Just tried pokeworks for the first time and it was delicious 10/10! Everything was so fresh and flavorful I would definitely be back!

After running errands for several hours, we craved some fresh poke and were delighted to find this spot in West Hartford. Friendly hardworking staff that worked well as a team. Very clean, including the bathroom! Music a bit loud but could still talk to each other so it just made the place feel lively at 2 in the afternoon on a Thursday. My daughter chose a sushi burrito with spicy tuna and salmon (comes with white rice), and I chose the regular 2-protein bowl with half salad half brown rice, salmon and ahi tuna. Unlimited toppings with additional charge for avocado or masago--I added seaweed salad, jalapeños, sweet onions, cucumbers, a little mango, ginger. About nine different flavors to mix and match-- I chose sriracha aioli and sweet Shoyu--they also ask light medium or heavy with the flavors! Everything tasted fresh and the light flavors were perfect, not overpowering. A very satisfying meal!

I come to this poke place fairly often since it's in such a prime location in West Hartford. It's located directly next to Shake Shack, but the plaza connects to Trader Joe's and Old Navy and all of my favorite stores basically. This part of the plaza can get very busy, but if there appears to be no parking in the front you can park in the back. Onto the food, I paid $13.95 for a regular which is 2 proteins. They actually have lobster right now (seasonal) so of course I had to try it, though I normally get salmon and tuna. The fish and toppings always taste very fresh here, and you can see the vibrance of my bowl in the photo I attached! Very delicious poke.

I ordered poke from here a week or so ago and was happy with my order! I got the poke bowl regular (2 proteins) for $13.50 I believe with shrimp and ahi tuna and a whole bunch of add ins. I got half salad and half rice and it was a good mix of both. The toppings overall tasted fresh and as far as I could tell, nothing was missing and it was a big portion. If anything, it was possible a little overdressed; I normally have the opposite issue at poke places where I have to add a ton of soy sauce to cut through the rice, but here it was more than enough. Overall very tasty though. I also got a side of spicy edamame and a side of surimi salad. The edamame was good although could have been spicier and was way too salty. The surimi salad was way too mayonnaise-y. Neither were terrible, I just wouldn't get them again. At only $2.75 a piece though it's hard to complain. Delivery was on time and packaged well. Will definitely order again.

This is an excellent made office lunch for anyone-- the lemonade was completely delicious, and the build your own bowl was (of course excellent because I chose all my favorite toppings) but was crafted with fresh ingredients to perfection! I grabbed take out so I can't comment on ambiance, but the food was excellent! I'm thinking about the next time I can go back already!

I am from out of town and looked in yelp and this looked like a healthy option and was very disappointed that what I got vs pictures was not at all similar. My bowl was like a fourth filled! I asked for rice and I literally got 1/8 of rice you can't even see it in this picture.

Food and service was great. Items tasted fresh and you feel full right after. Love how they have the spicy options too

I'm not the most experienced poke consumer, but my awesome Hawaiian Ahi Classic from Pokeworks has me re-thinking a 5 Star review I gave to another place this year. This is the new 5 Star. The bowl, with its pinks, and whites, and blacks, and greens, was stunning. The contrasting soft, crunchy, squishy and wet textures were great too. And the taste, with the fresh tuna, the sweet acidity from the sauce, the vegetable flavors from the onions, hijiki, cucumbers and edamame and the heat from the chili flakes, was outstanding. There was a bit of a service hiccup, but you know when I don't mind that? When the manager is professional and apologetic about it, and goes above and beyond in resolving it. Pokeworks has my area poke championship belt and I'll be back.

Today is Thankful Thursday, well I'm a day late but thankful for Pokeworks! Been here numerous times! Now excited for the new location that opened in Glastonbury. But every time I go for my order , everyone is so friendly and my order is such an easy process. The food is so fresh and it's just such a good go to! Poke bowls or burritos never disappoints! I love my Pokeworks!

The Poke tsunami continues to roar across our state, and we checked out a new one for us yesterday. Pokeworks is pretty much under I-84 at the Corbins Corner exit, right next to Shake Shack. They have sixty-one locations across the country and twenty-one "coming soon" including one in Mexico. This is their third Connecticut location (Greenwich is one of the "coming soons"), but the only one not clustered in the NYC suburbs of Fairfield County. The ordering process is pretty much the same as any other Poke establishment. You walk down the line Subway style, tell the super friendly and cheerful staff what you want, and they plop into your Poke bowl whatever you want. What's very cool about Poke places is you can customize your bowl a zillion different ways. Maybe the total number of choices here is a teense less than other places, but you'll still have a ton of options - seven proteins, eight bases including some I hadn't seen in other Poke Palaces Like Kale Noodles, Quinoa, Cabbage Mix and a Seaweed Wrap, twelve vegetable mix ins, eleven toppings, seven crunchies (ever see Lotus Chips or Toasted Rice Pops anywhere else?), and seven sauces. My do it your self bowl was $10.95, and I built it with Kale Noodles, shrimp, tuna, and lots of vegetables, topped with shredded nori and Volcano Sauce. I liked the way they handled the sauce decision -they ask if you want "a lot or a little" and after they add it they show you the bowl and ask if its properly sauced for your taste. That was pretty nice. What impressed me the most about the bowl was the amount of shrimp, I've NEVER had this many good-sized shrimp before in a Poke establishment. We were very impressed with everything we saw and tasted here.

I ordered the $13 polk bowl, which consisted of white rice, cucumbers, seafood salad, shrimp, cucumber, and a variety of different sauces, including a ginger sauce. This bowl was spot on delicious! This was sushi in a bowl, for less money! All the different flavors just popped. Every ingredient was fresh. I never had a poke bowl before, but boy I could have this once a week. This is a newer location in Avon. The place is spotless. The restrooms are spotless. Now let me tell you about the young man who prepared my polk bowl. Since I told him I never had one, this young man took the time to review the menu with me. After I made my choice, he explained to me through each ingredient that he was putting into the bowl. I also ordered one of those sodas that you punch the top down and a marble goes into the soda, anyway you have to see it to believe it. He showed me exactly how to open the soda, which was a lot of fun. This young man was so respectful, and I think he was excited as I was about me being in there and tasting a poke bowl for the first time. Poke Brothers is only 7 miles for me. I will make it a habit going forward to stop here and enjoy whether it be lunch or dinner. Sorry for the no photographs, my phone was at Verizon getting traded in for this new iPhone 16. I love this thing. If you are in Avon, this would be a solid choice for lunch or dinner. Prices are reasonable, the restaurant is clean as a whistle, and the help, was so impressive. I love this place. This may be my New go to for eats.

I was confused when I first checked the menu options on the website because literally every choice said 'unavailable.' To be fair, it was 10:42AM and they open at 11. However, this remained the case until closer to noon, at which point I was able to build my own bowl. Picking two proteins was easy but they don't really make it clear how many mix-ins and toppings you can have, so I probably shorted myself. Ultimately I chose salmon and tuna with white rice, carrots, cilantro, pickled ginger, and green onions. After placing my order I waited for the promised email, which never came. Finally, after about 20 min, I saw that my order was 'complete' and headed over, miraculously scoring a parking spot right in front. Once inside it was more confusion as there is no dedicated pickup area, Mom was in her own prep and chop mode, and Pop was focused solely on walk-in orders. But after managing to catch his attention I was on my merry way, with a somewhat underwhelming poke bowl, ONE napkin, and the offer of chopsticks (which I declined). A takeout bag would've been appreciated but was not provided. Back at home I surveyed the bowl before digging in. Everything was accounted for and the fish was good. The rice tasted like yesterday's leftovers, though, and I've never been served cilantro stems instead of leaves. Again, the bowl was fine; not the best poke I've ever had, but I'd be willing to give them a second chance and perhaps choose some different or additional fixings next time.
