Ordering the poke bowl was so easy with the paper list thing - just check the boxes of items you want included. The poke bowl was perfect. Not too saucy, everything tasted fresh. Got the spicy tuna and spicy salmon. So good. The brown sugar boba bubble tea was delicious. Lots of seating for eating there or to wait while they make your food. Will definitely be back read more

Ambiance is cute with fun decor. They have 15 min street parking available right outside. Lots of different flavor selections for boba and smoothie. The costs are way overpriced and tasted watered down. The service was friendly but very slow. read more

Tried Prince House for the first time not long ago and got two Boba Teas. One Thai Tea and one Taro. They were both good and flavorful but nothing super special. The service was a little slow, but I would definitely go back to try the poke bowls or açaí bowls! read more

Can't believe it took me so long to try this place. You walk in and mark off your card for a poke bowl or acai bowl and then hand it to the cashier. They offer zoodles for the poke bowl which I thought was interesting. Everything tasted really fresh and they were great with allergies! I did not get the Booba tea but a lot of people were ordering it! read more

I've been patronizing Prince House since they opened. They introduced me to Poke Bowls here and I have yet to have one anywhere else that could stand up to Prince House. It's been the same basic small staff since they opened. The quality of all the ingredients is very high. The pricing is extremely fair. It really takes a lot for a place to exceed your expectations every time, but Prince house has. It's easy to order. The restaurant is spectacularly clean all the time. Do yourself a favor and enjoy Prince House! read more

I love poke so much! Ordered Uber eats from here and got the salmon, tuna, avocado, with a host of toppings. I have a gluten sensitivity so I informed them in the comments that if anything I ordered had gluten, they're free to exclude it. They followed my comment and excluded the furakake as that has gluten (who knew??) and the meal was so delicious. The fish was so fresh and so were all of the other ingredients, I scarfed it down and it kept me full for a while! read more

I really love prince house! They have a lot of options for poke toppings, and you can fill out your order on a slip of paper and bring it to the counter. They are really knowledgeable about allergies (I am gluten free and they were able to tell me exactly what toppings were safe for me!). They also have a huge assortment of boba flavors (all of which are dairy free!) read more

Some of my favorite things (poke, Acai, and smoothie) together in the same place and all with the option of build your own! I love it! I have passed by this place so many times as Cafe 56 was one of my fave places for brunch. On my way home a few weeks ago, I finally stopped to pick up a poke bowl. As mentioned in other reviews, it is pick-up or delivery only. You can scan the QR code which is posted on the door and put your order in. They turn it around within minutes! The best kind of fast food! I ordered a custom poke bowl with all of my favorite bits. If you have never had a poke bowl, they have some favorites on their menu to facilitate your first experience. I love poke and have been to a few different places. What I loved about this place was the tidbit to rice ratio. It is definitely tipped in the favor of delicious bits. Lots of salmon and tuna with a delicious amount of my chosen add-ins. For me, this included shredded nori, edamame, and avocado. The saucing was also spot on for me too. Enough to let you enjoy everything together without drowning anyone out. I will definitely be back! read more

I've been in the mood for poké lately. It's such a great meal as we get into the warmer, summer months! I really enjoyed my bowl here which was fully loaded with fresh, quality ingredients! What I thought was unique and enjoyed was the option of zucchini noodles as the base! Not something you see often at a poké spot. I got salmon and ahi tuna as my proteins and added so many toppings plus avocado! I ALWAYS add avocado to my poke bowl! Yum! Next time I will have to try a bubble tea! read more

Stopped by here today after having a training for work nearby and so glad I did! The lady behind the counter was so sweet! I ended up getting the two protein bowl which ended up being plenty for me! You can make your own bowl or pick one of of their preset menu. There are plenty of toppings ranging from seaweed salad, pickled daikon, masago, mango, cucumbers, zucchini, puffed quinoa, fried onion and plenty more. There are also several sauces you can pick from to top off your bowl. There's no limit to what toppings you want so that's a total win! The bowl itself was delicious and I'll definitely be back! read more

This place is exactly what Middletown needed! I heard rumors of a poke bowl place coming long before it opened and every time I was in the area, I would pass the store front and gawk like a raw-fish crazed maniac. Finally the day that I had been waiting for came and Prince House opened! I have been here for lunch twice so far and ate in both times. I love the wide open space, the murals on the walls and all of the seating. I also appreciate the way that all of the toppings are laid out and labeled on the glass in front of the customers (think of a more exciting version of Chipotle). There are two restrooms and the women's room has been spotless on my visits, as has the dining room. Now the best part- the food! Both times I have ordered the pick your own bowl with 2 proteins with salad as a base (rice is the other option) and I have tried salmon, tuna and shrimp so far as my proteins. I have tried a whole array of fun toppings, like seaweed salad, pineapple, mango, edamame and pickled veggies, just to name a few. The ingredients are super fresh and there are many sauces to choose from- they will even let you try them before you order. I think that for the quality and quantity of food that you get, it's a great deal for a healthy, satisfying lunch. If you haven't been here yet, I honestly don't know what you're waiting for! read more

I love the poke bowls here. The ingredients are fresh. The owners are very kind & make everything well-portioned.

If I may say.. AMAZING poke right here! Love the friendly service and love that there's so many options and the bowl can be customizable to your own preference of rice, proteins, and toppings! Love their freshness of the food. And also love them being generous on the toppings. I've tried both Prince House and Pokemoto. I think Prince House is far better than Pokemoto. The Fish from Prince House seemed much more fresh and higher quality. I love their salmon, tuna, and shrimp. Food is consistently great and fresh. The Fish from Pokemoto seemed inexpensive and lower quality. Highly recommend Prince House over Pokemoto! read more

This place sucks. First you cannot order through the phone with them; only from their website or in person. Okay, tried to order from their website for over 20 minutes where it wouldn't verify my phone number and was stuck waiting for a text, tried my bf phone number in case there was a problem with mine and same issue. So fine, I go to the store to order, I tell them about their website problem and they are like "...okay..." I wait for my order; three boba teas and a smoothie. I get home and inside the bag there are three boba teas and a bowl of fruits. The incompetence and indifference from the place is unbelievable. I paid $40 for 3 boba teas and a fruit bowl that Was supposed to be a smoothie. They suck, I'll never go back there and I'll make sure I tell everyone they are overpriced, not helpful and incompetent. read more

Pick-up/Delivery ONLY- Due to Covid. Quick fast/easy. Food: GREAT! Very solid Poke bowl and Smoothie bowl. Build your own is great if you don't want predetermined bowl options. I usually get a poke bowl(small/medium) and a small smoothie bowl each time I go. Fish quality is what you'd expect of poke spots, but that's not a bad thing. I finally tried a bowl made with the veggie noodles and didn't know what to expect. Was highly impressed and though I love rice, this will be a great "lighter" substitute for those looking to be even "healthier"! Both açaí and patiya bowls are what you'd expect(choose patiya if you'd like something sweeter and açaí for less sweet) I prefer açaí. It seems they may be using a frozen purée and not say a banana base with powder.**not exactly sure don't quote me on that, but it is still tasty nonetheless** These are GREAT sweet tooth fillers and with the addition of flax seeds or chai seeds you can get a nice crunch(I love textures) that is a very very healthy option(RING IN THAT NEW YEAR RESOLUTION!!) Additional note- the Eel bowl is delicious(if you are into eel) it's exactly what you'd expect of eel on rice and my usual issue is just wishing I had more! ESP when you add the avocado. Summary: I've been enjoying their take out for about 3 weeks now since I found out about them(it took me too long considering I work in the area). I go about 3 times a week as it is one of the healthier options if you choose correctly. I have yet to try their boba but will get there eventually. Overall the food is better than the other poke option on Main St, thus I was glad to find it. Some sushi locations have poke bowls also, but have yet to try those, just the other main poke location. The food is consistent here and less artificial tasting. The price isn't exactly cheap so be prepared, when it comes to bowl size and additions it can really add up. I find myself compromising on sizes of poke/smoothie bowls to keep my lunch/dinner somewhat reasonable. Haha but a small bowl of each with tip usually keeps me very full and under $20(pickup). read more

I tried Prince House for lunch, and thought it was great. I had the make-your-own poke bowl with two proteins. I chose spicy tuna and spicy salmon. I was pleasantly surprised that they served cubed fish instead of the minced up version that some other places give you when you order it spicy. Then, I had a good time adding all of my additions and toppings. They had lots of veggies and toppings including masago, picked radishes, and generous scoops of avocado. Prince House had plenty of sauces too. To add to my enjoyment, they offered LaCroix among other beverage choices. I wish more restaurants offered drinks besides soda. Finally, the restaurant itself was neat and clean. I will definitely visit this restaurant again soon!! read more

Prince House - Tuna and salmon on rice with several different toppings, spice mayo, and ponzu sauce. - Poke Near Me - Middletown, Connecticut

Prince House is a tad pricey ($13.99 for 3 scoops of protein, $11.99 for two scoops), but still a great (and probably your only) option for poke in the area. They offer preset bowls as well as an option to build-your own. Unless you have no regard for value, go for the build-your-own! You can recreate the preset bowls and then some, since all toppings are unlimited. I went with tuna and shrimp, both of which were very fresh. The shrimp had this mild sweetness that was especially inviting. It was also impressively crunchy as if it had been recently removed from its ice bath, post blanching. They also had some ingredients I hadn't seen before like zucchini noodles and creative topping choices to finish off your bowl including onion crisps, organic quinoa puffs, almond granola, wonton chips and noodle crisps! My favorite topping, though, was the shredded, seasoned seaweed which made for a pretty nest atop my bowl of poke. Prince House is still very new (no more than 2 months old, if I'm not mistaken), so give them some time to work out their kinks. The day I went, their water fountain had not yet been installed yet, so I wasn't able to get water. They were also out of salmon during lunch hour on a weekday, which was disappointing, but, if you find yourself in such a situation, cut them some slack since they haven't been around long enough to iron out their issues! If you're on the hunt for a light lunch option or are sporting a hankering for sushi, check them out! read more

Had a bad experience at prince house. Odd name for a poke place but I figured I'll try it. My rating system is on quality, taste, portions and pricing out for 5 stars Quality: below average on fish quality. Taste: not sure if it was the flavor I choose but the sauce was just basic and too soy saucy. Portions: on the small end in terms of fish and toppings. Large portion of rice. The ratio was off. Pricing: average amongst the poke players. I rate price house 3 stars but -1 star for the location. Convenience and location kills it for me. It was at night and it was down a dark street. A little intimidating. read more

The ordering process was very organized. The food came out fast!!!! Very delicious!!!!

This is my fav poké spot of all time and I'm from NYC so I've been able to have the chance to try a lot of different places. Amazing salmon that always tastes so fresh, so many toppings to order, and u can even get chicken, calamari, and imitation crab which i rarely see at poké spots. I've never had a bad experience here. Their boba is also really good, I've had the brown sugar and taro. Their taro boba is literally my fav. Their sauces also have a ton of variety. read more

Shittiest place I've ever been to and I've been to a lot of places. They didn't fill my tea to the top because I asked for less ice and no tapioca and when I asked if they could at least fill it up, I'd pay extra, they said they can't because it won't taste good because the tea isn't flavored, the powder is. Add more powder then? Nope, can't do that. So basically I'm paying for the little bit of powder they put in there with ice. Save your money, you're better off drinking water. read more

The food was OK, and reasonably priced, but I was very upset about the lack of awareness of sustainability in a new restaurant like this. SO MUCH WASTE! Prince House is delicious! I had poke for the first time in Hawaii, so I was thrilled about having the option to try poke at home from two different local restaurants. However, after trying both, I have to tell you that there is no competition, Prince House is by for the better one! I love that you can get açaí bowls here too. I love building my own poke bowl, the ingredients taste fresh and are flavorful. I'll never go back to the other place. I hope that Prince House is here to stay and look forward to trying more of their menu! read more

Stopped in tonight with a friend's suggestion. The staff were very friendly and perhaps the owners. It was exceptionally clean and the food tasted fresh and delicious. Despite being an inland poke restaurant, the seafood looked and tasted very fresh. I liked having the option to customize. I'd really give it 5 stars but there was no menu available anywhere except inside the restaurant and they can't make crepes yet which people in our party wanted. It was moderately expensive about $30 for two bowls and two drinks but quite reasonable based on the bowl sizes, food freshness and variety of toppings, etc. I plan to visit again! read more

Good food, cheap prices, very friendly staff. Went in today and got a poke bowl with chicken, brown rice, jalapeños, mangos, wonton crisps, carrots, corn, and their house poke bowl sauce. This poke bowl sauce is the best part of the restaurant- think of it as a spicy teriyaki sauce but much better. Really like coming here and will continue to do so for a while! Highly recommend for a quick bite. Very filling too. read more

First time trying Poke ever and it did not disappoint! I love that you can customize your own bowl, and there are so many options. I didn't eat all day, so I got the three protein bowl and am now very stuffed. I think on a normal day, a two protein bowl will give me enough food. I pretty much eat seafood everyday, and the shrimps were very fresh. In fact, all the ingredients taste very fresh. I ordered delivery from Grubhub and it arrived in less than 20 minutes. I recommend getting seaweed salad as one of your tops. I think it'd go great with anything. The classic poke sauce kind of tastes like spicy soy sauce, and it is very well balanced--not too spicy not too salty. I def recommend this place--clean, fresh, healthy, and fast. read more
