Good but great. I had the Unagi Don, I.e. eel on rice, it was a little better than average.

My friend and I went to the Teriyaki Box for some sushi, before going to see a show at a near by theater. Teriyaki Box has a huge menu of sushi, noodles, soups and more. We came for the sushi. You can order a regular roll, a special roll, or you can have it all, if you get the all you can eat menu. You must have at least two in your party to get access to the all you can eat menu. This is $35 per person. It was Sunday when we went it, it might be a bit less expensive during the week. We figured this might be the best value, as one roll of the special sushi is $15.99. You'll be given a menu that you can mark off all the items, that you would be interested in. Don't over do it! Our waiter said it is their policy to charge you an additional fee for any uneaten food. So we marked off two items, then two more. For some reason, we were the only ones dining here on this evening, which is typically a bad sign about the food. However, each of our sushi rolls was super fresh, flavorful and delicious! We also had a seaweed salad, this is my must get any time with sushi, and it didn't disappoint. The service of course was very fast, since we were the only ones here. The only thing that I was a bit underwhelmed by was the green tea ice cream. It came in a cute little glass cup, but the ice cream seemed to be freezer burned, it was very hard to get my spoon into it. Overall, Teriyaki Box is an excellent place to get fresh, delicious sushi!

Amazing lunch specials. The bento box had so much food. The rolls were also great. I liked that there wasn't a ton of rice compared to the fillings.

Quick stop for lunch, got 3 sweet potato rolls and Taro Bubble tea! Super filling, tasty and exactly what I was craving. Want to try some raw fish options next time. Waitress at the front was very kind & friendly! This place has all you can eat sushi....I think it was around $30 a person. Definitely will try that some time!

Teriyaki Box was a lovely little place we found after wandering around Manchester! It was a Friday evening and thankfully wasn't busy so we were able to grab a table easily. The restaurant was very clean and spaced out which is always a plus. Our order was taken quickly and we got our drinks quickly. For our meal we ordered the sushi combo for 2 and Thai teas. Our meal came with an assortment of different nigiris. My favorite were the salmon and red clam. It was a HUGE serving and we couldn't finish it all. It was very generous and we enjoyed the California and dragon roll that came on the side! A lot of our nigiri pieces kept falling apart when picking it up, especially when trying to dip in soy sauce. I also thought the rice could have been cooked a bit more as it was a bit hard. Otherwise, it was a lovely meal with great quality fish! We loved that each fish was separated with a piece of lemon. It was delicious and we look forward to coming back! I highly recommend this place!

I took our lunch from here. Bento box was a favorite. I went for a teriyaki chicken bento box. Good amount of teriyaki chicken over rice with one shrimp tempura and some veg tempura plus california roll, 2 shumai and a soup or salad. Everything taste good. Bento box was good value as well. Beef fried rice was good. I went for a taro bubble tea as well. It was ok. I dont recommend their bubble tea. Bubbles were a little harder than usual plus flavor didn't have a punch.

Beautiful takeout. Everything you need. Not one mistake. Thank you. From the bottom of my heart Fr.

Should be called TeriYummy box! Got my miso ramen to go! It was so good I felt like I was eating at Ichiraku Ramen (Naruto reference)! Warning it is very salty. The miso and the fillings comes separately so you can add them together at home. I was very surprised at how classy the establishment was on the inside! I will definitely be going back for a sit down dinner!

Wow, wow, wow! Quality sushi at an amazing price! We of course came for the "All you can eat" and they did not disappoint. The restaurant is smell-free meaning the fish is fresh. The service is great and you can check off on a sheet what you want to order when it comes to the all you can eat. If you follow the rules, you can also become a member which gives you a great discount for your next visit! I will 100% be coming back as it's a great date and spot to take your friends!

Once I got there was very disappointed in the fact that they no longer have the all you can eat available, since no where on the app it is stated. Interior was clean and well decorated, service was great, the food was great as well. Come out fast, and presentation as well as flavor was incredible. 7/10 would recommend

I've had this place several times for takeout. My favorite is the Hibachi Bowl with Chicken and Chicken Tempura Roll. However, I was always curious about the All You Can Eat advertised on the menu. So, being a fan of similar restaurants like Sushi House in Rocky Hill and hearing they opened the All You Can Eat menu again, I decided to try it. Though it was the first time I had dined inside, the restaurant still looked excellent when I picked up my orders, like Kobe in Manchester with the lighting and atmosphere in all the best ways. The AYCE menu has two sections, Kitchen (the non-sushi bar stuff) and Sushi (the Sushi Bar items). I ordered favorites like the California Roll and new things like the Dumpling Soup. It surprised me for all the right reasons. The food was fantastic. The kitchen items were all hot and fresh and were friendly apps to the main course. The dumpling soup was a surprise favorite, with some good broth and fresh dumplings. The sushi was as fresh as ever and was very tasty. Though I was disappointed the Chicken Tempura Roll wasn't on the AYCE menu, the Shrimp Tempura is still a decent substitute. Everything also came out in a timely matter, and the service was excellent. I would 100% go here again, whether it be takeout or dine-in.

I went for the all you can eat sushi. Rolls were huge and very well made. The fish was good quality and tasty. Highly recommended.

Ask the Community - Teriyaki Box

Do they still do all you can eat sushi or was it stopped? If they still do it, how much does it cost per person?

Hi I actually just called today and asked that same question, they do still offer it and its 33.99 per person. I called on a tuesday so I'm not sure if the price differs on the weekend.

I'm back! The restaurant is located at 415 Hartford Tpke, Vernon, CT. It's been about four months…read moresince I was here. This is a family run, laid back place. The music is Classical Japanese. For our first drink. We are having a French Martini made with Grey Goose vodka, Chambord and a splash of pineapple juice. This taste great! They don't use garnishes here and I don't really care. It's well balanced! For our first item, we're having the House Salad. This is made with iceberg lettuce snd a little tomato. This ginger dressing is the best! I love this stuff! For out next item, we ate having an "Oki salad." A traditional Samurai Salad is a Japanese-inspired dish featuring grilled firm tofu, mixed greens, and a pungent ginger dressing. Key ingredients include firm tofu, soy sauce, white wine vinegar, grated fresh ginger, sesame seeds, green onions, and tomato slices. It is often garnished with toasted sesame seeds and served with a soy-ginger vinaigrette. Well, whatever it is! It's quite good! Wow! For our next item, we are having the miso soup. Miso soup is a traditional Japanese staple, combining savory, umami-rich miso paste with a dashi (fish or kelp) broth, typically featuring tofu, seaweed (wakame), and green onions. It is simple to make in under 20 minutes, offering a nutritious, comforting side dish known for aiding digestion, high protein, and mineral content. This is nice and hot! Huge bowl too! For our next item, we are having edamame. Edamame is an East Asian dish prepared with immature soybeans in their pods, which are boiled or steamed, and may be served with salt or other condiments. It is consumed in many world regions. Edamame is a common side dish in Chinese cuisine, Japanese cuisine and as an appetizer to alcoholic beverages, such as beer or shōchū. As an ingredient, edamame is used in both sweet and savory dishes, such as takikomi gohan, tempura, and zunda-mochi. These are steaming hot! Nice and salty too! Well, put comes the complementary Tuna Tataki. This thinly sliced seared tuna with ponzu sauce. This is fantastic! Wow! For our next item, we are having the Blackened Salmon which is sliced with ponzu sauce. This is spicy! Add soy sauce! This is great! For our next drink, we are having a Melon ball made with Midori vodka and orange juice. This is well balanced! No garnish as normal here! It tastes great! For our next item, we are having Ikura. Red caviar, also known as salmon roe or ikura caviar, is a popular seafood delicacy that comes from salmon and trout roe. It's known for its bright orange color, medium-sized eggs, and thin shells. Red caviar is a staple of Russian cuisine, often eaten during holidays like New Year's. It's high in omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins, and minerals, and is considered a good source of nutrition. Different types of salmon roe have unique tastes, colors, textures, and sizes. A "taste of the ocean." What's better than that! For our next item, I'm having the Spicy Eel and Shrimp Hand Roll. A hand roll (temaki) is a cone-shaped sushi item featuring seasoned sushi rice, fillings (sashimi-grade fish, seafood, vegetables), and a crisp, toasted nori sheet wrapper. Assembled by hand and eaten immediately by hand (without chopsticks), it offers a customizable, crunchy, and easier-to-make alternative to traditional maki sushi. These are good! Sushi snow cones! For our last drink, we are having the Caribbean Joy. This is made with Bacardi rum, pineapple and lemon juice. This is good! It's the rum version of the last drink! It's quite good! For our entree, we are having the Volcano Roll made with peppery salmon, gently fried, spicy tuna and red/hot sauce. Look at the presentation! OMG! For dessert, I have no idea what's coming out! Oh yeah! This is the bomb! OMG! The surprise of the night! Tempura ice cream! What better than this!!!!

We stopped in around 3PM, no one else in the place at the time. We spent $75, no alcohol (+$20 tip). Appetizers, included salads, miso soup, chicken tempura and softshell crab. Main courses were seafood tempura and cashew chicken. Nothing seemed to be extraordinarily bad or good. I did notice a fly buzzing around, something that could be concerning, especially inside a sushi restaurant. I didn't give it much thought, I just remember noticing it. Later that day and night, we both began experiencing gastrointestinal issues, requiring many trips to the bathroom, it lasted thru to the next day. If it had only been just one of us, I probably wouldn't have given it much thought or would be leaving this review,. However, since we both had problems, I feel I should put it out there in case anyone else reading this had issues (or worse) from that day (Thursday, 10/30/25). We did not get sick to our stomachs, just 14-16 hours of staying close to the bathroom. I have always enjoyed everything at Higashi and never had a complaint, I say they were all 5-star experiences. After this, I won't risk coming back- I have no doubt we were served something that caused our intestinal distress. Service was great, place appeared clean and why I gave 2 stars. But it bothers me to see any flies inside an eatery, especially since the season and weather was not conducive for fly breeding, flies had to originate from inside the restaurant, they did not wander in from outside.... I've seen too many 'Bar Rescues' to know not all kitchens are kept clean and/or food stored safely. If one sees a fly or flies, it may be in one's best interest to walk out. This rule can be applied to any restaurant, especially ones that not open to the outside and/or during a season that is well past fly-breeding conditions. I learned the hard way and will make this a rule of thumb from now on.

They don't have their own restrooms; it is in the building (go down the stairs, then to the left under the stairs). They have AYCE and regular menu items. They can get pretty busy, so it may take a bit to get your order, but they are good at making sure you get your whole order. The service is friendly as well. We ordered a large variety. The Age Tofu was pretty good as a general consensus, though most of the fried stuff was a bit too oily. The Kani Salad was pretty good (their spicy mayo is tasty). The fish is decent quality and fresh. Most of the sushi didn't have too much rice, which I liked. The rice held together well. Still, I prefered the "tataki" (sashimi with ponzu) over the sushi. I do wish they had a regular scallop sushi, as the spicy scallop sushi is a small piece of scallop with lots of spicy mayo and rice. The special rolls (we got Fancy Tuna, Enter the Dragon, Mango Tango and Spider Roll) are pretty heavy, as most of the flavor is from the sauces. You can order things without the dressing or sauces (see the house salad without dressing....yes, it's just lettuce lol) Make sure to save room for ice cream! They have Vanilla, Green Tea (Matcha), Strawberry, and Fried (Vanilla). The Green Tea is a really strong matcha, which I love! For $28/weekend adult pricing, it's a pretty good deal. While many enjoy the entertaining hibachi chefs and diverse menu, some customer reviews mention inconsistent service and food quality, though the atmosphere is generally described as fun and vibrant, with happy hour available daily. This place is packed! Music seems authentic. They quickly seated us and served ice water. For my first drink, I'm having the Classic Manhattan made with Woodland Reserve bourbon, sweet vermouth, Angostura bitters and a brandied cherry. I like the garnish! This is balanced perfectly. I would prefer a large ice cube but not here. I like it! For my appetizer, I'm trying h the Spicy Edamame. Edamame is a popular East Asian dish of immature soybeans in the pod, typically boiled or steamed and served with salt, though it's also enjoyed in many other preparations like spicy garlic, roasted with parmesan, or added to salads and stir-fries. To prepare, the pods are cooked briefly and then seasoned, often with garlic, ginger, soy sauce, or chili, and can be served in the pod (popping beans out) or shelled. These are cooked perfectly! They are sliced more than you would expect! For my soup, I'm trying the Mushroom Soup. This is chicken broth with mushrooms and scallions. It's more well known as Hibachi soup. Hibachi soup, or Japanese clear soup, is a light, savory broth served as a starter in steakhouses. It is made by simmering chicken and beef broth with caramelized onions, carrots, garlic, ginger, and mushrooms for at least an hour. Key garnishes include fresh mushrooms, green onions, and fried onions. It's warm and tasty. The mushrooms are cut real thin. I am also getting the seaweed salad. Seaweed salad (wakame) is a nutritious, savory-sweet Japanese side dish featuring rehydrated wakame seaweed, toasted sesame oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame seeds. Often served in sushi restaurants, it is high in vitamins K and C, calcium, and magnesium. It is best served chilled and can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. This is good! I live this study! I'm also having the Green Garden Salad made with fresh lettuce, heirloom tomatoes and cucumbers "drenched" (well, no) on their "famous" ginger dressing. That is a LOT of dressing! Huge portion too! This is great! For another appetizer, I'm having the Sashimi Jalapeño which is jalapeño peppers over two pieces each of salmon, tuna and yellowtail finished with wasabi mayo. This is real easy to eat! Thanks for the extra jalapeños! For my next item, I'm having the Salmon Roe (Ikura). Red caviar, or salmon roe, is a popular delicacy of bright red-orange fish eggs known for their large size, juicy "pop," and mild, slightly salty flavor, making them a favorite for both caviar connoisseurs and beginners. Harvested from salmon, particularly from the Pacific, it's rich in omega-3s and used in dishes like sushi, on blinis, or as a garnish. Yummy! This is a taste of the ocean! For my next drink, I'm having the All Fashioned made with Bulleit Rye, lemon juice, simple syrup, All Dram Spice and Orange Bitters. This is well balanced and tastes great! I love the three Amarena cherry garnish! For my next item. I'm having the Spicy Salmon Roll made with chopped salmon, spicy mayo and crunch. This is tasty! Wow! For my entree, I'm having the [riceless] Pink Lady Roll made with spicy scallops, avocado, yellowtail, jalapeno and sriracha sauce. This is greats Nice and spicy! Melts in your mouth! For my last drink, I'm having the Jamaican Coffee made with Tia Maria and fresh brewed coffee. This is good! I added a little cream which is rare for me. For dessert, we are having the Tempura Ice Cream (green tea) and Vanilla Crepe Cake made with eleven harmonized layers of delicate, house-made crepes lightly frosted by a subtly flavored, lightly sweetened, velvety whipped cream stacked over a sponge-like base. These are good! The Crepe Cake is very light. What a great meal here!

I received a promotional coupon for here and decided to try it out!…read more FOOD -I opted for a spicy chicken bowl with brown rice and veggies -I really like that the veggies are included and that they allowed me to get it with no onions. -very fresh bowl, veggies cooked well still with a little bite (crisp) to them -the chicken is dark meat which I love, cooked perfectly with some nice grill marks! -I think the spice factor can go up a little bit for the spicy chicken, but I will say it did build as I continued eating. -I thought the bowl was a bit lacking in flavor for my first few bites but I poured some of the teriyaki side sauce they give you on it and felt satisfied. I didn't use much but just to help coat the veggies/rice that didn't get much of the coating from the chicken on them. THE STAFF -very friendly, answered my questions no problem -kind, efficient THE ATMOSPHERE -it's in a little plaza so no outdoor seating but a good amount of indoor spots -I was here at lunch time on a Friday and could easily get a table to eat at -from what I saw (mostly sticking to front of store/near cash register area) it looked very neat and clean Overall, I would go back! The portion size (I got a regular) was really good for me to eat a hearty lunch and have some leftovers. I really enjoyed the freshness of the food and with the lovely staff and cleanliness of the place I would say I will definitely be back for lunch again!
