Although I know there are multiple Fresh Monkey locations, the one in Wethersfield was their first location, and so I decided to make the trip! Located in a shopping plaza on Silas Deane Highway, the inside is pretty large and nicely decorated. They have an area right when you walk in that's more cozy, with a couch and couple of lounge chairs. The also have a few regular tables to sit at. I went on a Saturday late morning, and the place wasn't too busy. There was only one employee working, but she kept up with the orders and the service was fast. I ordered the Chocolate Dipped Strawberry Moon, which had chocolate protein powder, cocoa powder, chocolate cookie, banana, and strawberries. It was delicious! And filling! I like that they use all fresh fruit and no artificial flavors or syrups. I would definitely recommend any Fresh Monkee location, but this one especially, for a healthy, wholesome shake! read more

I go to the Braintree Fresh Monkey. Today, I was not asked to put my phone number in. I've already earned points. I bought 2, 1 for me, 1 fir my Grandson. I was not asked to put in my phone number and lost points! I'm not happy. I believe in should've been told. It was too late after I paid $20. I'm disappointed. I go on Wednesday after my Grandson has speech. The employee should've asked me my number. Feel like I got ripped off. Earning points is a bonus for me. Not sure if I'm going back. I ordered a lime green mango shake/smoothie this morning. There was no wait and the service was friendly. The decor - monkey and jungle themed. It had apple, apple juice, lime, mango, chia seed, flax seed, and spinach. I may have missed something. It tasted good. I noticed apple, mango and lime flavors the most. Just a great Fresh Monkee location in my hometown of Wethersfield. Easily accessible from the highway, it is right on the Silas Deane, but also hides in plain sight. I have came here multiple times and every single visit my order comes out the same and my military discount is honored everytime no issues. I never had an issue in regard to waiting time, it is either immediately or reasonable considering the situation as sometimes it is very busy in the morning. I would say this is one of Fresh Monkee's "tighter" locations but there are a few chairs and a sofa for you to enjoy your shake. Typically I order a Dirty Monkey w/almond milk, extra scoop of vegan protein powder and no chocolate syrup. Comes out perfect every single time and this consistency is important as one time at one of their other locations the consistency was horrible and was not blended completely which did not help the situation. So yes, this is my go to Fresh Monkee location and in my own experience they are the most consistent one as well. read more

I went to the Wethersfield location this afternoon and was very warmly greeted by the two young women working today. They helpfully explained the menu and offered up some favorite choices. I picked the chocolate pumpkin smoothie and asked for coconut milk as a substitute. I was impressed that I was told which other ingredients included some form of dairy, trace or otherwise. The finished product was perfect. My only regret was that there isn't a Fresh Monkee closer to me. Quick note, TFM is easy to miss tucked into a plaza, so slow down and look for it. Stop in here after work the other day to pick up a smoothie since I had errands to run and wouldn't be having dinner till late. The staff member was very helpful and friendly. She happily answered all my questions. Having read the reviews before going I knew they had a 24oz smoothie size, even though it was not on the menu nor did the staff mention it. I got the 24oz smores smoothie with almond milk. It was good but had a little chalky taste from the protein powder. Please note the menu doesn't include prices and since I only got the 24oz I was thinking it would be around $4 something. Boy was I wrong. The reason I am giving them only 3 stars is mainly because I feel though the smoothie was good it was not worth the $6 and change price tag. Went to the FM today in Wethersfield and purchased a Coffee buzz shake and told the girl I'm lactose intolerant so to use almond milk instead of milk. I think I know the answer now - I stopped by and grabbed a snack sized smoothie 3 out of the 5 days I was in town! I'm a creature of habit, so I stuck with the PB & J (I know I got that wrong, but you'll know what I'm talking about if you see the menu). I swapped the cow's milk for almond, and the whey protein for pea protein, and oh em gee. Delish. My friend had been raving about the Fresh Monkee since summer and I finally got the chance to try. I love that they have an early opening time (6:30AM) which allows me to grab a smoothie before heading to work! The Fresh Monkee is located in a little nook with 3 other establishments. Parking is a little snug but the lot is never too packed. The inside is super clean and straightforward. Amazing customer service. I've been 3 times in 1 week! The cashier/smoothie extraordinare has been super friendly and quick. I think all of my smoothies took 3 - 4 mins to make before I was headed back out the door! They have a huge list of smoothies with the option to add more to the smoothie or make your own. They offer 3 sizes, small (12 oz), snack (24 oz) and meal replacement (32 oz) and trust the meal replacement really is a meal replacement. I ordered the ultimate green at 7:20AM and wasn't hungry until almost noon.
