I came in with a huge breakout over my chin and told her that it was happening due to my retinol treatment. She advised me to stop the retinol (which is the opposite of the advice I had been given since my skin is likely purging from it but will stop once it runs its course). During the treatment I never felt her cleanse my skin (which she insisted that she did) or apply serums or creams, I felt barely anything go on and only light touches from her. She never told me what she was putting on my skin. To my horror, at the end she advised that I use neosporin on my acne and do honey masks. Both of which are not advised by anything you see online. I had to rush home to wash my skin in fear that the neosporin would start to do damage immediately. She offered to have my come back for free to do extractions but I will not return, to say the least. I am sure that this woman provides adequate facials to those with normal skin but I would never advise someone with serious acne seeing her.

She is now across the way near the State Farm building, really close to Chick Fil A, and right by the Covington Dental Care. Her studio is on the upper level so what's nice is you have the option of stairs or elevator. There are several offices inside that are beauty related as well. It's clean, quiet, and quaint. It shows I've checked in 6 times. I've actually been to Amanda's more. I just forget to check in. Her prices are up to par with everyone in the industry, and as always gives me great service. Since I get both my under arms and Brazilian she offers me a gown, as well as the table warmer. Really nice to have on cold Seattle days. The last year my doctor told me to stop getting Brazilians due to my hormones, and aging. I tried it for a year. Amanda would just trim my hair, and not sugar. I was thankful for the cleanup because I was miserable being hairy. After a year I decided enough is enough so today I had Amanda take it all off. It was so relaxing laying on the warm table as she sugared the hair off. Yes it hurts, but only for a split second. After she finished she moisturizes your skin. It's truly an experience to have.

This place however has always been consistent and I walk out with feeling great with my brows every time. They are quick and I never have to say what I'm looking for or give suggestions - they just know what to do to make your brows look good! Price is currently $6 for threading and I think around an additional $8 or so (can't remember exactly) for brow tint. There is an additional $.50 charge for using card on purchases under $20. If I ever move away from Kent I will make the drive here regularly for threading/tint - they're so good!

This was my first and last time coming here. I made a 10:00 AM appointment, arrived on time, and…read morewas assigned a nail technician. While she was in the middle of removing my gel, a walk-in customer came in and asked for my technician. Instead of respecting my appointment or even asking if I was okay with switching, the owner simply took my technician away from me and gave her to the walk-in. I was left sitting there for about 10 minutes before I finally asked why no one was working on me. The owner told me that the other customer had requested my technician and that another technician would help me -- but that person was currently eating breakfast. Seriously? I made an appointment and arrived on time, yet a walk-in customer was given priority over me because she requested the technician I was already being serviced by. That is completely unacceptable. Unfortunately, the replacement technician's work was just as disappointing. My manicure looked like it had already grown out after two weeks. There was a noticeable amount of space around my nails where the polish wasn't even applied properly. The pedicure was also poorly done. I specifically asked for round nails, but they were filed sharp. One side was longer than the other, and when I pointed it out, the technician kept filing instead of simply cutting the nail shorter. I had to explain that she was making the nail thinner and sharper instead of actually making it shorter before she finally used nail clippers. The French tips were uneven and sloppy, with some areas having much more polish than others. At that point, I was so frustrated and tired of having to point out every problem that I just stopped complaining and left. I normally go to Honest Nails, but I decided to try this place because it was closer and cheaper. Unfortunately, this experience reminded me that sometimes you really do get what you pay for. The price wasn't worth the poor service, the lack of respect for my appointment, or the quality of the work. I will never come back, and I definitely would not recommend this salon.
