    Windsor box with teriyaki salmon
    Jennifer Z.

Windsor Asian Bistro is one of our favorite dinner spots. The servers are always friendly. Annie did a wonderful job making sure we were aware of our food options. We ordered the veggie tempura appetizer, a Windsor Box with teriyaki salmon, and a hibachi dinner with salmon. Both meals came with miso soup and a ginger salad. The food quality is excellent and well prepared. We enjoyed the meal and would order all dishes again. We did ask for a to go box and a little bit of extra teriyaki sauce because we felt the salmon was under sauced. We were charged $1.50 for the less than a Dixie cup full of sauce. Disappointed with that policy.

Yum! We were staying at a hotel across the highway and looking for a quick, but good meal. We found a treasure! The food was excellent. The service was excellent. The owner was attentive. The prices were reasonable. My teriyaki tofu was yummy. My husband enjoyed his Singapore noodles. We'll be back next time we're in town!

Friday night, something different. New place I've been wanting to try. Immaculate restaurant. Great service and spctacular food. Portions are great and the quality and freshness exceeds. This Asian Bistro in Windsor has Chinese, Thai and Japanese cuisine using fresh and authentic ingredients. There is a Sushi bar and drink bar with comfortable, spacious seating. This place is packed tonight and there is still a light background hum of movement and preparation and enough space to feel confortable. A new place for me but will be come more common. The owner greets you with a welcoming smile and brings yiu to your seat. Ive been checked on three times to make sure I had everything. Sets the bar high

Busy on a Friday night between 7-8pm! We had to wait 15-20 min for a table. Nice atmosphere. Feels like a local place where you might run into someone you know but can also be intimate at the same time. Our server was great. She offered us a special app and we jumped on it along w edamame. Both were very good. The scorpion "bowl" for one was STRONG and I'm not complaining haha delicious. For dinner we shared some sushi rolls (TONS of options) and everything tasted fresh but a little heavy. Smelled like gas fumes by the front door; glad we were seated away from the entrance. Some of the interior could use a little love but overall a nice dining experience. This was my second time here and I would gladly return again.

The food here is excellent!! It's reasonably priced and sooo good. The service is also top notch and everyone is really friendly. I highly recommend stopping in for some lunch or dinner. Everything seemed really fresh and super tasty!

We stopped on our way from the airport to the coast. WHAT A GREAT FIND! Having grown up in Japan. I have never been so impressed with an Asian restaurant as I was with this. The Ginger Tea is the best I've bet had BY FAR!!

This is a great little spot, and part of a family of restaurants with similar menus in Granby and Simsbury. Each was is similar but different. We decided to try our normal order here that we get at Table 570 or Han. The fried dumplings were very good but the dipping sauce was a bit lacking flavor, the bbq ribs are sweeter than the other spots. The biggest difference was the chicken. The other locations serve almost a flat strip of chicken vs this one which is like a fried chicken meatball. The sesame sauce is also different and again sweet. Service was prompt and we were seated quickly. Overall this is a good little spot but I think their Simsbury location is the winner

This place never ceases to amaze. The menu is so creative. Presentation is gorgeous, and everything tastes amazing. The owner, Chris, is proud of his establishment and should be. The atmosphere is inviting and warm. Service (thank you, Annie!) is consistently excellent. Fantastic

The menu here has something for everyone and is very good. The ambiance is quiet, with a mix of tables, booths and bar for eating. The servers were very attentive and friendly. I had the General Taos Windsor Box, which included Miso soup, small salad, rice (brown or white), General Taos Chicken, 4 pieces of California Role. I also ordered a side of seaweed salad, which was very good. My wife had Pan Seared Ahi Tuna which she thoroughly enjoyed. See pictures.

Was searching on Yelp and found this restaurant decided to give it a try. Very quaint and beautiful place. We got a very nice server Juliana. She was very attentive and knowledgeable to our questions. The food was outstanding. We definitely will be coming back. Can't wait to try other dishes.

The owner is very friendly, the waitress is very attentive. We order the homemade dumplings which is delicious, we also order beef chow fun, sushi sashimi combo and hongkong wonton noodle soup. Overall is very good except there's a plastic piece in my sashimi I thought I broke my tooth I split it right out and found a long piece plastic.

I was in town for business and was looking for an Asian style restaurant. I happened upon this restaurant on Yelp and decided to give them a try. I came in hungry and was seated quickly and provided a menu. The server came and took my order. I order a tuna tataki app and then a sashimi platter. All delicious. The restaurant is nicely laid out and the atmosphere is relaxed. I would say this place has a Hawaiian Japanese feel to it. But that's just my opinion. Definitely recommend this spot.

Hubby and I had lunch here a couple of weeks ago and it was absolutely delicious! We had their food once before as takeout but so glad we went in person to check them out! Device was great and food was so fresh and so flavorful!!

The dining area is still very sparse in design and coverage. The wait staff were still apathetic, and the wait times for things is still a little long. The Korean fried chicken was very tasty, sweet and salty Korean bbq sauce on perfectly fried wings was delightful. We opted for the pho, and that was very good. The broth was rich and flavorful, no need to season it was perfect already. The brisket was tender and still had a strong brisket flavor. There was a good amount of meat to the bowl and the noodles were fresh. The noodles did clump a bit, but they easily separated when agitated. All of the sushi was not as successful. The rolls lacked any significant flavor and missed some basic elements of sushi preparation. The rice was not seasoned, was not sticky, and the fish was roughly cut. The spicy rolls lacked spice and the crunchy rolls lacked crunch. It was presented well, just didn't show the level of care the front of the menu had. We informed our server of the sushi problems and she apologized but still charged us for all the sushi. Making an otherwise great experience not so great. I would recommend those who come here to focus on the front of the menu exclusively. Those dishes are stellar and are well worth the asking price. The sushi menu on the back is basic in flavor, pricy, and only worth having if you really need sushi. It does limit their menu significantly, but the quality difference is drastic.

Our friends had driven from the Albany area on business, so we didn't want to compromise their ride back with alcohol and we all had a nice cup of green tea ($2) for starters. Izumi's menu may take you a while to get through, because it is quite comprehensive, with soups, salads, hot and cold appetizers. Sushi rolls and sushi entrees, Special sushi rolls, Teriyaki/Katsu/Tempura/Shogayaki and Chef Specials, Hibachi plates, Noodle dishes and soups, and plenty of Bento Box or sushi lunch specials. My wife and I both ordered from their Lunch Specials menu. She had a Tempura Shrimp and Vegetable Bento Box ($14.50). It included a soup (or salad), 4 slices of California roll, two Shumai dumplings, three small vegetables, a big scoop of rice, and the tempuras - two shrimps, an onion ring, a broccoli floret and a sweet potato wedge. My order was a decent sized bowl of vegetable tofu soup ($4.50) and a Two Roll Maki Sushi Special (Salmon and Tuna Avocado) for $12.50. The rolls were appropriately "lunch sized" and were very good. The Age Tofu was pretty good as a general consensus, though most of the fried stuff was a bit too oily. The Kani Salad was pretty good (their spicy mayo is tasty). The fish is decent quality and fresh. Most of the sushi didn't have too much rice, which I liked. The rice held together well. Still, I prefered the "tataki" (sashimi with ponzu) over the sushi. I do wish they had a regular scallop sushi, as the spicy scallop sushi is a small piece of scallop with lots of spicy mayo and rice.
