As this business has 2 yelp listings, I will repeat the review I have written on the other one: My wife went to Star Nail yesterday (6/24/25). She was looking forward to the massage chair and a manicure and pedicure. This trip was ruined by the fact the owners 5 year old child was running amok down the establishment and screaming at everyone. My wife mentioned it to her manicurist and was told: "Don't say anything. It is the owner's child." It later transpired the child's Grandparents were there who were making things worse by encouraging afore mentioned child to carry on causing mayhem. This totally ruined what should have been a nice relaxing atmosphere and my wife has already told me she is going to find somewhere else. Definitely not a place to go if you want to relax while you get your nails done. read more

I absolutely love this place! They give the longest most luxurious pedicures at better prices than any other I've found. I've only had to wait a few times when they were really busy, but usually I can call the same day and get my requested appt time. The owner is super nice and I love the complimentary beverages. I don't often have time for a mani, but when I do, they last FOREVER. read more

I rarely leave reviews, but this was the best pedicure I've had in a long time!!! I am in town visiting family and needed a pedicure so called a few places and this was the best price. I was very impressed with all the things included in just the basic pedicure!! This was also the longest pedicure I have received in a long time, she took her time and didn't just rush through like most places do. Kim and her husband offer a clean, attractive, friendly nail salon. Kim especially likes to chat and her English is very good. They have 2 kids in college and work hard at their business. I have been going to Star Nails for about 5 years and have always had a pleasant experience with my mani/pedi. HGTV is playing, so if you don't want to chat, you can watch TV. Because there are only 2 of them, they prefer appointments, but will take walk-ins, realizing that you may have to wait awhile. If there is no customer by 6:30pm, they may close then, but if you make a 6pm appointment for after work, they will accommodate that. You can't beat their price of $30. for mani/pedi. This place is good except every time I go it's a gamble. Sometimes it's good sometimes it's bad. Recently I went in for a full set , I went in at 10am and she told me to come back in an hour. When I returned I had to wait another 40 minutes, I wasn't too upset with waiting until I saw the results. Everything was rushed since they only have two workers they get busy so fast. We made an apt for 2pm and when we walked in there were only 2 people working. They were very attentive to us which was nice, but I would try and talk to the guy and his attitude wasn't very warming. I asked for the French tip ombré which is shown in the photo and the collage is what I ended up with. The acrylic is way over the edge of my nail beds on the sides and it looks like I put press ons onto my nail. Initially he made them so thick and every time I asked him to file it thinner it was like I was asking for gold. My left middle finger is the worst. It's still so thick and looks like a bubble. The last time I asked him to thin it out he actually cut me with the file and now it's sore. My right thumb is drastically longer than my left. And my right pinky is doing its own thing. Has no shape like the others, I showed him 3 times and he continuously filed it on the wrong side to make it go more to the right! My right index finger doesn't even look like an ombré. Finally I got fed up. The friend I was with asked for black nails with a deep red accent nail, she ended up getting a deep violet! When she called she said the lady was so rude over the phone, and then eventually said we could come back and redo them. WHY THE HELL WOULD WE GO BACK WHEN YOU COULDN'T DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME? I should've known when I first walked in because it wasn't very clean and definitely out of date. Next time sir, when someone asks you to do the picture, just say you can't instead of wasting 2 ours of their time, and your own. read more

The manicure lasted only 2 days before it chipped off, and now that I have removed the polish completely, I can see That he was way too rough pushing the cuticles back and several of my nails are damaged and scraped. I guess that's what I get for trying to get a deal. Maybe they treat their regulars better, but its hard to believe that they have return customers if this is what you get. My sister and I went here for a pedi and mani. She was first to get a pedi when I was getting a mani. The guy working on my nails took forever just to get my nails done. He kept fileing and fileing and they are not shaped well. Not to mention I asked for a design that they didn't seem to know how to do. On my toes I asked for stripes and the lady did them and they were horrible. She asked me If they looked okay. I said no and she ended up just painting all my toes the same color. My sister asked for a heart on her toe and this place didn't know how to do that. What kind of nail salon doesn't know how to do designs? So we got these done on sat and the clear gel they did on my hands is peeling off already. NOT HAPPY!! read more

Walk-ins do not seem to be welcomed! Tuesday before the 4th I stopped in for a mani/pedi. I was the only person there and it seemed they did not want me there. The guy was the one at the desk and started the water for the pedicure. Then a lady came out with a clear attitude that she hates her job. I asked for a firework on my big toe, simple design and was told she didn't know how to do that. What? Really! They have a bunch of complex designs displayed. I said don't worry, I can do it myself at home. Then the guy came over to do my manicure and kind of clipped one fingers cuticle and instantly made me bleed. He didn't even attempt to clip the other cuticles. Then barely shaped my nails. Hardly a word was spoken and it was incredibly awkward. They obviously do not want new customers. This is close to my home, but I will NEVER go back. I don't like to pay for bad work and to be treated poorly. Wish there was a zero rating. read more
