Fresh spring rolls minus the shrimp
    Kim U.

Cute local place. We do a lot of takeout from here but decided on a late lunch today. The staff was friendly and efficient. Booths and tables for seating. One kinda steep step to get in but no other stairs. We ordered fresh spring rolls. Minus the shrimp n they're very good. We both ordered chicken larb with brown rice. Spice level 2.5. Mild heat. It was delicious and the serving was enough to take half home. One of our fav Thai places. We have tried most everything on the menu and have never been disappointed.

My friend and I went to Seven Moons Thai Restaurant, since we were in the area. The space inside is very small. When we arrived we had to wait a few minutes for them to wipe down the tables, since a large group had just left. I typically always get one thing and one thing only at Thai restaurants. That would be their Fresh Spring Rolls. I also got the Green Papaya Salad, since I was curious in it. My friend got a soup and the Mango Brown Rice Salad. She was interested in a tea, the server was very kind to get her a complimentary hot ginger tea. As far as my salad, he asked me how spicy I'd like it, I told him "mildly spicy". My spring rolls arrived, and they were very fresh, but the rice paper was very tough. Also the sauce wasn't very peanuty as it usually is. My salad came out shortly after, and it was huge! There was shredded papaya, tomato, green beans and lettuce, followed by a spicy dressing. This was very spicy, nothing was mild about it. It instantly made my eyes water. My friend's salad was also huge. Hers was much better than mine, so we shared hers. The mango and the brown rice are excellent pairings. Additionally, there were cucumbers, onions, carrots and tomatoes. This was sweet, fresh and flavorful. Unfortunately nothing I ordered was very good. Because of the disappointing Spring Rolls I probably wouldn't return here again.

We've ordered takeout from here but this was our first time eating in . We were pleasantly greeted when we came in. Cozy atmosphere which was nice. Our server was awesome(wish I remembered his name). So my husband and I both had the Coconut soup, it was delicious, a slight spice to it and chock full I've veggies (you also have the option of choosing a protein). Both of us had the hot Thai tea as well, perfect on a chilly evening. We didn't do any appetizers (next time). I had chicken Pad Thai and my husband had Green Curry. Everything was excellent and the portions were great, we both had lunch the next day. Absolutely recommend!! Great date night place for sure! Definitely accommodating for large parties and family friendly. Check it out!! We will be back soon.

Best Thai food in CT! The staff is amazing and the food is delectable. I highly recommend the Pad Si Ew and Duck dishes.

Just had take out for lunch today with my entire company. I had the chicken larb with sticky rice and it was probably the best I've had. The flavors were perfectly complimented. Im so glad seven moons is so close to my house, as they will become my new go to for Lao/Thai. Next time I'm having the drunken noodles. One of my coworkers let me try his and it was equally delicious! Thanks Seven Moons for a yummy lunch!

This was our second time eating here. The first time we did a take out order and really loved the food, so we decided to eat in today. The restaurant is small but quaint and dimly lit inside. They have a big screen tv Or you can choose to sit behind a partition to enjoy dinner without the TV. This location in the center of Berlin was formally Ramen Ya. Cute place for a date night also. Okay, now on to the food! So if you have never had the curry puffs here, I highly recommend them, they are so good. They remind me of mini empanadas but the filling is soft and very flavorful. Next, I think I just ate the best chicken wings I've ever had in my life. Thai chicken wings, I need them in my life! I'll say it again, get the Thai Chicken wings you won't be disappointed! Tonight I ordered the Mango Fried Rice with Crispy Chicken. I'm a sucker for anything mango, but It really was excellent. My son ordered the Thai Fried rice with pork and devoured every grain of rice. The brown dipping sauce that came with the wings was so good we asked for more to accompany our crispy chicken entrees - - it was that good. Definitely a must, to stop in if you haven't been to Seven Moons. I'm so glad we did!!! Always get a Thai iced tea, they make it the best!!! Staff is always courteous and friendly.

I'm fond of saying that, living in Newington, I cover 8 towns' worth of food with a 10-15 minute drive. Truth is, I've never counted the towns or timed the drives, but that seems about right. Perhaps the most underrepresented such town in my reviews is Berlin. I'm fixing that this year. I'm hittin' Berlin hard. What's that New Britain? "Hard-hittin" is kind of your thing? Sorry. Stop 1 of the Year -- Seven Moons ("SM"). SM is in the Farmington Ave business district of Berlin. The restaurant is pleasant. Although it has some nice touches decor-wise, I wouldn't say the decor is a selling point. Service was friendly and prompt. The food was decent. I ordered the lunch special consisting of Vegetable Tom Yum soup, crab Rangoon and shrimp Pad Thai. The Pad Thai lacked the balance of flavors and the appearance of my favorite Pad Thai. The Tamarind flavor was really prominent. I would have preferred more salinity. I also would have enjoyed more color and texture variety. There was a lot of tan or yellow type colors and a lot of soft textures. Some carrots, more bean sprouts, more green onions, cilantro, etc. would have mixed things up a bit. The shrimp were cooked well though. The Tom Yum Soup was a highlight. The veggies were crispy and colorful. The broth had good flavor. The crab Rangoon filling had a chunkier texture than most places. You could really notice the crab (I'm assuming it's imitation crab, but I don't know) in the filling. Based on this visit, I prefer other Thai options that are closer to me. But they have many other food options that perhaps I would have connected better with. Given the 4.5 Yelp Star rating, SM clearly has their share of supporters. Three Stars.

I walked into a space where the owners were warm and engaged in a way that came through consistently, and the restaurant had the feel of a place run with real investment in what comes out of the kitchen. The pho is the centerpiece and it earns that position. I tried the broth, which was light and clean, built with depth rather than heaviness, and the beef was tender throughout. The short rib and oxtail versions are the ones to order when available, and the brisket is the reliable fallback when they are not. The rare steak and tendon option is worth trying for anyone who wants to go further into the menu. I also ordered the pork vermicelli bowl, another strong choice, with well seasoned pork and fresh vegetables that held up against the noodle base. It came with a spring roll component that added to the overall value of the dish. The banh mi was flavorful and well assembled, and the fresh rolls were worth ordering alongside whatever else I got. Vietnamese iced coffee and Thai tea were both solid and complemented the food well. Service was friendly, and the owners were visibly present and genuinely hospitable. The restaurant accommodates families well, with the kitchen going out of its way on small details like kid friendly utensils and high chairs that make the experience easier for parents. First of all, the décor is very pretty, with a thatched roof/tiki bar-like design at their small bar, painted designs and artwork on the walls, pretty light fixtures, sculptures, and Tiffany style glass. There is plenty of room between the tables, so you really have a sense of privacy and are not crowded at all. I love Thai food, and I loved my lunch. I ordered a small Coconut Tom Yum soup ($6), and it was a10/10. It had the coconutty mildly spiced hot and sour flavor I love and was loaded with chicken, A big bowl of just that soup would have been enough for my munch any day of the week. I also ordered their Spicy Eggplant with Squid ($18) stir-fried with bamboo shoot, snow peas, string beans, carrots, bell peppers and basil leaves in spicy basil sauce. It was served with a side of white rice. It was a great example of why I love Thai food because the flavor was fantastic. The portion was big enough that we brought home half for another day. Now, as far as we experienced, the real clunker here was the service. Perfunctory, unsmiling, non-engaging, robotic are words that come to mind. What a shame, because just a little effort really would have made a big difference.
