    Karvin 's special

I had been trying all different Vietnamese restaurants from ct to Florida, this is the best! (Better than those in Philly) The broth is excellent, we spoke to the owner she's super sweet and kind. They kept the broth cooking for 24 hrs .... Rich and aromatic Pho is chewy even wheb you eat to the last bite, they don't break into pieces, best noodles i ever tried. Kravin Special we ordered has oxtails, very tender. The bowl is full of meat!! Everything taste great The owner let us try the spicy soup ... Omg i have to come back in 2 days to eat the spicy noodles. We tried the fish cake she made, we ended up buying whole pieces $23 to-go. The fish cake taste so good, chewy. Also vietnamese coffee don't get one because it won't be enough. We have 2 more to-go. I beg you to try it Restaurant is super clean because she wipe everything and also kept all soup bowl in closed area (no bugs can reach it during the night) ... There's restrooms for men / women seperately which is also very clean. I mean sometimes u go to a restaurant with nice food but dirty environment, this restaurant here has the best pho and CLEAN! I really appreciate it and i think the owner really use her heart to run her restaurant. Just happy we can communicate in Cantonese We kept talking about this and miss our exit home enjoy guys

I love this new place. My whole life I would pass by and never get the chance to go in but today, I got to enjoy a full 1 hour break from my job and so I was really pumped to try them out without feeling rushed. Very gratful.....y'all know that I am all about supporting my local neighborhood. The setting was a cute space with plenty of seating options depending how busy they get of course. I was fortunate to experience the full service and I was happy! Easy going, knew what I wanted, and I was out before my break ended. Go check them out, they have variety of vietnamese dishes. I had the Kravin Pho special one size that comes with rare beef, brisket, tendon, tripe, beef balls, and ox tail! And for starters I got pork spring rolls.

If you're looking for traditional, quick, easy, and affordable this is the spot. Was hesitant walking through the door but they made me feel at home. The service was very friendly! And the food was traditional and delicious. The beef pho and fresh spring rolls were out of this world. I knew the food was going to be delicious as soon as I sat down due to the simple ambiance inside. Definitely will come back and recommend!!

Not the best pho I have ever had, but probably one of the better pho places I have had. A great place to get a bowl of soup As a running theme of the past week or so, been freezing my booty off in the cold morning days and seeking respite after our events finish. We went to find soup, and found a local pho place that was reviewed pretty favorably. So I came in to give it a go. The server was very friendly, and when we initially came in there wasn't many people eating here. Given the neighborhood, there was a little concern that we might've picked a not-so-good place. But we stick it out and order some beef rolls and a pho to split between us. Service is prompt, with the rolls coming out quickly and the pho taking a little longer. The beef rolls were pretty tasty! they were coated in a light soy sauce and grilled to perfection. The veggies in the middle were crunchy but fully cooked, offering just a little bit of filler but also as a sauce vessel The pho was also really good! the meat was very tender and the portion was fairly large. between the two of us, we were able to easily make a meal by sharing the app and the pho. The weak point was the broth. It really needed a lot of extra doctoring to make it good. I know with pho that they do leave it up to the user to tailor it to their own tastes, but I do expect the base to be a little more put together when you get it. After a good few dashes of seasoning sauce, some fish sauce, sriracha for spice, and some crushed red chili flake, I was able to get the sauce to a reasonable salt and spicy level. After which, it was good but not amazing. The amazing was the meat, which was cooked in the broth and was very tender and flavorful. if the broth tasted more like the meat, then it would've been a much better dish. but it didn't so it's a little flat. Once you add in your seasonings though, it's a very good pho!

When I talk about Vietnamese food in the greater Hartford area, I like to talk about what each place specializes in. This is how I narrow down where I go based on whatever I'm craving that day. For Kravin, there's quite a few specialities that they deserve praise for; my family really enjoys going here. For me, I love their Bun Bo Hue (spicy beef noodle soup). When I'm feeling like I need a savory broth with a kick, I absolutely go straight to Kravin for it. The owner personally has her own recipe and is in the kitchen herself. When my cousins visit, she knows personally she likes the one with extra kick and I like a mild kick when we order Bun Bo Hue. If you're a regular, she'll take care of ya! Personally I've also seen Kravin also be great at pho in general. Some days I'm indecisive and I end up splitting pho and Bun Bo Hue with a friend so we can get both. I enjoy the consistency of the noodles in their pho as it's not too soft but just right. Can't forget an order of egg rolls for the table which we ended up ordering a few more on our last visit. My parents have a special affinity to their com tam suon (rice plate with pork chop) and always get it with extra fat (my dad does this it's his thing). The meats for the rice are seasoned so well that some days my dad gets an order of just the meat to go so he can have it at home ready to go. I'll literally stop by home and see he's got a plate of the meat from Kravin so he can have it with rice and other things at home. I guess that means something. Going to Kravin means you'll get authentic Vietnamese food beyond just pho and banh mi. In fact, their Facebook page will share the week's specials so you can try the extra special dishes that you truly may not find as authentic as elsewhere. Don't skip out on Kravin Pho! Once you try it, you'll be craving more.

This is a small place. They have dine in. The dining room was packed with people for lunch. I went for a take out. Food was flavorful. A3 Beef Rolls Bo Cuon Hanh was a good appetizer. It is veggies rolled inside flavorful beef. B7 Stir flank beef with spicy lemongrass - bun bo xao xa ot was flavorful as well. The Kravin Pho special came cold. Basically I had to boil the broth, noodles and other ingredients at home before consuming. That was a surprise and extra work for me. But once cooked it was good as well.

Ok so I haven't been to this place since it was Pho 88. Today on a cold and rainy day, I decided to get takeout. I didn't call in, I just dropped by. It was around 230PM on a Thursday so I didn't expect any patrons. Surprisingly the same lady is working there from the previous place!!!! I ordered beef pho and the fried spring rolls. Very yummy. I told her to heat up the broth because I'm not going to have time to cook it at home. I think I saw a review that said she had to cook it when she got home, so just let them know in advanced. I give it a 5 stars because the lady remembered that I always asked for the garlic chili sauce and it's the bomb!!!!! The pho needs a tad bit more salt but overall it was still nice.

Decided to give Kravin Pho a try and while it didn't totally disappoint, I feel like there are other pho places around that I would prefer over Kravin. I would definitely have their food again but I found the broth to be bland and bleh. It definitely needs all the sauces to enhance the flavors. Once I put the limes and a cocktail of the sauces on the table it tasted delicious. The oxtail tasted like it was just cooked with no seasoning just water. Service was nice and pleasant. Is a small restaurant on park street and the good thing is that has a small parking space on the side besides the off street parking that is hard to find in that area. Maybe I'm being too critical because in the past few weeks I have had amazing pho. Great addition to Parkville area for the winter weather comfort foods.

Hard time coming up with a final star count for this place because they are kind of all over the place. Here's some individual ratings. Vietnamese coffee- 5 rich coffee flavor well balanced by the sweetness of condensed milk, it arrives in a glass of crushed ice, stir it up and enjoy! Banh Mi - 4 - we had the flank. The meat was very flavorful, the roll was fresh, but lacked a little bit in the spicy and crunchy areas. Not the best I've had, but pretty good Pho- 3- I wanted this to be better. The beef broth was pretty bland. They didn't have chicken, so we had the beef balls, which were also pretty bland Atmosphere and service- 4.5- the servers were prompt and friendly. The place was clean and tables well spread out. Overall, a nice lunch. They just opened, so they are probably worth a second visit.

Vietnamese cuisine at its best! Kravin Pho offers a nice variety: Pho--delicious--and the broth is freshly made--with many options: of course beef, ox tail, beef balls, beef brisket, tendons, tripe, as well as pho with chicken or shrimp, tofu, or fresh vegetables . The menu also includes a fine array of appetizers, Vietnamese pancakes, Rice dishes, stir-fried dishes , noodle dishes and yellow egg noodle soup. As if that weren't enough--you can also order Vietnamese sandwiches--also known as banh mi. Indeed, if you like Vietnamese food or have wanted to try it , Kravin Pho is the place to go.

Now that I have tried Que Huong as they have been here for quite a while now, I realize this hole in the wall is one of my favorite places to get Pho at 9am. Upon walking in you'll quickly realize this is just another small Vietnamese Restaurant run by a family who simply just wants to serve their generational Pho. In a small restaurant like this, that's the vibe I'd want when eating Pho. But really this place isn't that small, there's a few tables up front but plenty of additional seating in an upstairs area. Per usual, I get the Beef Pho that has everything, the Pho Dac Biet. Immediately and in the best way possible, you can feel/taste the bone marrow in this broth more than usual in my opinion. It reminded me of when I ask for extra bone marrow oil in certain Pho restaurants but here at Que Huong, the damage was already done. It was amazing. The quality of the meat here is also outstanding. Nothing is better than getting thick cut pieces of gelatinous brisket that melts in your mouth in addition to the fatty broth. The service was quick, both times I have been here was in and out but never rushed. Everyone here is super friendly and simply grateful that you showed up today to try their wonderful Pho. Street parking out front and there's an open lot across the street as well. If you stalk my check-ins you'll see I frequent many Vietnamese Restaurants as I'm always seeking a bowl of Pho on my days off. I'll just end with this, I'll gladly add Que Huong to my rotation of preferred Vietnamese Restaurants. Maybe even within the top 3.
