One might reasonably, though wrongly, infer from the absence of recent reviews that many moons have past since my wife and I last savored the food from Seven Moons and that is on me. In actuality only the Strawberry moon has risen and set since I last rose from my recliner to pick up a takeout order at this restaurant. This evening's meal, as has been the case on many prior evenings, included pad Thai and hot basil stir-fry accompanied by jasmine rice, both of which included grilled shrimp. Speaking of grilled shrimp, 8 were included with the pad Thai while the hot basil hosted 9 more. Portion size of both dishes was sufficient that leftovers will be served at a dinner to be held in the future. Before I close out this review, I should mention quality and price, the former is the best in the area while the latter remains very reasonable. read more

First time here and came based on all the good reviews here! I asked the server what she recommended and she suggested the Massaman Curry which happens to be on my go to orders. I ordered it worh crispy chicken. The rice and chicken came out separate which was nice so nothing got soggy. This is probably one of the BEST versions of this curry i have had in this area. Cute local place. We do a lot of takeout from here but decided on a late lunch today. The staff was friendly and efficient. Booths and tables for seating. One kinda steep step to get in but no other stairs. We ordered fresh spring rolls. Minus the shrimp n they're very good. We both ordered chicken larb with brown rice. Spice level 2.5. Mild heat. It was delicious and the serving was enough to take half home. One of our fav Thai places. We have tried most everything on the menu and have never been disappointed. read more

We ordered takeout from Seven Moons last week! Portions and good sized, and prices are fair. They can do vegan and gluten free meals as well, you just have to ask. Service is friendly and knowledgeable about ingredients. We ordered the pad si ew, the pad Thai, and the green curry. For the pad Thai, we asked for the ground peanuts on the side, but instead they put the sauce on the side? A bit of a miscommunication, but it was good! This place is probably the best Thai food around with a very friendly staff. We stopped by for an easygoing Valentine's Day supper and were lucky to get a seat right away. I'm glad we did because the place got very busy. Take-out orders were hopping too and had quite the line forming, of eager diners. We overheard one of the waitresses say they gave a couple of workers from the kitchen staff the night off and were running a little behind. But while that may have been the case, the food quality did not suffer. We were amazed by the great flavors, portions, and price of our meal. My friend and I went to Seven Moons Thai Restaurant, since we were in the area. The space inside is very small. When we arrived we had to wait a few minutes for them to wipe down the tables, since a large group had just left. I typically always get one thing and one thing only at Thai restaurants. That would be their Fresh Spring Rolls. I also got the Green Papaya Salad, since I was curious in it. My friend got a soup and the Mango Brown Rice Salad. She was interested in a tea, the server was very kind to get her a complimentary hot ginger tea. As far as my salad, he asked me how spicy I'd like it, I told him "mildly spicy". My spring rolls arrived, and they were very fresh, but the rice paper was very tough. Also the sauce wasn't very peanuty as it usually is. My salad came out shortly after, and it was huge! There was shredded papaya, tomato, green beans and lettuce, followed by a spicy dressing. This was very spicy, nothing was mild about it. It instantly made my eyes water. My friend's salad was also huge. Hers was much better than mine, so we shared hers. The mango and the brown rice are excellent pairings. Additionally, there were cucumbers, onions, carrots and tomatoes. This was sweet, fresh and flavorful. Unfortunately nothing I ordered was very good. Because of the disappointing Spring Rolls I probably wouldn't return here again. read more

We've ordered takeout from here but this was our first time eating in . We were pleasantly greeted when we came in. Cozy atmosphere which was nice. Our server was awesome(wish I remembered his name). So my husband and I both had the Coconut soup, it was delicious, a slight spice to it and chock full I've veggies (you also have the option of choosing a protein). Both of us had the hot Thai tea as well, perfect on a chilly evening. We didn't do any appetizers (next time). I had chicken Pad Thai and my husband had Green Curry. Everything was excellent and the portions were great, we both had lunch the next day. Absolutely recommend!! Great date night place for sure! This was our second time eating here. The first time we did a take out order and really loved the food, so we decided to eat in today. The restaurant is small but quaint and dimly lit inside. They have a big screen tv Or you can choose to sit behind a partition to enjoy dinner without the TV. This location in the center of Berlin was formally Ramen Ya. Cute place for a date night also. Okay, now on to the food! So if you have never had the curry puffs here, I highly recommend them, they are so good. They remind me of mini empanadas but the filling is soft and very flavorful. Next, I think I just ate the best chicken wings I've ever had in my life. Thai chicken wings, I need them in my life! I'll say it again, get the Thai Chicken wings you won't be disappointed! Tonight I ordered the Mango Fried Rice with Crispy Chicken. I'm a sucker for anything mango, but It really was excellent. My son ordered the Thai Fried rice with pork and devoured every grain of rice. The brown dipping sauce that came with the wings was so good we asked for more to accompany our crispy chicken entrees - - it was that good. I only leave reviews for places that really deserve a good one. Discovered Seven Moons about a year ago on yelp while my son had a game in Newington. We live over 15 mins away but worth the drive every time and has now become our goto Thai place in the area! We have tried a lot of them as it is my families favorite cuisine. This one is the winner. Red Curry and Mango Fried Rice are two takeout staples for us. Always hot, fresh, and delicious! Very friendly staff as well. Great dinner again tonight. Will be back next week! read more

I'm fond of saying that, living in Newington, I cover 8 towns' worth of food with a 10-15 minute drive. Truth is, I've never counted the towns or timed the drives, but that seems about right. Perhaps the most underrepresented such town in my reviews is Berlin. I'm fixing that this year. I'm hittin' Berlin hard. What's that New Britain? "Hard-hittin" is kind of your thing? Sorry. Stop 1 of the Year -- Seven Moons ("SM"). SM is in the Farmington Ave business district of Berlin. The restaurant is pleasant. Although it has some nice touches decor-wise, I wouldn't say the decor is a selling point. Service was friendly and prompt. The food was decent. I ordered the lunch special consisting of Vegetable Tom Yum soup, crab Rangoon and shrimp Pad Thai. The Pad Thai lacked the balance of flavors and the appearance of my favorite Pad Thai. The Tamarind flavor was really prominent. I would have preferred more salinity. I also would have enjoyed more color and texture variety. There was a lot of tan or yellow type colors and a lot of soft textures. Some carrots, more bean sprouts, more green onions, cilantro, etc. would have mixed things up a bit. The shrimp were cooked well though. The Tom Yum Soup was a highlight. The veggies were crispy and colorful. The broth had good flavor. The crab Rangoon filling had a chunkier texture than most places. You could really notice the crab (I'm assuming it's imitation crab, but I don't know) in the filling. Based on this visit, I prefer other Thai options that are closer to me. But they have many other food options that perhaps I would have connected better with. So I ordered some Crispy Thai Chicken Wings and oh man. My new favorite place to get them. So full of flavor, excellemt seasoning, crispy, meaty, properly cooked, everything I could have ever wanted in a Thai Chicken Wing. They were so good I just had to jump right into it in this review. Upon entering through the front door, you immediately recognize what you signed up for. A family owned business. This I support. I noticed the staff recognizing plenty of people both eating I and taking out. It's like we're all part of a family if you come here enough. That's always a good sign. The restaurant itself was squeaky clean. Constantly wiping down tables and nothing looked out of place. Much appreciated during times like this. Moving on, I always test the waters by ordering one of my favorite noodle dishes (Beef Pad See Eew) and Pad Thai. Overall I'd say it went pretty well! Their portion sizes were pretty great! I see other people saying the same thing. The Pad Thai supported that theory as I was barely able to finish it which is not normal for me. Same with the Pad See Eew! Sometimes I feel like I get a lackluster portion but here at Seven Moons, I don't get that feeling. For both dishes, the beef was cooked nicely, everything was nice and savory. Full of flavor, great texture on the noodles, nothing seems to be lacking. When I imagine a nice comfortable plate of Beef Pad See Eew, the one I was served here comes to mind. My favorite Thai restaurants hit the points. Quality food, good portions and family oriented. It's hard to not like Thai food so I keep my observations simple. What more can I say? It's another great Thai Restaurant. But don't forget to try their wings. Absolutely scrumptious. It's the type of wings where if you're sharing them trying to keep it even between everyone in terms of how many you all get, just lie and say you only had one but in reality you had 3. Another cold day and a hot ginger tea to warm up...heaven. I always order the same thing every time I eat in a new [to me] Thai restaurant. So it is Pad Se Eew that I tried today. This was a very good example of that dish. The presentation was quite nice and the flavor was fine. The chosen protein was pork and that was good with a nice portion of my favorite noodle. The carrots and broccoli added a good crunch to the dish while the sauce made the noodles slip effortlessly down my hungry throat. Maybe that is why there was nothing left to take home. Will now return and be more experimental with the menu. But there will always be ginger tea at the table! read more

I'm so happy I found yet another great Thai spot. I've dined here once and the service was very good. The restaurant itself is pretty small, but very nice and clean. I had the Crab Rangoon for an app, Mango Fried Rice with Crispy Chicken for my entree, and I washed it down with some Thai Iced Tea. I enjoyed everything I ordered at my first visit that I recently decided to DoorDash them while visiting my parents. My food was just as good as the first time. If they were available for delivery to my town, they'd easily become my regular Thai takeout spot...I highly recommend Seven Moons. read more

Clean restaurant, friendly staff. When we walked in it seemed like they weren't open yet - Google says they open at 4, but Yelp says 4:30. Their Open sign was lit, and they greeted us right away, so there wasn't a problem at all. I still feel bad now wondering if they actually open at 4:30. We got there right after 4. Anyway. It was quiet and empty except for us and a couple takeout customers. The staff is super friendly, and the food was really good! I don't venture beyond pad Thai much when getting Thai. I really love it, and am typically disappointed when I try other things (however my mom's pineapple fried rice was actually pretty good). I have been here twice now with my niece and nephew, and they absolutely love it! They always get the Boba tea, and I will say it's fantastic. I'm also not somebody who typically orders, curry, however, I have had the yellow curry her twice and I would recommend it 100%. It is full of fresh vegetables, and the meat is clearly fresh. Not feeling like cooking dinner tonight we were looking for Thai but wanted to try a new place out. After a quick yelp search we decided on seven moons. Menu is your typical Thai place and we decided on crab Rangoon, Thai chicken wing, green duck curry and yellow duck curry. The Rangoon was excellent you could tell it was house made and not those frozen deep fried triangles you get at some restaurants. Chicken wings were still crispy after a 15 minute ride home! They were so flavorful seemed to be marinated and the dipping sauce was fantastic. My wife ordered no spice green duck curry and she loved it! Big portion and great flavors. I had the yellow duck curry and ordered medium spice. The spice level was perfect gave a nice kick but still allowed the flavors of the curry to come through. I was really impressed with the duck it was so tender. I often order duck at Thai places and it's usually a little chewy but I still love it. This was the best duck I've ever had at a Thai restaurant hands down. We loved the food here and may have found our new Thai spot. read more

If you are considering eating here, don't. I was bedridden for 2 days and now my girlfriend is starting that journey.
