The service was really good! Coffee was above average and the smoothie was refreshing on a hot day.

Purchased the Aww-So-Good and it was worth every penny. Very smooth and didn't have that tart aftertaste that some coffees have.

There's a plethora of coffee beans to purchase or make your way down for a fresh brew. Service was quick and friendly. I loved seeing their employee recommendations as it gives me new things to try. They had a display of baked goods but will have to snag those next time. I decided to try the salted caramel oat latte off the recommended list and it was delicious. A rich creamy coffee with beautiful latte art on top!

Today I was trying to change out my usual Cortado (I ordered it every time plane and ask them to surprise me with a flavor other than hazelnut. They made something with a little bit of vanilla and maple syrup. Absolutely perfect as I do not like overly sweet drinks. It was a nice change to my usual. Love the new paint changes they are making to the decor walls. I hate writing such a good review because that means it gets busier, but I want this amazing business to flourish. Would love to see another one of these coffee shops in Colchester or East Hampton. (I come here one to three times a week) My kids also absolutely love their hot chocolate and they know how to make it a very good temperature so the kids can drink it right away.

They offer two different roast options for their Iced Coffee. Love it when places do something for their Yearlong Ice Coffee Drinkers. I ordered the medium roast Iced Coffee Black, and it was way above average. Smooth. Good flavor. They have a food case with bagels, scones and treats. I didn't try any food, but it looked reasonably good. The shop was more functional and comfortable than fancy, but people were there hanging out. They had good foot traffic. Service was very friendly and the shop had a good vibe. 4.5 Stars

The schmear was good although it was a thin layer which was disappointing - not enough for 2 bagel slices. The girl at the counter was nice although not overly friendly. It wasn't very busy - pretty quiet. It was fine but I won't be back. I have been to their other location in Centerbrook. Wasn't really impressed with that location either although the staff were a lot more friendly & pleasant.

I'm getting a new espresso machine soon, and I can't wait to make this on it! Siobhan is very friendly and we chatted up a bit. Now I know where they are, I'll be coming by more often!

Drum Roll is predominantly a coffee roaster, but they sell some merch as well. They may serve beverages on site, but that doesn't seem to be a focus of the website or store and I was in and out when I visited. I did not see any seating. I bought two things at the small, thin store in OW, and I also recently had cold brew made with Drum Roll coffee at Bake Market in Rocky Hill. The following things stood out. First, the person who helped me, who I assume was the owner, was conversant in coffee terms that matter to me. Sometimes I talk to a store employee about single origins or roast levels, and they don't know what to say. The person who helped me knows coffee and they had a good selection. Second, my Ethiopian Single Origin Beans I used for a home pour over, turned iced coffee, were obviously fresh roasted. You could taste the roast. A coffee can actually be too fresh roasted, and based upon experience, I think some of the listed tasting notes will be more prominent in a few more days. I usually wait 7 to 10 days after the roast date before using coffee. For this reason, putting the roast date on the bag might be a good move. Third, the coffee bag is a high end bag. I buy a lot of craft coffee over the internet. Some places try to have useful bags, and some places try to save money on bags. Drum Roll has a ziplock style seal that makes keeping coffee fresh easier. Their bag is on par with other top places. Fourth, Drum Roll serves canned cold coffee. I'm not sure if they rotate their offerings. I bought one snap chilled Papua New Guinea Cold Brew can. It was very smooth and above average for a canned coffee product. Fifth, I don't remember the exact price, but I remember thinking the price was reasonable. I would definitely buy more bags if I happened to be in OW when I needed coffee beans and Drum Roll is open. Sixth, Bake Market's cold brew made with Drum Roll coffee was rich and smooth. It had a darker flavor and roast profile than I normally I drink, but it was well executed for that style. Based upon all of this, I recommend Drum Roll for people who make coffee at home. While I have my own grinder at home and buy whole beans, they even asked if I wanted the beans ground. 4.5 Stars
