I wound up snagging bags of Mountain Squall and Volcanic Inferno for home), as well as some other cute board game merchandise and snacks. The game variety is amazing. While I'm typically there for trivia, there's SO many fun game options. They also run activities pretty much every night--Thursday Trivia, Sunday Blood on the Clocktower, Sunday Dread, Friday Beginner DND, etc. There's always something to do! I love coming here and I am ecstatic to have a board game cafe so close to home for me. I certainly recommend that if you're considering coming by here, you should swing by and try it!

The price is unbeatable, $10 for entry to play over 1000 games, and the beverages are yummy! My favorite thing to order is one of their monthly flavored lattes and a cinnamon roll or piece of coffee cake. Plus, there are daily events/games, so there's always something new for me to try. Lastly, the service is unbeatable: everyone is kind, personable, and treats you like a valued guest. I 100% recommend trying out this very fun and unique cafe!

Onto the drinks and food which were so delicious and truly enjoyable. I got the Beachy Bee Iced Latte special, which is a honey vanilla latte with a coconut cold foam and toasted coconut on top (simply divine)! My fiancé got the cappuccino which was made just to his liking, and he's a coffee connoisseur. For food, I had the Bumble, which I highly recommend, with scrambled eggs, subbed with the gluten free sourdough bread (+$2 up-charge) and cheddar instead of American cheese. It's served all day and had so much flavor with that garlic butter, and the seasoned steak. Yum! If you are gluten free like me, you will appreciate that they have the gluten free sourdough bread or a gluten free wrap to substitute with. My partner had the Basic Bee with bacon and thought it was flavorful with light and fluffy scrambled eggs that complimented the bacon well. Overall, I would really recommend this place if you're looking for a breakfast or lunch in Wallingford!

I normally try to give places the benefit of the doubt, but our experience at The Bees Knees Bistro…read morein Wallingford was honestly very disappointing and upsetting. My family and I arrived while it was raining outside with our young daughters in strollers, expecting to sit down for a meal and get out of the weather. Instead, we were told we could not come in with the strollers and essentially felt unwelcome the moment we walked through the door. As parents of babies who are still too young to sit safely in high chairs on their own, the strollers are not optional for us , they are necessary. We were not being disruptive, rude, or inconsiderate. We were simply trying to have a meal as a family. Rather than attempting to accommodate us or show any understanding, we were left feeling like having children made us an inconvenience. What made the situation even worse was the fact that it was pouring outside. Any level of kindness or flexibility would have gone a long way. Instead, we felt embarrassed, frustrated, and honestly shocked by the lack of compassion and customer service. Families with young children already face enough challenges going out in public, and experiences like this make it even harder. We ended up leaving and taking our business somewhere else that was far more welcoming and understanding toward families. It is disappointing because we were genuinely looking forward to trying this restaurant, but first impressions matter. A restaurant does not need to be "kid-centered" to still treat parents and babies with basic respect and decency. I completely understand that restaurants may have space limitations or policies, but there is a respectful and compassionate way to handle situations like this. Instead, the experience came across as cold and dismissive. There are many restaurants in the area that are happy to accommodate families, and moving forward those are the businesses I will continue to support. Unfortunately, after this experience, I will not be returning and would not recommend this restaurant to families with infants or children who still require strollers or extra accommodations. I wont be going back and giving them .you business, nor will I be recommending this place to anyone. Totally rude and discrimination towards those with babies. I did not feel cherished like their website says every guest is. Its sad because this will and im sure does effect their business. I will never give them my business after yesterday. No attempts at accommodating us or evening offering to let us sit outside, lazy staff, but yet there were 3 teenage girls taking names for the wait list. What a joke.

I don't feel bad saying your service could be better because I've read a lot of reviews about that and last night. A few of your servers could've done a lot better. I don't need to be treated rude to my friends who are not even from around here. Don't even wanna go back we kept us here was your food is good and the band don't tell Lisa is the reason we came. You know what you need friendly servers some seem annoyed when we call for help to get a drink etc.... Why should we flag people down when we're sitting there? Shouldn't they come over and say do you want another drink or are you ready to order? I think 20 minutes is ridiculous to wait to order food once we have a drink!! So we eventually got moved to a table and it wasn't 10 minutes. It was 45 minutes, but that was fine. We ended up eating at the bar. We then moved to our table. I'm not even gonna get into that server. He seemed annoyed that we had already got our drinks and food at the bar. We are waiting for another friend to come and she didn't want anything to eat because she was just coming by to say hi and listen to the band she already ate and she was late. It was close to 9 o'clock when she got there. So the food was delicious that's why I gave it two stars but if I had to, I would give the Service one when you have a big patio like that you should have a better organized. We go out all the time you should have a couple of those front tables move back more so people can dance you know you're gonna have a big crowd with that band. Don't tell Lisa maybe plan better.
