The flavors were amazing and it was a new experience. I ordered from Abyssinian a few nights ago and had it delivered. I was so hungry but I barely touched my meal. And I spent over 40$ on the special which comes with 4 entrees. The costa was bitter with no flavor at all, the Alcha sega wit and key sega wot were tomatoey and sour and there were maybe two tiny pieces of beef between the both of them and filled with potato. The injera was not great. Overall, I would never order from them again and probably would not venture in to try in person either.

It doesn't seem like you should be able to execute paella this good in a Food Hall where people are expecting quick turnaround on their meals, but I thought my Valencia Paella was very good. Per the menu, it had shrimp, clams, octopus, squid, peas and seasoned rice. The clams and different sizes of shrimp were most visible. I especially loved all the baby sized shrimp. The seafood had good texture and everything was well seasoned. People who are hardcore paella purists may say, "yeah, but it didn't have the crispy rice parts that meet the pan (the socarrat)." I wouldn't expect that out of a Food Hall paella place, but if that's what you're looking for, you may need to find a nice sit down Spanish or Portuguese restaurant and wait a while for that to be cooked. 4.5 Stars.

PT is where the noodle shop used to be next to Salsa's 6. The people were very nice. There is a bit of counter seating, but it's more or less takeout. The inside is cute. I ordered a Tripleta, which had steak, pork and ham. It was topped with lettuce, tomato and Mayo Ketchup. The sandwich, which was cut into two halves, was big enough to feed two. The sandwich was good, the bread was very good. I also ordered wings with a Honey BBQ sauce. I generally only get wings at top tier wing spots. I can't see say these wings were top tier, but they were meaty and pretty good in terms of texture. If you live in the area, PT is worth checking out. 4 Stars

I will admit this was some of the best Jamaican food I have had in CT. So tender and juicy, I would highly recommend anyone visit here. The girl at the counter and the chef were friendly and the food was fantastic. Thank you again. I also had coco bread and a beef patty too. Both of which were on point too.

In between the next time I ordered, I saw a very popular influencer talking up the place so I decided to give it another shot and got jerk chicken, a fried dumpling and patties. While the food isn't terrible, it does not taste like authentic Jamaican food to me. The jerk chicken had some mild familiar flavor but was more adjacent to baked chicken. The brown stew was more just a regular stew. This one isn't hitting the mark for me.

My first time ordering through UberEats and I was very pleased. I ordered a Fish Taco special,…read morePlantains, Almond Cake, and Coconut Water. I ordered Fish (i.e. Fish Dinner) for someone else. Placing the order was fine. I had to call because the Fish Dinner had to be customized. The person who took the order over the phone was very polite and instructed me how to notate the custom needs on the Uber app. The Fish Tacos were as I like them, crisp and spicy. The tacos are soft and didn't have that "perfect" taco shape - I've had Fish Tacos all over the country so I know what I'm talking about. BUT then again the tacos are quite large in comparison to other places I've had them. You get 3 substantial Fish tacos, filled to the brim, so you're not just chewing on an empty tortilla wrapping. The ingredients (lettuce, tomato, fish) are well organized so the thing doesn't fall apart as you're eating it. The plantains were firm and easy to eat; not greasy at all or crispy. The Almond Cake had a nice almond crust and was very good, but the slice was bit thin for a West Indian restaurant. For people who have fallen in love with island food, this is a good place to get that "island cuisine". Again, I liked the fact that when I called, the lady patiently explained what was in everything. Ultimately, the order took quite a while to be prepared, BUT it was worth it since everything was well-cooked and the service was good (the UberEats driver was polite also). The only improvement I suggest is to add the kinds of fish on the Uber menu, so customers know ahead of time. However, I will order again the next time I want to eat West Indian food.

First let me say there were many pros to my visit but a few cons as well. Overall, I'd give the…read morerestaurant 4 STARS. The restaurant was clean. The owner made the hospitality experience phemomenal, she was very kind & very patient with us. We were new customers to this resturant & had west indian food in the past but wanted to try something new so she offered recommendations for the dishes we selected. She was so sweet! The cashier was not nearly as hospitable as she was. The restaurant had very creative offerings. The restaurant is very small, had very few seating options (a few stools & a couple small counters) and the decor was nice. PROS: The food was very flavorful. We both ordered Roti. One of us ordered curry chick pea & potato Roti (My sister was glad to have a TRUE vegetarian option) and I ordered a curry shrimp Roti. My guest also ordered a stewed whiting ($5 lunch). We also had a "Cheese Patty" Which I intended to try & share with my Vegetarian guest. We also had a Psalms 91 smoothie from the juice bar which was very tasty as well. CONS: The biggest turn off was the wait time. We were advised that the particular dishes we ordered were made to order & would take about 20 mins or so. We were there NEARLY ONE HOUR causing us to be late for the next place we were going to. This may have been because they were also working on an uber eats order as well as 2/3 of the staff being new. The owner apologized for the long wait & took $1 off. Either way, the wait time was ridiculous! So I'd definitely say CALL AHEAD especially if they say its a made to order dish!! I originally ordered the Shrimp Wrap (which was to feature shrimp & calaloo rice in a wrap) apparently as priced at $8, this was to come in a flour tortilla. The owner asked me if I wanted it in a tortilla or w/ Roti. I advised I wanted Roti but the owner failed to mention there was an upcharge & this became a completely new dish which was now $11, Shrimp Roti. I didn't find this out until time to pay. I didnt find out until I opened my dish in the car, because by now I was famished, the Shrimp they used appeared to be salad shrimp or very small shrimp which was very disappointing . Another thing, the Psalms 91 "smoothie" I ordered was supposed to have pumpkin , cashew & almonds as well as other fruit. They had no pumpkin which I said was fine they could leaave that out & make it with everything else BUT I was never advised that they had no almonds so the lady was subsituting PEANUTS instead...She explained only after I asked. If I had a peanut allergy that would have been a huge problem! Finally, the "Cheese patty" which I intended to share with my vegetarian guest was a creative twist ona traditional BEEF patty. It was a beef patty w/ a slice of cheese in it. Unfortunately, my guest was unable to share this with me but it was very good, so it worked out. LOL Overall, the food was very good. I would order from there again but definitely call ahead.
