Can't say enough horrible things about this place and the new ownership. I've been going to Kiwi for 16 years now and it used to be great: $3 Tuesdays, filling an 8oz cup as much as you can with unlimited toppings for $3. Now it is $5 Tuesday with a 75 cent charge per topping AND you can no longer use the stamp card rewards on Tuesdays. Also they are now charging EXTRA if you go over a certain oz on the $5 day when the whole point is that you don't charge by weight on that day. Additionally, if you have older gift cards that are valid, they refuse to take them. The new owner constantly has a snotty attitude and will often try to charge as much as possible, counting more toppings than you actually have. Kiwi used to be one of my absolute favorite froyo places... sad to see it go down hill. I will NOT be returning and my business will go elsewhere. read more

My friend and I stopped by Kiwi Spoon because we heard they were doing açaí bowls. We went to the one in Rocky Hill, it is adorably decorated for Spring and Easter inside. Unfortunately they weren't doing açaí bowls, I'm not sure if it's just this location or all of them. We got frozen yogurt instead. We got cake batter and pina colada, topped it with strawberries, blueberries, Reese's cups, fudge and whipped cream. This was really tasty, and perfect for sharing, since I wanted the cake batter and my friend wanted the pina colada. Mine was sweet and hers a bit tart. I'm a bit disappointed they don't do açaí bowls. They had about 10 flavors of frozen yogurt to choose from. They also do bubble tea and smoothies. read more

One of my favorite frozen yogurt places to visit! Their frozen yogurt is delicious. My go to is usually the original tart mixed with the chocolate. For those who are lactose intolerant they have a non-dairy flavor which they usually change the flavor once a week. They are always stocked on their toppings which is a plus. Even when one was getting low and it was towards the end of the shift he refilled the fruit for me right on the spot. The staff is friendly. Their pricing is by weight so it's up to you how expensive it gets. I recently noticed they also do fruit smoothies, açaí bowls, and boba tea. I have not tried them yet but it seems like they make them frequently so it must be good! Frozen yogurt is great it is nice and light and doesn't give you that full feeling like ice cream would. This is now added to our date night routine! Such a cute spot with more options than you would think at first glance. I definitely go for the non dairy options which are always amazing. I got the strawberry lemonade sorbet. I love that most of the toppings are divided in these little cups so you can self serve. Anything from chocolate turtles to mango. I was a little bummed I didn't see the banana but it's bc they peel and cut it for you. You can also self serve your soft serve. There are gloves and hand sanitizer available prior to creating your yummy desert. Mask are also still required at this location. Unless you are dining in. Since it's self serve, your creation is totaled by weight. They have a punch card system where you get your 10th one 50% off! What is unique about this place to me is the extra things they offer like protein shakes, bubble tea and açaí bowls. It's on my list to try both of these very soon. read more

My husband and I have been stopping by here for YEARS and I can't believe I've never reviewed here before. This is pretty much my favorite froyo location in the state, and it's right around the corner from my house. Which is kind of dangerous. Every time we stop in I try a different flavor because they rotate in some interesting flavors. This trip I got the cotton candy froyo. Now, there's really not a lot of toppings to put on top of this without having a weird texture or tasting funny, but I would def recommend putting some mochi on top because I now think this was some of the best froyo I've ever had from here. It's always very clean and very well stocked, even after a rush comes in. Going to definitely start my weekly visits again soon. read more

A delightful choice for frozen yogurt or Acai bowls in the Rocky Hill area! Kiwi Spoon always has excellent froyo flavors that they rotate quite often that are delicious and creamy. They also offer a wide array of toppings including candy, fresh fruit, nuts, and sauces/drizzles (peanut butter, Nutella, hot fudge, etc.). This is also one of the few places you can get Acai bowls in the area, which make it quite unique for the area. The Acai bowls are pretty good and their fruit is always fresh. Lastly they've got an awesome Tuesday Special, where any small cup of frozen yogurt is under $4 regardless of the weight. Overall, it's a solid frozen yogurt place that offers a great selection of flavors and toppings. The only place I know that has a scoop for the cookie dough (yes not the little dry bits but actually scoopable cookie dough!!!) Just writing it makes my mouth salivate! Woohoo getting my froyo fix!! I happen to be in the area by chance and almost had a heart attack because I spotted a "Kiwi Spoon" sign. I wasn't sure if it was the same Kiwi Spoon as the Wallingford location so I tried my hardest to contain my excitement. This location is super tiny. I was so excited I believe I was walking on my tippy toes because I wanted to race from my car to the doors but do it in grace. Once inside it was confirmed it was a chain of the Kiwi Spoon in Wallingford. I love love the idea of getting the most for my money. Self serve froyo!!! Not bad at 49cents an oz but it does add up. I like the fact that I can get as many toppings as I want. NO more did I have to stand and pretend I didn't care that an employee was annoyed that I wanted only two blue berries. The topping variety wasn't as impressive as Pink Berry's. They seem to have "bulky /heavy" type of toppings. It was annoying but I guess that's how they make money. Will I come back? Definitely will when I'm in the area. I'll have to try their bubble tea in the future. read more

Kiwi Spoon is a place I stumbled across while driving through Rocky Hill. They offer bubble tea, frozen yogurt, smoothies, acai bowls, and more. I ordered the açaí bowl and my sister ordered the Greek yogurt bowl. They didn't have goji berries, chia seeds, or sliced almonds the day we went which was a let down. The price for each was $8.45 (açaí) and $7.95 (Greek yogurt) which I feel like is too much since the bowls were mediocre. You definitely do get fresh fruit and a good portion size, but the flavor is lacking. The wait time was more than 10-15 minutes but there was a group of kids that came in after us. Overall, I would have to give this place a 3/5 just because of the mediocre taste, price, and wait time. I might give it another shot (maybe try their bubble tea?) since they have really good reviews, everything was fresh, and the employee was very nice, but don't see myself going back anytime soon. read more

Ugh... I hate liking all these new froyo places. The market is so badly saturated, half of them will inevitably close in the next five years, no matter how good the product is. KiwiSpoon gets five stars because so far, I have yet to enjoy a flavor combination as good as what I had the other day. Their regular tart, swirled with raspberry pomegranate sorbet... it was food snob heaven in a cup. Super refreshing on a hot summer day. But of course, I was the only one in the store on a hot Saturday afternoon. It doesn't bode well for unsustainable froyo market in Central Connecticut. There are these colored tiny bubbles/colored balls in the toppings selection, do try them its so much fun to eat. You pay by pound. They also have bubble tea n Ice tea apart from the ice cream. I tried a little bit of the pomegranate Raspberry flavor n also the cappuccino. Loved the texture, flavor n its the best yogurt ice cream I have ever eaten. This is a nice little frozen yogurt place a friend introduced us to. I am always up for trying new things, but ever since I had frozen yogurt at Pinkberry, I was really turned off from Frozen Yogurt. Not with this place. This was actually really good. I couldn't tell it was frozen yogurt I was eating, that's how good it was. They offer several flavors, which rotate. Upon entering, you are greeted by a member of the staff who offers you tasting cups so you can choose your flavor wisely. That was a nice perk. There were toppings galore. I almost wish I thought it out a little better, but it was still really good. I did make the mistake of trying the bubble tea. Save yourself the pain...it was terrible. Let them do what they are good at - frozen yogurt. Leave the bubble tea to those who actually know how to make it. They keep it clean and welcoming and the staff is very pleasant.
