Good food and service, broth isn't the best I've had but definitely hit the spot on a cold winter day

Tiger Belly Noodle Bar is a nice casual spot to stop in for some sushi, ramen, bao, and more. The prices are very fair, and the BYOB policy helps keep costs down, making it an even better value. Plus, there's a convenient spot just about 100 yards away where you can pick up wine, beer, or other drinks to bring along. The ramen was good and definitely worth the price, although we felt the broth could have had a bit more depth of flavor compared to some of our other favorite spots for similar dishes. The East Windsor specialty sushi roll was a standout, and we're excited to try one of their poke dishes next time. The pork belly bao were a definite winner and a highlight of the meal. Stop by if you haven't. If it's your style of food and reasonably local to you, I'd be surprised if it doesn't work its way into the rotation.

Delicous food, great service- no wait time! I will definitely be back when im in the area!

The food is amazing we had it twice in 1 month, although it is a drive for us. It is definitely worth going to. How can you not say no to what I think is one of the best Ramen in CT. At least this is currently on top of my list. The service is excellent as well. Am ok with the blank space. I am there for the food and how clean it is and how the service regardless if it is full or not it is the same. Definitely a must.

Read great reviews and saw delicious pictures online of this place. I bookmarked it and have been trying to get here for a while. The front entrance was locked with a sign saying to use the side door. The interior was very minimalistic. I was greeted right away and I asked if they had a high chair, which they did. We were seated and brought waters right away. They didn't have a children's menu so I ordered my toddler ramen and broth which they happily obliged; this was $10 for anyone wondering. My husband and I shared two sushi rolls which was a lunch special; Philadelphia Roll and eel/avocado roll, both were fresh and tasty. My main course, "the Darkness Ramen", in tonkotsu broth, pork belly, fried garlic, ajitama cured egg, bean sprouts, green onions, bamboo shoots, kikurage earwood mushroom with black garlic oil. The pork was very tender and melted in my mouth and the egg had a unique flavor; every flavor intermingled perfectly. I'm more of a fan of tangy and spicy flavors but I'm glad I got to try this out. I'm looking forward to going back to try out their wings, other entrees, and sushi.

Delicious ramen. The meat is so tender. This place has expanded since I have last came so lots of seating. Very quick service - no real long wait as they turn the tables quickly. Quality of ramen is amazing- one of the best ramen places in the area - recommend

Darkness Ramen still as good as before. The ox tail add on option is gone but the eel sashimi is almost as good. It lost a star because the service now is a bit lacking, especially the waitresses sits with her back to the customers so she can't see the needs & pretty much ignored customers after sitting them down. The server that came out of the kitchen is much harder working & much more pleasant.

This is a little place in a shopping mall that goes beyond your normal sushi and pho. It is ascetically modern without a lot of frills. I think that it is done on purpose so you focus on the food We started with the dumplings that were quite plumb and fried lightly with an amazing dribbled sauce over them. Very tasty. The pork banh bao buns were soft and fluffy for the buns and juicy and tender for the pork. Wow. Excellent. The sushi was fresh and imaginative. They had so many unique offerings to try. I had the blacken pho which was so satisfying. The broth was cooked for over 15 hours and resulting in a truly satisfying dish. Definitely will come back. It's BYOB so bring your favorite beverage. Our server was very attentive and happy to see you satisfied.

Food was really good. Quality, fresh sushi. Service was kind of a miss but there was only one waitress so I'll cute her some slack.

Nearly everything that's been ordered from myself or someone else I've gone with has been yummy. If recalling correctly, the only food item I've ever not been thrilled about was their tteokbokki. Normally they have a little kick to them and Kansai's was very sweet. Still enjoyed the dish but I do wish it wasn't as sweet. Usually when we walk in they have us choose whatever table we would like to sit at which is also a plus. Especially when my daughter is in tow because sometimes her childhood whimsy gets a little loud. When I come back to town to visit family, this place is usually our go-to and I'm not upset about it! The one thing I would knock a star for is that I do think its a little overpriced compared to other restaurants such as these. **Please correct me if I am wrong but I also believe the owner of Kansai owns Kisara in Easthampton which is also very yummy!**

I simply cannot imagine ordering anything other than their Curry Ramen bowl from this point forward. Like one would legitimately be insane not to get it, provided you are an average fan of standard Thai-style curries like Red, Panang, or even Las Vegas style Three-color (Red+Green+Yellow). My suggested mod: Ask for your home-crafted noodles a little extra "QQ" or chewy al dente. And ask for a side of their home-made chili oil to step up the Szechuan influence. Normally I shun the fusion or "new-style" menu items, but this Curry Ramen bowl is stuff of dreams. However, I felt let down by the service experience at this restaurant. After we ordered and the pho came, the table looked strangely empty to me. As someone who frequently eats pho; I realized it was because the waitress never brought the bean spouts, leaves, and lemon/lime slices to put into our broth. I asked if this restaurant serves it and she looked at me strangely and said it was already in the pho. I thought it was so odd, so I explained that when I usually go out for pho in my home state of Hawaii, usually there is a separate small dish brought to the table with all of these items to put into the broth. The waitress then asked if I wanted it and I said yes. About ten minutes later, the waitress brought out a plate and she said that in Avon, most people don't want the sprouts. I wasn't sure if this was because I look like most of the people from Avon (Caucasian), even though I am just visiting. If anything, couldn't she have at least asked if we would like it? We enjoyed our pho and were happy to eat it how we usually do and we ate all our extra bean sprouts. The waitress never came back to ask how was the pho or refill our water. I had to request a copy of my receipt because she did not print one out for me. When I was trying to fill out the receipt/tip, the waitress was trying to have a full on conversation with me asking about the financial burden of living in Hawaii... the timing of this sudden chattiness was not good for me. I was ready to get out of there. All in all, pho was great (thank you lady in the kitchen) but service could have been a lot better. Will probably not come back again. Sorry:(

It's located in the Old Avon Village plaza. There were plenty of parking. The interior was nice; it looked like it used to be a frozen yogurt spot. The hostess/waitress was nice. Unfortunately, there is no kids menu, but we were able to get a small bowl to share our noodles with our toddlers. The food came out slowly, considering we were only 1 out of 3 tables. We ordered pork and shrimp spring rolls as an appetizer; it was very good and fresh with the peanut butter sauce. For my meal, I ordered the Pho House Special; it's $20.95 and has rice noodles, medium rare beef, brisket, and meatballs. This bowl was huge! The flavor was good but the broth was very oily. I added more hoison, chili oil, and siracha for more flavor. We didn't have any sauces and napkins, so we had to flag down the waitress a couple of times. Also, they never refilled our waters. I noticed the prices were very high compared to other Vietnamese restaurants I've been to. With everything factored together, I gave them 3.5 stars total.
