I LOVE FRESH MONKEE!! So far I've only tried 2 of their smoothies - the Coffee Buzz and the Chocolate Pumpkin but I can't wait to try more! Whats not to love? Serving sizes are gigantic, 32 oz for $7-8, staff is friendly and always happy to suggest an item off the huge menu, and they can literally customize any part of your order to your liking. I love grabbing a smoothie and sitting down on their couch at the Wethersfield location just to chill and enjoy a break. Can't say enough good things about the fresh monkee. I started going to Wethersfield way back in 2015 while going to school on the Silas Deane. Judy was always so helpful and knowledgeable. With the new location in Berlin I'm now able to shamelessly go almost everyday! Everyone is so helpful. Today in particular I had the young gentleman waiting on me, never got his name, but he was so nice. We talked about adding things to my shake and he gave me some options and wanted to make sure I was happy with my shake before I left (I ALWAYS am). Glad Wethersfield has a place like this. I went in for the first time this week. They have a list of different smoothie and juice options, and also make it easy to customize your own. The staff was knowledgable about the ingredients. I decided to make my own with the vegan protein and was very happy with it. I cannot get enough of these shakes. They use fresh ingredients and have options for the type of milk you want. There a menu or you can create your own. My two favorites are the chunky monkee and the hazelnut monkee. As a meal replacement I am always full. The size and price are good. These are also not your typical smoothie. They are light and frothy. I normally suck mine down before I'm out of the parking lot. The owner and employees are very friendly and knowledgeable. It's a cute spot and the ingredients were super fresh. Sadly, both smoothies I've had were totally disgusting. I don't like chocolate or peanut butter and those smoothies seem to be their strength. I had the apple juice smoothie and it was bland and boring. Today, I had the berry smoothie and it was truly awful. Maybe there was too much spinach. Hooray!! Finally, the juicy smoothie movement has made its way to Hartford area! This spot is awesome! It is right in the middle of busy Wethersfield, and offers a variety of super fresh, made on the spot juices and smoothies. I ordered the special of the day, Watermelon Mint juice, which is so simple, and so refreshing. The cups are huge and the prices are extremely fair. The Peanut butter jelly smoothie with almond milk and chocolate protein is the best. Shelby always makes it perfect. I have it about 1-2 times a week and I always look forward to it. Keeps me satisfied for about 6 hours and through my workout! Yum. read more

Really like that they use unsweetened almond and coconut milk as their lactose free choices. Would be nice if they used all organic fruit and veggies. Very tasty options and so cool they throw Quest protein bars in some of the shakes. They are expensive so would not go daily. read more

Wonderful spot for fresh juices & smoothies! All natural, not a fake sugary syrup drink. Prices are great & the drink cups are huge. Hours on yelp are wrong, yelp says Saturday open until 12, but they are actually open until 5. So glad I found this new place. read more

I love this place! Lots of great different flavors and only fresh whole foods used, no pre-packed syrups or intense sugar shots. Each shake is pricey, ~$7 but they are huge and serve as true meal replacements. Only downfall is that they are small and have some off hours that don't always coincide with the 9-5 working set. I tried the Fresh Monkee for the first time this morning. Walking in, I have to say I did not expect what I saw. Cozy chairs in a sitting area, a small radio playing in the corner, refreshing air conditioning. The very friendly girl behind the counter helped me to decide which flavor to try. When I told her it's my first time, she explained how it works, what the sizes are. Behind me was a regular customer, I assume, since they knew each other. I didn't feel rushed, and the shake I ordered is amazing. This is the kind of place I love to visit. Everyone should try it! Except not this one, this one is mine and I don't want waves of customers blocking me from more of these delicious shakes. read more

So freaking good! As other have pointed out, these are not smoothies made with some barrel of sludge from a factory or a bunch of artificial flavors and colors. They are made fresh with real ingredients when you order them. The owner is extremely nice and helpful and the vibe is relaxing a welcoming. Every smoothie I have had here has been fantastic. In addition, they stock all manner of nutritional supplements as well. Portions are huge and you could certainly have a Fresh Monkey smoothie as a meal if you get one with protein. Single-handedly one of my favorite juice spots that is also vegan friendly. Whenever I'm around the area I have to stop in. I'm able to get in and get out pretty fast. Pricing for juice is fairly less then some of the other places I go to. If you're into raw and all things organic this is the place.
