Beef pot stickers, Bulgoghi Cup BAP
    Diloshi K.

We ordered the bulgogi cup, beef pot stickers, taro latte, mango slushie, and a side of cucumber kimchi. The bulgogi cup was decent but nothing too special -- it could use more flavor. It came with a pickled vegetable that wasn't spicy at all, and there was a green bean that seemed canned or out of place. The cucumber kimchi side was also a bit underwhelming, lacking the bold kick I expected. The beef pot stickers were a highlight -- very crispy and tasty. The taro latte was good for Connecticut standards, though the boba pearls were hard in the middle instead of chewy. The mango slushie was refreshing and not too sweet, which I really liked. The space itself is very clean, including the bathrooms, and I loved all the plants inside -- they gave the place a nice vibe. Staff was fine, though the cashier who rang us up seemed very sleepy. One suggestion: it would help if they added food descriptions to the menu, though the pictures up top do make ordering easier. I'm originally from California where the food scene is incredible, so my standards are pretty high. For Connecticut, this spot was good and honestly surprised me. Overall, it's a clean place with some nice touches, and while some dishes were hit or miss, I'd come back to try more.

"Joe McCarthy, Richard Nixon, Studebaker, television North Korea, South Korea, Marilyn Monroe" (Billy Joel) Korean Fast Food can be yours at ReFresh, but you'd better do some homework first unless you're fluent in Korean food names. We certainly were not, so imagine our puzzlement as we negotiated their menu board and saw unexplained choices such as Cup Bap, Japchae, JJajangmyun, JJanmppomg, TTTok BBokK Ki, and Kimbap. No explanations are posted, so you'd better come prepared and use the old Google machine to unlock the hidden meanings. We did a take-out order for lunch and paid $32.27 after tax and tip for three things. The first item needed no translation because it was a 6-piece order of pork dumplings for $7. They came with a dipping sauce and were excellent. There was also an unexpected item -a small container of pickled daikon radish slaw. Item #2 was Kimbap, which seems to be quite the rage at the moment. I understand that Trader Joe's sells out as soon as an order comes in. Kimbap is similar to sushi, it's a roll cut into slices with seaweed on the outside and sesame oil flavored rice inside. But there's no raw fish in kimbap, so you'll usually find grilled meats, vegetables, eggs, etc. inside. ReFresh sells four types of Kimbap, we ordered the "Regular" which had surimi in there. $7.50 got us 10 slices that tasted great, so that was pretty good value. Our third item was a Chicken Cup Bap ($13) which turned out to be an enormous portion of grilled chicken chunks, rice, noodles, and assorted vegetables. If the Kimbap was a pretty good value, the Chicken Cup was a SENSATIONAL value, because (trust me) the portion size is ridiculous. There was a crazy amount of chicken chunks in there, but we both thought they tasted a little bland and could have used more seasoning or sauce. In general, our entire order could have used a lot more sauce besides the small container we found in our take-out bag. If you're a fan of Korean food, you'll enjoy ReFresh. If you're curious about Korean food, you'll enjoy ReFresh. Just do some homework on the menu first.

There's a brand new Bubble Tea spot that has opened in Farmington around a month ago. They're called Refresh Food & Drink. They have a nice variety of Korean food options as well as bubble tea drinks and some other similar drink options. The space inside is very clean, fresh and inviting. They have plants, which are always going to make any space so much more inviting. The owner was very pleasant and he answered all of my questions, he was also the one making all the bubble teas. I got the Passion Fruit Tea. I hate to say it, but I was a bit underwhelmed by it. It was tart, and almost not at all sweet. The tapioca in it were all fresh, warm and chewy. And there were plenty of tapioca. Maybe since they're brand new they are still working on perfecting the recipe. I might stop by again sometime.

Brand new restaurant in an ~also new~ small retail plaza on Farmington Ave The menu here is comprised of a few different forms of BiBimBop, bubble tea, lattes, and a couple other options as well The space is stylish and has ample seating It took a little while for my Bibimbap to be prepared, but the man working was very friendly so I didn't mind. The portion was fairly large

We enjoyed this place so much! It isn't a huge sit down place but they did have some tables, you order at the counter and they bring it out to you. The person that took our order was so kind! We ordered a few things and had plenty to take home. The jjajangmyun was delicious and I think my favorite. I would love to try the japchae next time! The banchan was unexpected but very good- had some kimchi, cucumber kimchi and pickled daikon radish. We def plan on going back.

Food and service was great!! Loved the Kimbap & Shrimp dumplings and the Mango fruit tea is so fresh!! Everything was amazing, Definitely will come back soon! Had this then went next door to Sweet Bite (I heard they are both owned by brothers) and they both were so nice and the food/sweets were sooo yummy!!!

FINALLY! I have been praying for a local place I can pick up delicious kimbap from and ReFresh Food & Drinks is IT! First off, this place is ridiculously clean. I love how spacious it is inside and how far apart the tables are from each other. You order at the front and then grab a table. Drinks can be picked up at the counter, and entrees are delivered to you at your seat. We got so many of their yummy items, but you HAVE to try their tteokbokki. It is the perfect level of spicy, and you need to get the cheese. It's a HUGE serving, so I recommend sharing it! We ordered the bulgogi kimbap and the tuna kimbap. They were big rolls with extra pickled radish on the side, which we appreciated. I really enjoyed my passion fruit tea. We ordered that as well as the mango latte and lychee milk tea. It's so dangerous that this place delivers via DoorDash as I will be ordering this weekly. This is the perfect meal, especially on a cold day! Thank you to the owners for opening this amazing spot up. We can't wait to continue to support you!

Boba tea makes my world go round and round…read more King Fu Tea was founded in 2010, in Queens, NY. There are over 350 franchised stores in the U.S. Their process is, picking the most quality tea leaves, brewing it at the correct temperature, and steeping it for the right amount of time. The tea leaves are from Taiwan and it's brewed every 3 hours; the boba is cooked every 2 hours. The strawberry lemonade and orange green tea are made from freshly squeezed juices. On this visit at the WeHa location, I was walking by and had to pop in. I ordered the small milk tea with grass jelly and normal sweetness. I loved everything about the drink. They had so many flavors to choose from, I was having analysis paralysis. There were signs to download the Kung Fu Tea app for discounts. There were plenty of seating and the place looked clean. The customer service was good. I look forward to going back to try out their other menu items.

I usually opt between some sort of Matcha or green tea of sorts, but I absolutely love their Boba and nata jelly. Not what was expected, but not bad…read more Missus is on a dumpling kick, so we looked for some of the best dumplings we could find locally. Found this well reviewed shop close by, so we dropped in. The inside is very sparse, lots of stuff strewn around. It was lacking a lot of polish, but it didn't seem too sketchy. We ordered from the nice lady an order of dumplings, pirogies, and a couple of bao buns. Price was good, and food took about 15 minutes to cook but we did some trekking locally to waste time, We got our food, took some pics and dug in. The pirogies were for me, and I must say that they were not pirogies. It was mashed potatoes with cheese in a dumpling wrapper. The dumpling wrappers were fresh, but the dough was not what I expected. The potato and cheese was pretty good though. Didn't use a farmers cheese but did some type of white cheese. The bao were generic. They used the same filling as the dumplings as the bao filling. It really needed a sauce inside to help differentiate it from the dumplings. We also got a black sesame bao, but the inside was very watery and not appetizing at all. So we threw that one away. The owner is a very nice lady, and she's working hard to keep her place busy. It's clear that the stresses of the day keep her strained, but she does mean well enough. For those in the area, it's not a drive to destination. It's pretty good dumplings in a run down shop with an owner fighting to stay afloat. I would recommend going here if you want to support local, and don't mind a bit of grit. The dumplings are fresh, the pirogies are interesting renditions, and they do boba tea.
