Can't believe it took me so long to try this place. You walk in and mark off your card for a poke bowl or acai bowl and then hand it to the cashier. They offer zoodles for the poke bowl which I thought was interesting. Everything tasted really fresh and they were great with allergies! I love poke so much! Ordered Uber eats from here and got the salmon, tuna, avocado, with a host of toppings. I have a gluten sensitivity so I informed them in the comments that if anything I ordered had gluten, they're free to exclude it. Stopped by here today after having a training for work nearby and so glad I did! The lady behind the counter was so sweet! I ended up getting the two protein bowl which ended up being plenty for me! You can make your own bowl or pick one of of their preset menu. There are plenty of toppings ranging from seaweed salad, pickled daikon, masago, mango, cucumbers, zucchini, puffed quinoa, fried onion and plenty more. There are also several sauces you can pick from to top off your bowl. There's no limit to what toppings you want so that's a total win! This place is exactly what Middletown needed! I heard rumors of a poke bowl place coming long before it opened and every time I was in the area, I would pass the store front and gawk like a raw-fish crazed maniac. Finally the day that I had been waiting for came and Prince House opened! I have been here for lunch twice so far and ate in both times. I love the wide open space, the murals on the walls and all of the seating. I also appreciate the way that all of the toppings are laid out and labeled on the glass in front of the customers (think of a more exciting version of Chipotle). There are two restrooms and the women's room has been spotless on my visits, as has the dining room. Now the best part- the food! Both times I have ordered the pick your own bowl with 2 proteins with salad as a base (rice is the other option) and I have tried salmon, tuna and shrimp so far as my proteins. I have tried a whole array of fun toppings, like seaweed salad, pineapple, mango, edamame and pickled veggies, just to name a few. The ingredients are super fresh and there are many sauces to choose from- they will even let you try them before you order. I think that for the quality and quantity of food that you get, it's a great deal for a healthy, satisfying lunch. Additional note- the Eel bowl is delicious(if you are into eel) it's exactly what you'd expect of eel on rice and my usual issue is just wishing I had more! ESP when you add the avocado. Summary: I've been enjoying their take out for about 3 weeks now since I found out about them(it took me too long considering I work in the area). I go about 3 times a week as it is one of the healthier options if you choose correctly. I have yet to try their boba but will get there eventually. Overall the food is better than the other poke option on Main St, thus I was glad to find it. Some sushi locations have poke bowls also, but have yet to try those, just the other main poke location. The food is consistent here and less artificial tasting. The price isn't exactly cheap so be prepared, when it comes to bowl size and additions it can really add up. I find myself compromising on sizes of poke/smoothie bowls to keep my lunch/dinner somewhat reasonable. I tried Prince House for lunch, and thought it was great. I had the make-your-own poke bowl with two proteins. I chose spicy tuna and spicy salmon. I was pleasantly surprised that they served cubed fish instead of the minced up version that some other places give you when you order it spicy. Then, I had a good time adding all of my additions and toppings. They had lots of veggies and toppings including masago, picked radishes, and generous scoops of avocado. Prince House had plenty of sauces too. To add to my enjoyment, they offered LaCroix among other beverage choices. I wish more restaurants offered drinks besides soda. Finally, the restaurant itself was neat and clean. I will definitely visit this restaurant again soon!! read more

Prince House is a tad pricey ($13.99 for 3 scoops of protein, $11.99 for two scoops), but still a great (and probably your only) option for poke in the area. They offer preset bowls as well as an option to build-your own. Unless you have no regard for value, go for the build-your-own! You can recreate the preset bowls and then some, since all toppings are unlimited. I went with tuna and shrimp, both of which were very fresh. The shrimp had this mild sweetness that was especially inviting. It was also impressively crunchy as if it had been recently removed from its ice bath, post blanching. They also had some ingredients I hadn't seen before like zucchini noodles and creative topping choices to finish off your bowl including onion crisps, organic quinoa puffs, almond granola, wonton chips and noodle crisps! My favorite topping, though, was the shredded, seasoned seaweed which made for a pretty nest atop my bowl of poke. Prince House is still very new (no more than 2 months old, if I'm not mistaken), so give them some time to work out their kinks. The day I went, their water fountain had not yet been installed yet, so I wasn't able to get water. They were also out of salmon during lunch hour on a weekday, which was disappointing, but, if you find yourself in such a situation, cut them some slack since they haven't been around long enough to iron out their issues! Taste: not sure if it was the flavor I choose but the sauce was just basic and too soy saucy. Portions: on the small end in terms of fish and toppings. Large portion of rice. The ratio was off. Pricing: average amongst the poke players. I rate price house 3 stars but -1 star for the location. Convenience and location kills it for me. It was at night and it was down a dark street. Despite being an inland poke restaurant, the seafood looked and tasted very fresh. I liked having the option to customize. I'd really give it 5 stars but there was no menu available anywhere except inside the restaurant and they can't make crepes yet which people in our party wanted. I pretty much eat seafood everyday, and the shrimps were very fresh. In fact, all the ingredients taste very fresh. I ordered delivery from Grubhub and it arrived in less than 20 minutes. I recommend getting seaweed salad as one of your tops. I think it'd go great with anything.
