The service was good, the ambiance is beautiful, modern and cozy feel. The food was pretty good, really enjoyed the kimchi cucumber it added a lil pop to my dish, the bulgogi was flavorful, in my opinion. If you haven't been you should deff give them a try.

Having recently been to Japan, we were happy to go to a place that serves some of the food we fell in love with! We had to get the souffle pancakes-- only 2 (vs 3 in Japan) but flavor is similar! Also had the karrage chicken and waffles-- chicken has the flavor i was hoping for and waffles were okay. Korean egg drop sando was ok but a bit too pricey for what you got. Lotus root chips were nice! Overall, food is good. Ambiance is nice. Restaurant is clean and service is good!

Cute, cute, cute!!!! Wasn't sure what to expect for a brunch time slot, but it was delicious. Went pretty basic with a coffee and it outdid itself with a cute cup and saucer. Ordered the Karaage and Waffles and they were soooo good. Laural was our server, very prompt, polite and good.

Tucked away from street view, this place is a little gem and adds personality to town We arrived early on a Sunday morning for breakfast and were instantly welcomed by the bright and modern interior. They have a selection of Asian inspired items like bulgogi, karrage chicken with waffles, lotus root chips (yum) and Japanese souffle pancakes, along with egg sandwiches and breakfast platters. Portions are regular sized and you won't be stuffed afterwards unless you have a small appetite. While i would summarize the food as good but not amazing, I really enjoyed the atmosphere and service. And the matcha latte was unsweetened and creamy which was also a plus. Food wasn't super fast to appear but also nothing to complain about. They have a sign that you'll be limited to 90 minutes because it gets busy. Bathrooms are inside the adjoining building so you have to walk out of the restaurant space. There's parking in the back but I could see it filling up when busy. I'd definitely return! They're also next to grassroots ice cream which is another plus.

This spot has been on my got to try breakfast/brunch list for quite some time. Also love that there was plenty of free street and private lot parking. It is a lot larger on the inside than I expected. We were seated in the quieter of the two dining areas. It was quite busy on a Saturday morning. There was even a sign at the door warning patrons that there was a 90 minute dining limit and reservations were encouraged. Not sure if that is just for weekends or not. I was not bothered by it and knew that just meant it has fast become a local favorite. We did not have reservations but were seated pretty quickly. Our server was very nice and attentive to our table despite being extremely busy. We decided on mocktails( which were very good), the soufflé pancakes and sides of bacon and eggs. We had a great experience and I look forward to coming back again next time I am in the area.

The space is really cute & CLEAN! Went early in the day so opted for a hot chai instead of a cocktail. Will be back to try some more menu items. I got the Vegan Bowl with tofu, avocado & more. It was delicious and light but still left me feeling full. If anything it needed a little more salt for my taste. The staff were friendly. A nice stop for a bite to eat if you are in the area!

Find this cute cafe on a road trip to Boston. The service was good. Staff was friendly. The food was okay. Nothing so good that i would make an effort to go back. The sweet potato fries could have been fried longer. They were soggy. The chicken and waffle was good. The waffles tasted like cake. The pancake was okay. We have had better. The strawberry sauce was food. Both sandwiches were decent. I wish the lotus chips were a little thicker. Couldnt really taste the root because it was shaved so thin..just tasted the oil it was cooked in.

I came here for breakfast on a Sunday. I ordered Strawberry Matcha Soufflé Pancakes and was very happy! They were pleasantly fluffy, airy, and delicious without being overly sweet. I also ordered an iced latte that I liked, but cannot remember what kind it was. If I didn't live so far I would come here often!

Extremly picturesque food and restaurant is very quaint. The food was average I did not love the flavor of the chicken however their pastries are amazing. The soufflé pancakes were definitely the best part. The service was great.

Blossom Cafe is a restaurant in Simsbury offering not only classic coffee and tea offerings, but creative cocktails/mocktails and asian-inspired breakfast and lunch foods as well. I have tried their katsu sandwich, chinese chicken salad, matcha latte, and their lychee dragon mocktail. The drinks are lovely, the matcha is of avery good quality and appropriately strong so that you can taste the matcha, and the lychee dragon was effervescent and refreshing. The food, while a little pricey, was also delicious. We enjoyed having our brunch in their beautifully decorated, clean space with comfortable booths. The waitresses were also very attentive and pleasant. I wish they had counter service for their drinks or a dedicated walk-in section because I would love to enjoy a drink inside like you would do at a cafe, because the matcha lattes really are good. I would recommend going on a weekday because as walk-ins on a Sunday at 9:45 AM we were told to "please leave by 11" for people who had reservations for brunch. Overall really liked the food and drinks and would enjoy another meal in their pretty restaurant.

This is such a cute restaurant. Our waitstaff was so friendly and attentive. The food was awesome and they had Japanese pancakes which were amazing. They were light and fluffy and delicious

What an unexpectedly amazing find! I almost didn't want to write a review so that I could keep this place a secret, but I also want people to give the place a try because it's so good! The Korean sandos are delicious and just large enough to be filling, and the soufflé pancakes are sweet without being overly so, and light (they are only made on Thursdays-Sundays though). The coffee is also really well-made, and Bloody Marys are made with Zing Zang mixer, which I love (it's peppery rather than horseradishy). The prices are not high for the area, and the decor is really cute. In good weather, you can sit on the deck. The service is also good; servers are attentive but not overly solicitous. The restaurant has ample parking because it is in a building with other businesses. It is up the staircase as you enter from the parking lot. You can also see the paved linear Farmington Canal Trail from the windows, with a nice view of the Metacomet ridge, so if you wanted to take a quick bike ride, walk, or run to work up an appetite before breakfast, you could take advantage of its proximity!

This cafe was a 2.21 hr drive and well worth it. The ambience is very Zen like. The dining room has a wonderful open airy space, flanked by plants which gave it a wonderful energy ideal for dining and enjoying the company of your party. The cafe is housed in a building with numerous adjoining shops. You xan stop in a purchase supplies for quilting or ice cream or a coffee for the ride home. Our server was very attentive and I loved how she gingerly placed our meals down. The plates were gorgeous and colors and sizing were well thought out. I really appreciate the vibe it created. Every dish my party ordered was delicious you must order the souflle pancakes which has a rotating flavor choice I'm guessing based on season and availability of ingredients. My friend who recommended this cafe had a mango version which was not available but Apple crumb was a delicious option they also have strawberry and on the day of my visit a vanilla version. No syrup is needed as the pancakes are pillow clouds of heaven and compliments your flavor selection. The beverages are pricey but again the gentlemen stationed at the bar prepared each one with love and care I could taste his passion. My son had the brown sugar latte and my daughter law had the strawberry lemonade. These beverage were equally delicious. This cafe is located in a quaint town and absolutely needs to be visited by ever foodie out there. We will be returning to try other items on the menu.

The spinach and chicken empanadas ($6 each) were also a little dry and crust to filling ratio was more on the crust side. The two omelettes were ok but one was more well done than the other and you couldn't really customize it much; the home fries were good though. They also have a variety of drinks that were interesting, especially the Peruvian coffee and golden latte. You order at the counter and then your food is brought to you. We had a very nice lunch here yesterday and ordered a spinach empanada and a beef empanada for me, and a Lucuma Chocolate Chip Waffle ($11.50). My empanadas ($6 each) were wonderful. They are homemade every single day by Pam herself and were flaky, tender, and really loaded with fillings. The beef empanada was my favorite; the delicately spiced ground beef was delicious. The full-sized circular waffle was a work of art, garnished with strawberries, Nutella, chocolate shavings and bordered by a pillow of golden whipped cream flavored by Lucuma, a sweet yellowish South American fruit. When Pam's daughter Danitza brought out our foods, she gave us a complimentary Nutella Alfajor - a yummy, filled shortbread cookie. Ours was so terrific, we ordered two of them to go -a Classic and a Pistachio. When we arrived home, we saw a third small Alfajor was tossed into the box as another freebie. It consisted of two separate towers of sausage patty on the bottom, then potato pancake, with poached egg and hollandaise sauce on top...and several spices. It took a bit for us to be acknowledged and seated but I was ok with that. Our waitress was warm and welcoming and though I knew what I was going to order before I even left the house, the specials she rattled off all sounded great. I am obsessed with biscuits and sausage gravy and knew it was on the menu. It's not only on the menu but the staff's shirts all mention the biscuit. DAMN that is a good biscuit. It's a HUGE cheddar and chive biscuit (big enough for a sandwich). Paired with the sausage gravy and my perfect over-medium eggs it was a wonderful meal. My wife had the French Dip benny which she liked but would not order again. She felt the roast beef was a little tough. Hers came with a "loaded potato cake" which was insanely delicious. It's about the size of a crab cake, made with shredded potatoes and was so, so good. Of note-reasonable prices, many vegan, vegetarian and GF options (including vegan meats and cheese). The lunch menu looks really tasty too. I will be back (and I will get both a biscuit and a loaded potato cake to go, in addition to another great meal).

We enjoyed the regular breakfast sandwich with spinach and cheese (subbed the meat but wish the spinach had been cooked in - $7) and the breakfast scramble which included 2 eggs, 3 veggies, cheese, protein all mixed/cut up together, as well as hash brown (didn't exactly look homemade?) and toast ($11). My friend and I made our decisions based off of that system but ordered at the counter. While there are a lot of breakfast and lunch options, there aren't many beverages. Coffee, hot chocolate, and tea are the mainstays for warm beverages, and all cold beverages other than cold brew coffee are prepackaged bottles in a cooler and run just short of $4. Kind of love that I could get a side waffle. It took a while for the food to come out. It felt longer than it should have been for how few people were there, but I didn't time it. My waffle was cold. The tator tots in the Reuben bowl, however, were cooked perfectly, as were my friend's hash browns. Everything tasted great. If you're looking for the picturesque weekend brunch experience, this isn't it. But if you want a quick bite that's well made with quality ingredients and no-fuss beverages, you'll be very happy here. Even more so if you want to take it on the go.

Nathaniel, our host, added a great deal to the experience. Took home a quart of beef stew for our dinner and it too was delicious. Will be back soon. Want to try their breakfasts Thursday - Sunday.

That's because when you pull into the shopping plaza.....you don't see it. But if you circle around to the right, you'll see it on the side of the strip mall's buildings. And trust me, this spot is definitely worth hunting down to experience a standout breakfast or lunch. We walked in a little before 1:00 yesterday and found a table for two in the back left corner of the dining room, so we had a good view of the entire room. I have to tell ya, the place was packed! Breakaway closes at 3:00 every day except Sunday (2:00), and there were breakfast and lunch menus out, plus a few daily specials. My wife went with a "William's Ham Panini" ($17) with thin sliced ham, bacon, caramelized onions, cheddar and honey mustard on a grilled panini. We both were struck at how much ham was piled onto her sandwich. She had a few choices for a side dish and put her nickel down on potato salad. I went with The JT Salad ($16). The menu says it's been their "best-selling salad 25 years and counting". It was a big portion of mixed greens served with house balsamic dressing, grape tomatoes, gorgonzola cheese, and grilled chunks of teriyaki glazed chicken breast. It was stellar, with plenty of that yummy cheese and chicken. The only sour note with our lunch was a rather steep $4.25 for a glass of iced tea that was half-filled with ice. The food was very good and a decent amount of leftovers came home with us for another day. I was unexpectedly impressed by how crowded Bistro was on a random Monday. I bet you'll be too.

It is huge with all the fixings and both had to finish eating it with a fork. No complaints though. I had the 3 Shrooms burger which was delectable. An order of Baja Fish tacos was delicious and rounding things out was a classic Bacon Cheeseburger, also well complemented. In all, it was a great place to meet up. The prices were reasonable and the service was very good also. Plan B is one of our go-to places because we know it will be a great meal.

The menu was bigger than I thought with a wide range of options to choose from tacos to sandwiches to burgers. It took a while for the appetizers and drinks to come out. The service was okay at best. There seemed to be only one server, and it even seemed like the chef was helping out deliver food, so it looked like they were understaffed. The server was very friendly though. For appetizers, two dozen wings ($22.95 each) were ordered. The honey mustard and Kentucky bourbon BBQ were the chosen sauces. The quality of wings were very good. They varied in size and were extremely crispy. They seemed to be double fried. The honey mustard sauce was flavorful. There was a little inconsistency with the amount of sauce, but not a huge deal. The Kentucky bourbon BBQ was an elevated BBQ sauce to me. There was a slight bourbon flavor, but nothing over powerful. For my meal, I had the squealer burger ($15.95). I opted for a side salad, which was terribly overdressed, which was unfortunate. The burger was a half pork, half beef burger with American cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, mustard, and mayo. The meat was cooked to my liking and there was an ideal ratio with the bread and filling. There was something salty about this burger, but I could not pinpoint what it was exactly. Overall, though, a satisfying burger. Will I go back? I would.
