We came to the plaza for another business and decided to have a quick dinner at The Pho Bar for convenience. I had only visited once years ago for a boba tea, so this was my first time dining in. I have to say these were some of the most average dishes I've had in a while. Crab Rangoons were too crispy and had really no cream cheese in them, and while I ordered the pad see ew, they gave me yellow noodles instead. The food definitely didn't feel authentic. I don't see myself returning.

Wanting something different from my usual lunchtime fare, I stopped by the Pho Bar, just about twelve P.M., on Saturday. Surprisingly, there was only one other customer, seated with food in front of him, seemingly more interested in his phone than eating. As I would expect, my order was immediately taken by one of the quite friendly, and as it turned out, helpful, employees. Having reviewed the menu on line, I had already settled on the fried rice bowl. With shrimp as an option, that was my choice of protein; but admittedly, When it came to the noodles, I found myself reliant on the aforementioned employee; who cheerfully recommended the drunken noodles. So, drunken noodles it was. Within less than ten minutes, I had my food. In fact, it took longer for the food to cool down to a palatable temperature than it did to be served. But, it was worth the wait. The first bite revealed a savory, tangy flavor, that did not overwhelm the other ingredients. The sweet, crisp, red bell pepper slice made itself known immediately, followed by the crunch of fresh green beans and carrots. The noodles themselves were pleasantly wide, almost reminiscent of lasagna noodles. At just over fifteen bucks, before tip, all in all, this made for a great meal, at a fair price. One last thing; I did notice a sign stating that bubble tea was no longer being offered. Not that I wanted bubble tea; but, not having the option made me think what a great addition to the meal, it might have been

This place was very hospitable and friendly. You are able to make some of the dishes on the menu your own which is pretty neat. The facility is also clean. The food was also very good.

Stopped in for lunch recently while in the area. There are a few tables to dine in but all were occupied, so I sat at the counter. I ordered crispy egg rolls and chicken drunken noodles. Service was attentive and friendly. I like the open kitchen set up and the restaurant was extremely clean. My food came out promptly and it was delicious. I have been spoiled by a place I love in Hartford and restaurants closer to me just haven't been able to hit the same taste. However, the drunken noodles here were perfect. Spicy, perfectly cooked noodles and ample veggies. I'll definitely be ordering from here more often.

TOTALLY DELICIOUS!!! Nice, clean, opened atmosphere with very friendly staff. We had the shrimp summer rolls which were fresh and quickly gone. I had the combo beef pho and it was the best pho I have had and I have had a lot of pho. My friend had the wonton and shrimp pad Thai and that too was bursting with flavor. Definitely worth a stop in for lunch, dinner or a snack.

This feels like a traditional Asian lunch spot. I love the open kitchen and the bar seating. Their menu is to the point and allows for customization for the main dishes which was nice to see. I always love trying new combos of ingredients and I appreciate the menu layout! The food was amazing! The eggrolls had the perfect crunch. The dumplings were fried to perfection. The pork drunken noodles were made with medium spice and it was one of the tastier drunken noodle dishes I have ever tasted. The phoresh bowl was made with brisket and beef broth- normally, these soups are salty, but this one wasn't which I loved! The service here was quick and friendly. I expected nothing less :) wish more places like this were near my town! Such a great, quick bite that'll leave you with leftovers to prolong the experience

We visited this place last year and finally made it back to check out the food. We wondered why we waited so long to return after enjoying our first bites! The restaurant is beautifully decorated with an open kitchen concept and instagram worthy neon light back drop. Staff are super friendly and helped answer any questions we had. We ordered a lot of fried appetizers and devoured them as quickly as they came out. Shrimp in a blanket is my all time favorite and highly recommend! Everything came out quickly, hot and fresh. The Pho are build your own and you can choose your broth, proteins along with any type of noodle you are fancying. Who would have known Berlin had such great Vietnamese food and bubble teas?! Will definitely return the next time we are in the area and will not wait another year, that's for sure!

All the food shown tastes amazing!! Large portions. I did a take out order because they were closing in 20 minutes online. The restaurant inside was very clean. The decor was modern and I love the photo wall.

First time here and I wasn't too hungry so I didn't try any food however I did try the butterfly lemonade with lychee and it was delicious. The cashier was super nice and helped me pick out the drink, explaining the ingredients with patience. The ambiance is super casual ,I would love to come back.

There are so many Pho restaurants in the area that a newcomer like this restaurant can get lost in the flux. However, this restaurant warrants a visit for pho fans. The restaurant is located in a new strip mall conveniently off Berlin Turnpike. It has a cool, modern interior and friendly staff. The menu is pretty basic with a few options of pho, fried rice, and Thai noodle dishes which you can customize by selecting the base and proteins. I ordered the beef pho, pad see ew with vegetables, and a thai iced tea. The pho is delicious. Excellent flavor with plenty of garlic, though a little on the saltier side. Not a fan of the pad see ew. It skewed slightly more vinegary than sweet. Go for the pho!

First, the home-style dishes feel very authentic and you can customize the spice level according to your own preference. I devoured the prik king with chicken and my wife was delighted to enjoy the drunken noodles with shrimp. Second, this stand-alone restaurant has a cozy interior with 3 or 4 tables. Third, the service was great for dine-in service. The owner stopped by to ask for feedback on the dishes (which were excellent with a spice level of "1"). . She shared the importance of "9" in Thai culture as a word for growth and prosperity. The restaurant was opened on July 29, 2022 and is located at 29 Broad Street. We would strongly recommend this restaurant if you are visiting New Britain, CT or traveling through the area. They have a robust take-out service as well.

I walked into a space where the owners were warm and engaged in a way that came through consistently, and the restaurant had the feel of a place run with real investment in what comes out of the kitchen. The pho is the centerpiece and it earns that position. I tried the broth, which was light and clean, built with depth rather than heaviness, and the beef was tender throughout. The short rib and oxtail versions are the ones to order when available, and the brisket is the reliable fallback when they are not. The rare steak and tendon option is worth trying for anyone who wants to go further into the menu. I also ordered the pork vermicelli bowl, another strong choice, with well seasoned pork and fresh vegetables that held up against the noodle base. It came with a spring roll component that added to the overall value of the dish. The banh mi was flavorful and well assembled, and the fresh rolls were worth ordering alongside whatever else I got. Vietnamese iced coffee and Thai tea were both solid and complemented the food well. Service was friendly, and the owners were visibly present and genuinely hospitable. The restaurant accommodates families well, with the kitchen going out of its way on small details like kid friendly utensils and high chairs that make the experience easier for parents. It is BYOB with a package store in the same plaza. Offers your traditional Thai fare with Laotian dishes as well. It has a mixture of Southeast Asian cuisine (Thai, Laos, Vietnamese). How do I know? Well, I'm Laotian. I may a bit of harsh critic due to eating authentic Lao/Thai food my entire life. Got the beef pho with all the fixings minus the rice noodles. Without the rice noodles it still cost the same so I should've just asked for it on the side. It was okay. 5/10 Chicken laab was decent but lacked authentic bit of flavor. They told us they could make pork laab but if you look at my two photos, they look identical. The "pork laab" tasted like bacon. It seemed like they just cooked the ground chicken in bacon grease and called it pork. I did tell the chef it was greasy and my thoughts and her response was, "It's pork, of course it's greasy." Okay, but you cooked it in bacon grease and tried to fool me. Pork laab 1/10. Chicken 3/10. Papaya salad cones Thai or Lao style. I asked for Lao style because I want the extra fermented fish sauce funk that I love. It had some shredded carrots and medium spice was great for me. They served it with ice berg lettuce wedge but I asked for cabbage (authentic way to eat it). Flavor was good. 6/10 Seafood rad Ma (lad na) was mediocre. Bay scallops and calamari were overcooked. Flavor lacked and was bland, even after I dressed it up. Shrimp was cooked perfectly. I prefer no muscles but there was plenty and only Chinese broccoli as the only vegetable in the dish. It would've been nice to see carrots in it too. 4/10. I ordered two identical dishes of this and I was charged two different prices; $18 & $19. Look at your receipt! The star of the show was the beef jerky and fried chicken wings! They were phenomenal and I'd probably only order the two apps with sticky rice again. 10/10 Ambiance is great. The veggie rolls were unremarkable (as most are) but the peanut sauce that came with them was quite tasty. The portion size of the pad thai noodles was enormous. The tofu was well flavoured and moist. The noodles themselves were a bit bland and needed more of a kick (something that one could accomplish with the Sriracha on the table). The eggplant dish was full of veggies, which I appreciated greatly, but was overly oily and underflavored. The rice that came with the stir fry was perfectly cooked. The ambiance was lovely, replete with "lush" vegetation and some bamboo ornaments. The restroom was also clean and well-maintained, sadly uncommon in this part of New England. Service was good. The waitress was pleasant and the food came out quite quickly. Overall, it is highly unlikely that I will return, because there are certainly better restaurants if one were to travel a bit further to Middletown.
