    Banh mi salmon
    Lanasha R.

Banh Meee is one of those spots that a friend brought me to and I just kept coming back. They're one of my go-to's for lunch downtown and expanded their space so you can dine in now! Definitely important to note: They're so quick if you're ordering for pickup! I've sacrificed countless lunch breaks to waiting for my food at spots downtown, even when I order ahead, but that's never been the case here. I typically grab a sandwich and my first choice is always the banh mi salmon. The salmon is fried so so well, and paired with the cucumber, you got the perfect crunch. The Vietnamese mayo is a great touch too. I've also had their spicy crispy chicken sandwich and which is also bangin'! Everyone who works there is always so nice!

Staff was very friendly but unfortunately the pho was awful. Extremely salty. We added the $5 brisket and all got was chucks of fat. Also the very little meat I saw was like a sponge I couldn't eat any of it. Very very disappointing as I was really looking forward to eating some pho today.

Tried the salmon banh mi today and it was delicious! Note that the salmon is fried not grilled, gives a good crunch! Also the pickles are sweet not dill (took getting used to but yummy also). Overall a sweeter version of banh mi than I've tried before. Added a little sriracha and it was a satisfying meal! You order on a tap screen. One staff brings out the food very quickly. Clean bright modern ambience. Plenty of seating.

I finally tried a banh mi (salmon) and it was OFF THE HOOK!! My wife had the beef one and she liked mine more. (sucker) I love this place so very much.

Really cute place! Went on a Monday night and ordered our food via a machine. It came out very quickly! One thing to note is to add meat because it doesn't came with any! The bun bo hue is delicious! Broth is amazing with a kick! Would come back again!

Banh Mi Cha Ga chicken sandwich was incredible. SO flavorful. Cha Ga chicken pho noodles were were really authentic. These broths are always mild but it perked up with eel sauce. Small but clean spot. Staff was really nice. Order on the screens only.

I searched for a long time to find a banh mi like this spot serves. I love to order their pork banh mi with a bubble tea as my go to order. The bread they use is the perfect crispy outside with a soft inside. You can tell it's very freshly made and filled with the ideal ratio of bread to fillings. The veggies they put on are cut perfectly and are a wonderful compliment to the pork. I really enjoy their sauce that they put on the sandwich, it enhances the rich savory pork really well. They make a solid product and I'll always grab one to go when I'm in or around hartford.

Bun bo hue with brisket and the butt banh mi (pork butt sandwich)

I stumbled upon this place after work as I had a craving for Vietnamese food while in Hartford. I am SO glad I decided to come to Banh Meee as the food quality, portions, pricing and service were all great. The dining area is small-- maybe fits 15 people give or take-- but clean, and there are two touch screens dedicated to ordering in or take out (convenient for those like me with social anxiety or who like to see pictures of all the dishes). I liked that you could request extra veg or sauce on your banh mi for no additional charge. I decided to order bun bo hue and a banh mi and my dishes came out in 10-15 mins fresh and hot. I was blown away by how good the banh mi was-- quality baguette with the perfect balance of crispy crust and soft interior, tender seasoned fatty pork fried to perfection and a great ratio of pickled veg, cilantro and sauces. The bun bo hue was also especially good, and had great flavor. Adding brisket was an extra $3.50 (bun bo hue with no protein was $9.00) but I got really thick, generous slices of brisket. Throughout my dine in experience I also received great service, and was checked on frequently. You can tell the people at Banh Mee really care about their food and serving their customers. I will definitely be back.

Very good Banh Mi for the area. Price is good, flavor is good, space is very small, and ordering is built for to-go. Girlfriend was on a soup kick as of late, so we hunted down a few soup places to try. This one was fairly new and well reviewed, so we made the trek into Hartford to give them a try. Parking is a little tricky. There are spaces in front of the shop however you will more than likely need to park in one of the pay lots or on the street a block or two away to get here. Once you're there, the space is very small, enough seating for about a dozen people but it's a cramped space. There's a couple large touchscreens you can use to put in your order, and the staff quickly assemble your meals in a small alcove attached to the main dining area. We got a pho to share, along with some spring rolls and a banh mi with some smoked pork butt. Food comes out relatively quick, server was accommodating to special requests and to answer our questions. Add ons did not require us to re-order, server was able to ring out an extra bread without needing us to go through the kiosk. The Bahn Mi was great! The pork was tender and seasoned well. It did have a lot of heat, but I enjoy spice so I enjoyed the sandwich. The Pho was good, cooked and prepared well. It was a little light on seasoning, so it needed a little extra soy and spice to elevate it to that next level. The spring rolls were okay. Reasonably stuffed, little greasy but crispy. Also a little too heavy with the carrot. But the pork was spiced well, and I enjoyed the little bite. Overall, it's not what I would consider a trek worthy place. It's a good place for a sandwich, great if you happen to be in that neck of the woods. Price was really good for the quality they produce. So long as you're getting to-go, you'll find something to like here

Really enjoyed my bun Bo hue, good level of spice and seasoning. Pulled pork was interesting, went well with the hoisin sauce. What I want to say is these egg rolls I got were lit. The crunch, the filling on the inside, and the nice cool fish sauce, I'd honestly just get 10 of them if I could. Service and ambiance was no frills, very casual sit down.

I liked that they had curated bowls as I'm not a fan of build-your-owns (this is an option if that's more your style). I got the Park Market Bowl that had both tuna and salmon, on top of rice, seaweed, corn, lettuce, and cucumber. There was a lot of spicy mayo and eel sauce drizzled on top--way too much for my liking to be honest. The staff was very nice and swift when they see a line forming. The Build-Your-Own orders hold up the line. The price was too bad for a poke bowl, under $20. On other Parkville visits, I've gotten boba tea from this stall as they share it with the Okinawa Boba Co. I love the Ube Milk Tea. If I'm in a poke bowl mood at Parkville Market, I'll try another bowl and/or have them go light on the sauce.

It's more like a Japanese ramen than Chinese beef noodle soup, but the umami flavor was incredible, making it my new favorite ramen in CT, beating out my previous fav., The Darkness ramen from Tiger belly Chinese restaurant in Granby. Tiger belly's ramen tastes just as good, but it's made out of pork belly. Since beef costs 2-3 times the price of pork, the beef rib noodle bowl here represents much better value. The beef was cooked perfectly, it's tender but no completely falling off the bone (which will cause it to lose flavor), the beef tastes so yummy, well done! The front end staff seemed flustered with a few groups coming in at the same time. There's no easy to access menu which lead to everyone waiting in line to order but not knowing what to order till they got up to the register. We did manage to order and food came out at a reasonable rate. We took pics and dug in. The spring roll was good. Had a good amount of shrimp and the peanut dipping sauce was earthy and sweet. The pork in the chashu ramen was tender and braised well, and the noodles were springy and fresh. The rest of the dishes? There were a lot of misses this time around. Chili Dumplings were very thick on the wrapper and lacked flavor and spice, the ramen broth lacked seasoning, the fried dumplings seemed out of the freezer, the egg in the ramen was overcooked, and the sausage special was dense, musky, and old. The sausage was almost to the point of being dangerous. There is good food that comes out of the kitchen, so long as you stick to the noodles only then you should be okay.
