    Yummy!

Full cred goes to my Yelpie friend Shawna H (aka deviledeggwearsprada on the gram) for putting this spot on my radar. This place is legit down the road from my house and I just always never saw it because I was so focused on the antiques that I never smelled the coffee. I went on a mission to try their coffee and can confirm their iced lavender latte is the perfect spring coffee we all need in our lives.

I went on a snowy winter morning to try it out! THE DRINKS -I ordered off of their seasonal menu which was printed at the register. I was really excited to try the carrot cake latte specifically because the menu I ordered from said it had a cream cheese cold foam. Since that what was clearly listed as the special I figured it would come as listed, it didn't say hot / iced and the cashier didn't ask me either. -I ordered decaf and appreciated hearing the employee who took my order emphasizing multiple times to the person who made it that it was decaf -when I got the drink at the counter it looked like a regular hot latte but I presumed the cold foam had melted into the top a bit and I would still get that cream cheesy flavor. When I didn't taste it, I checked in at the counter to ask about it because it was the specific reason I decided to get that drink. I was informed I would've had to order the iced one for the cold foam and that I should try it next time. I expressed my disappointment since I just ordered based on what the menu said and wasn't asked if I wanted hot or iced, assuming it was made per the menu. I was told sorry about the mistake and that was that. -The hot latte was perfectly fine but not what I had expected. I would've liked that little bit of added sweetness I thought I was getting in my drink with the cold foam. THE FOOD -I ordered a blueberry muffin and it was very fresh and tasty. Good size as well. -when I went up to the counter after ordered I saw they had added some new pastries in the case in those few minutes between ordering and getting my items. I would've loved to try one of the other pastries that were freshly being added. THE ATMOSPHERE -your GPS will tell you you've arrived, but note that you have to go down into the parking lot of the barn area to find it. Just follow the dirt road and you'll see it on the left. -cute patio -lovely inside with multiple seating areas. Good for coffee with friends or spending some time doing work. -decorated very nicely with a little area to buy merch as well THE SERVICE -the cashier was very friendly and conversational. -it seemed like they have some regulars who they get to know because I heard the barista having a nice conversation with one of the customers. -while the experience was overall very friendly, I really wish they would've offered to replace my drink when I voiced it wasn't what I thought I was getting per the menu. If I had mistakenly ordered a hot latte I would've understood, but when your menu is printed with certain ingredients I think they should've at least asked hot or iced when I made my order (again, given the menu I assumed it would be made iced so that's why they didn't ask & I didn't specify). -I've seen other cafes who list on their specials whether they can be made hot, iced, or both. Maybe Shop Two can consider this to avoid confusion in the future. Overall, while I was a tad bit disappointed, I had a nice experience trying Shop Two in their storefront. The service was friendly, drink was good, pastry was fresh & yummy, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. If I am in the area I would definitely go back and will recommend to others.

I stopped in for a coffee after a couple of hours spent browsing next door at Marlborough Barn. It was busy and there was live music happening which I loved. The shop is spacious and inviting and I would have stayed and enjoyed my coffee there if I had the time. I ordered an iced maple latte and it was perfect! It had just the right amount of sweetness and the coffee itself was delicious. I will definitely be back next time I'm in the area and I'm so happy Marlborough has a local coffee shop like this!

They are located in what appears to be a little house. There's parking in the front for around four vehicles, on my way out I realized they have a substantial parking lot in the rear. The inside is super cute with hardwood floors, wooden furniture and comfy seating. It's not super spacious, but comfortable for a date or a solo adventure. At Radial they roast their own coffee beans. They had some pastries, but not many, probably because it was after 2:00 o'clock. For my coffee I got the Honey Maple Latte. The barista said I could take a seat, she would bring it to me. Well, it's a good thing she brought it over, because I would have spilled it. The presentation was lovely. It came in a navy ceramic cup with a saucer, with a design on top. This was one of the smoothest and creamiest coffees I've had in a while. From the texture of the latte its self, to the flavor, it is very smooth, in a way lux. The flavor was there but in a very organic way, nothing is too sugary. This was a very pleasant experience at Radial.

Love the new paint changes they are making to the decor walls. I hate writing such a good review because that means it gets busier, but I want this amazing business to flourish. Would love to see another one of these coffee shops in Colchester or East Hampton. Drum Roll is predominantly a coffee roaster, but they sell some merch as well. They may serve beverages on site, but that doesn't seem to be a focus of the website or store and I was in and out when I visited. I did not see any seating. I bought two things at the small, thin store in OW, and I also recently had cold brew made with Drum Roll coffee at Bake Market in Rocky Hill. The following things stood out. First, the person who helped me, who I assume was the owner, was conversant in coffee terms that matter to me. Sometimes I talk to a store employee about single origins or roast levels, and they don't know what to say. The person who helped me knows coffee and they had a good selection. Second, my Ethiopian Single Origin Beans I used for a home pour over, turned iced coffee, were obviously fresh roasted. You could taste the roast. A coffee can actually be too fresh roasted, and based upon experience, I think some of the listed tasting notes will be more prominent in a few more days. I usually wait 7 to 10 days after the roast date before using coffee. For this reason, putting the roast date on the bag might be a good move. Third, the coffee bag is a high end bag. I buy a lot of craft coffee over the internet. Some places try to have useful bags, and some places try to save money on bags. Drum Roll has a ziplock style seal that makes keeping coffee fresh easier. Their bag is on par with other top places. Fourth, Drum Roll serves canned cold coffee. I'm not sure if they rotate their offerings. I bought one snap chilled Papua New Guinea Cold Brew can. It was very smooth and above average for a canned coffee product. Fifth, I don't remember the exact price, but I remember thinking the price was reasonable. I would definitely buy more bags if I happened to be in OW when I needed coffee beans and Drum Roll is open. Sixth, Bake Market's cold brew made with Drum Roll coffee was rich and smooth. It had a darker flavor and roast profile than I normally I drink, but it was well executed for that style. Based upon all of this, I recommend Drum Roll for people who make coffee at home. While I have my own grinder at home and buy whole beans, they even asked if I wanted the beans ground. 4.5 Stars
