Came in to get a drink because when I tried to order on the app it says the drink was sold out. Quite a few people were inside talking and enjoying their drink however I did not realize that they were also waiting on their orders. The location was well-organized and pretty clean and the aroma of coffee was amazing. The staff was very slow though. They were working at their own pace and seemed to have no care that customers were waiting. One guy seemed new so I was not too hard on him. I tried ordering in the app so I did not have to wait but my drink was unavailable. I stood for 15 minutes before my order was finally ready. Update to my review many months later. They have now moved a few buildings over and now have a drive-through. The space is so much bigger and they are a lot of people on coffee dates or just having business meetings. The seats are more comfortable and it provides a great workspace despite the average noise. The staff was exceptional and you can see that they enjoyed working here. So much different from the staff of the original location. I changed my order this time and order a latte as I always only get frappuccino. I had a delicious caramel latte. I added more caramel to ensure it was to my liking as I prefer my drink on the sweeter side. There is also how an outdoor seating area which will be perfect for the summer. read more

This is the slowest Starbucks I have ever been to whether there is 1 person or 4 working in the morning.

I'm not exaggerating when I say it took 30 minutes for them to make two coffees. And it wasn't that it was crazy. It was steady. I wasn't even in the drive-through. I was in the café and when I came in there was one car in the drive-through They literally just worked so slow. Stop asking people to tip when your coffees are already seven dollars and you give no effort to your work. read more

As with many Starbucks, during peak coffee times, it can get crowded. There is a drive through, clean facilities, and many tables open to grab a coffee or lunch with friends during a lunch hour. The staff at this particular Starbucks are very kind. I once had a question and Taylor, one of the baristas, was SO sweet and helpful. I appreciated her patience! This Starbucks is under staffed and caters to the Looooong drive through line. If you order ahead you will WAIT! if you go in you will WAIT atleast 5 minutes before you are even acknowledged and 5-8 minutes before your order is taken. Then you will WAIT upwards of another 10 minutes before you get your order. Not friendly, long WAIT and they WONT GET YOUR ORDER RIGHT!!!!! My LAST and FINAL experience at this Starbucks was despite ordering ahead, I got there and had to WAIT and the I saw 3 different staff handling my drink BEFORE it got to me!!! Yes, they have the same exact thing as every Starbucks has, except they have the best employees. Every time I have gone here they have me in and out of the place in under 5 minutes. But they don't skimp on the care though. They take pride in what they do, and it shows not only on their faces, but in their coffee. Whether it is straight up black coffee, no bells and whistles, or it's the most complicated drink in the world, they will get it done fast, perfect the first time, and with a smile on their face. They really know what they are doing here. And that is why I go out of my way every day that I am working to go here instead of the one that is next door to my workplace. read more

Went in for a double espresso to sit inside. Twenty minutes waiting for my beverage and they put ice in it and had to remake it. It took two minutes to remake it so why 20 minutes for the first time. Starbucks needs to prioritize walk in customers over all the drive in and app orders. read more

I tried to give this Starbucks another chance. It is the absolute worst service of any Starbucks I've ever been to in this country . You can never way less than a half hour even when you order a mobile order 20 minutes in advance I have been late to work 4 to 5 times, because tgey just can't get it together. There is no system. If you order a mobile order, they ask you what your name is when you get in the door so they first start making your order. It makes no sense. An easy place to get to from Cottage Grove in Bloomfield. I would suggest ordering ahead of time to beat the corporate rush from the nearby Hartford and Aetna for those workers that need their coffee in the morning. Usually one of my favorite Starbucks locations. However I'm a stickler for getting my specialty drink as it looks in the marketing photos. Today, I switched it up to a Vanilla Sweet cream cold brew, a splash of vanilla cream over the deep dark coffee. It was shaken/stirred. Disappointed. Gasp, she writes about a coffee chain?! Yup. When I go to get a chain shop drink, I make sure to go to a good location of said chain shop. I find this to be one of the best Starbucks locations ever, in all of the Starbucks locations that I have visited. The staff is always friendly and pretty efficient, all things considered including that it takes what seems like eons to get a basic [as in simple and not extra] drink. (Why do we have to complicate things so much to order a coffee?) Fancy shmancy drinks aside, the staff makes this location notable. Pro tip: Download the Starbucks app and order a few minutes ahead of when you want to pick your drink up, especially for your morning commute into work. I did just that recently and picked my drink up within several minutes of tapping order on my phone and driving to this location. It was perfect. A barista saw me walk in and look at a couple of drinks on the pick-up counter and asked me what I was looking for; when I gave him my order and name, he said that it would be out momentarily, went back to work, and I had my latte in hand walking out the door within a minute or so. My shortest wait ever at Starbucks. There were several drinks lined up and ready to be picked up just like mine, so that's the way go if you need to get going to work but still want that extra caffeine boost. This order-ahead thing may be good too at different peak times in the day as it is down the road from the University of Hartford; you may find yourself sitting next to or ordering behind some college students. Starbucks is Starbucks, so you know what you're getting in terms of product. Prices are a little high, but are reasonable when comparing to local coffee shops that up their prices for, again, a basic [not extra, but simple] drink. Stopped into this Starbucks for coffee quickly. Much like most things in the West Hartford/Bloomfield Area, no drive through but they do have 15 minute spots. When we went in, there was a bit of a line and lots of people working. We waited in line and our particular visit was during the promo when the holiday "Buy one for you and a friend" promos. The sign clearly stated that it was any holiday drink. My friend ordered and then I tried to order a peppermint mocha Frappuccino and was told Frappuccinos were not included in the promo. So I ordered a peppermint mocha latte (which I later learned was a great choice because the Frappuccino left a lot to be desired). While we waited, I pursued the adverts and the website and it didn't say anything anywhere about that. I was a bit annoyed but the iced latte was good. I just wish their advertising was a bit more clear. I will say the guy at the register did explain to us that it wasn't part of it instead of not saying anything. The one star comes from our getting home a half hour later with emails saying my reload settings have been changed to $100 Everytime the balance falls below $100, and some turd with the fake email of dontsad318 at Gmail accepted a $100 gift card from my account. Big coincidence given that I only do starbucks very infrequently. I flipping LOVE this Starbucks. Yes, it can be a pain to get in and out of here in the morning during commute hours but this location has the best and friendliest cashiers, barristas and managers. I stop here 3-4 times a week as I work right across the street and they know how to keep the lines moving while keeping a warm, friendly and inviting atmosphere. As I stop here frequently, the morning staff has my order memorized and will ask if I want the "usual" or if I want to try something else. This Starbucks is literally 0.5 miles from my house, which makes it incredibly convenient and, as a result, incredibly expensive and habit-forming for me. However, I feel lucky to be so close to the best Starbucks I have ever visited. I have been in branches from Vermont to Texas to California, and none of them had the consistency and ambiance of this Starbucks. Every single time I go in, at least two employees say hello and goodbye. Everything is prepared quickly but with great care and quality. I have never had so much as one latte too weak or strong, and have never left questioning my coffee shop decisions. Five stars - for what it is, it is the best. read more

After the HORRIBLE customer service experience I had recently, (actually lack there of,) it's reassuring to know that customer service really is not dead after all! (Read my review for Family dollar and you'll see exactly what I'm talking about....) Every single Starbucks I've ever gone into has always been 'clean as a whistle' and this one was no exception! All the floors, windows, counters - everything in fact seems like it's disinfected and cleaned on a routine enough of a basis. In just the time that I stood in line waiting for my order, I was impressed with how clean and neat some of their employees were. One employee was sweeping up while another one made sure the serving area remained clean/wiped in between orders. For a fellow 'germophobe' like me (lol), that is a huge plus! The service itself was also impressive. All, (and I mean ALL) of the employees there are very friendly and courteous. I was also impressed with how well all of them work together! All of them seemed to be having a great time while doing their jobs and as we all know, that does not always happen all the time. Especially in the food and service industry. The coffee itself is always amazing, and addictive to (lol)! And made just the way I prefer, which as we all know with coffee orders is always going to be unique to each person's tastes. I stopped in here at lunch time for an iced coffee and a quick bite. The line moved quickly, the iced coffee was delicious. The cashier/barista were both very helpful and friendly. My only problem was the limited food options. I came in shortly before 1pm and there was nothing left in the cold display case area. I ended up getting an asiago soft pretzel. Customer service is always great here and the drinks obviously never disappoint. Caramel frappucino and strawberries and cream are my 2 favorites. My only issue with this location in particular is that the bathrooms weren't clean. There were pieces of toilet paper all over the floor and it smelt bad.
